Well since this is in the SW section, I'd guess a bunch of sets to tie in with "Clone Wars" since that's when it will debut.

I'm pleased with how they handled the Nazi issue. I was worried we'd get no bad guys at all or that they would have extremely bland uniforms. It looks really nice. *y*

I love the sets, they all look wonderful and have great minifigs, but I'm pretty mad they decided to go with the animated faces. I really don't feel like they had the consumer in mind when they did this. It's like going back to yellow minifigs for half the sets, which makes them pretty much incompatible. There's a lot of figs we'll only get in the animated series and we still haven't had a regular Anakin Ep III face (only LUL and the pilot face).

Which would you like to see more sets from?
WookieeWarrior replied to Piranha's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well, because I desperately want a minifig version of one of Padme's chrome ships, I'm going with the PT. There's a ton of ships and sets they've never done from that trilogy. -
Right. I typically wait a few months after a set comes out to get it, but I went ahead and bought the Sith Infiltrator on S@H yesterday just to be sure.

Let's take the other two limited editions in recent years that are both from the Star Wars line (apples and apples)- Ultimate Space Battle and Inperial Inspection. They were around for about 2 months at most, and a MISB goes for around $200 USD on eBay.

That's an awesome ship. I really hope his eyes aren't like that. I think it would be a huge mistake on LEGO's part to do Avatar style eyes for the CW show.

Teen Fans of LEGO?

That thing looks awesome! I was pretty concerned that it wouldn't look like it belongs in the SW LEGO universe, but they delivered on this one.
-
Yeah, I think the RBR is burner somewhere. No way that LEGO ends the line without one of the most iconic ships in minifig form with some of the most iconic soldiers. Don't get me wrong, though, I'd love to see them make SW sets long after 2011. There are so many great sets that they haven't made yet after almost 10 years, and with new shows on the horizon, I'm sure there will be plenty of memorable moments begging to get LEGO-ized.

Plus, because LEGO gets these pieces chromed in large quantities, the price increase shouldn't be that large (several dollars, at the most). That band wagon is rollin'!

Yeah. We've got to get the Royal Starcruiser bandwagon going. LEGO does listen, and if we're loud enough, we'll get it soon enough. I think for them to do it right, it has to be in chrome and if they do that, I know I would pay for the price difference. That would be such a beautiful set. And it would include a Padme. Forget cowbell, we need more Padme!
-
Exactly! Even here in the US, the chances of getting one is very small.

I imagine that we might get another $100ish big ship in minifig style. They've done it with the ISD and the Republic cruiser. I'd love to see one of Padme's Royal Starcruisers.

I thought DJSaulTNutz said earlier that the yellow starfighter for Anakin was from the new Clone Wars animated series. It would make sense because he's still Anakin and the ship would be one that he might fly between Ep II and III.

I agree. I'm a huge fan of Dash and the Outrider. Obviously they played a huge part in the "Shadows of the Empire" mulitmedia deal, but the Outrider is actually cannon as it was added into Ep IV in 1997 (one of the opening shots of Mos Eisley). And we did see the Outrider as an alternate model of the 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer, so I guess that gives us a little hope. It's also probably one of the best known of the EU vehicles, so that's also in it's favor. LEGO could easily make a great version of this for around $50-60.

Okay, well that sounds like a great set. I know that I can speak for all of us when I say that we really appreciate this info you've given us. Hopefully not too many Bothan spies died delievering us this news. lol

Perhaps this is testing the water for a bigger battleback (minifigs and a vehicle). I see this next year as a huge test for LEGO and what they want to do with the future of their Star Wars line (video games, tv shows, etc).

I'm very surprised that they'd go with the orange version instead of the blue one. Most people are much more familiar with the CW paint job and I think it's the cooler of the two.

Here's a few ideas of things I would buy faster than the Falcon can make the Kessel Run: - Rebel Blockade Runner ($100): Similar to the ISD and Republic Cruiser. Includes Leia, C-3P0, R2-D2, Rebel Commander (tan outfit), 2 Rebel Soldiers. - Rebel Battle Pack ($10): 4 Rebel Soldiers. - Ep III Naboo Star Skiff- ($125)- Chrome! Includes new (pregnant) Padme (like the video game), R2-D2, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker (Sith eyes), Captain Typho, and the chrome C-3P0. The chrome pieces justify the price, at least I feel they would. - Illum Attack ($15)- From the CW cartoon. Includes a few snow pieces, Yoda, 2 probe droids, and snow bunny Padme.

I think they could easily pull off a convincing mini version of the hailfire droid. If they did one about 3 inches tall it would probably be convincing.

This is a great set of... sets! Very excited about all these. LEGO's not holding anything back. *y*

This is so awesome!

Yes, and I'm glad I'm not the only one. I know that others have said that, and I've said it too, but I just wanted to explain my side of the debate one more time.
