Parts you have an unaccountable fondness for?
badboytje88 replied to Svelte's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Someow I nearly allways buy a frog, or multiple frogs everytime I place a bricklink order: Don't they just look cute! I love the little beady eyes. I'm also very fond of the dreaded spiral stair case: At first I didn't like this part at all but after seeing the many uses (ice cream, garlic, steam) I grew very attatched to these babies: The last part for today is the teapot: I just love the oversized look. That's all -
I would say no since I'm not a woman nor a frog.

Nice creation, About the two women in the last shot. I don't think tan or white are suitable colours for killing zombies... With all the blood and brains everywhere...

Thanks guys for all your comments. I appreciate it a lot. Thanks to this project I now know what a viper is, but I didn't when I started building this. Here you can see a referance pic of an actual viper: http://www.colonialfleets.com/darrell/viper_comparison1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3019878 Good day to you all!

I finished it! I like it for a first attempt at building a space ship. I'm not sure if I'll ever build one again. It was hard, and not really my piece of cake. It looks very swooshable but isn't swooshable at all. The engines fall off very easily... To bad! More pictures in my flickr photo stream Bart

Great scene, I love how you made the roof. Very inventive.

Imperial Soldier's Mafia - Sign Up
badboytje88 replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hello I would absolutely love to play! -
I'm going to follow my own inspiration. If I were to create a realistic viper I would need to go to bricklink for some parts (like a star wars cockpit) but in stead I decided to just use the pieces I have in my collection at the moment. So it probably won't end up looking like a viper... But what the heck. Here is an updated pic: (sorry for the bad quality picture) Bart

MOC: Driving the cattle past the old shop
badboytje88 replied to Etzel's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow this MOC is so lovely! There are so many great great details in the MOC, I won't name them all but one; the VULTURE! It is perfect! -
Well I didn't know what a viper was when I started this project. But wikipedia, brickshelf and flickr have helped me a whole bunch. Bart

Do you like studs hidden or showing?
badboytje88 replied to Legoist's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Here is my list of stuff I would build SNOT and stuff I would build SOT Grass - SOT Water - SNOT (But definately not tiled) Rough water - SOT Modern roads - SNOT Old roads - SOT (cobblestone roads with lots of 1x1 rounds) Pavement - SNOT Rocks SNOT - (I love covering up all those studs with dark bley cheese) Floors - SNOT (I am a huge fan of paterns made with 1x1 tiles) Old floors - SOT (I'm also a sucker for paterns made with 1x1 plates) Space hangars - SNOT (To make everything look smooth) Other planet - SOT Desert sand - SOT Space ships - SNOT (For better swooshability) Ship - SNOT Cars -SNOT (If possible) Furniture - SNOT SNOT SNOT This is how I would build these things. Given that I'd have enough parts to tile them. I do however have a huge problem with tiled water. Tiled water looks awefull. Using blue bricks and building SNOT with them looks so much better. Bart Edit: It took me at least 3 times to edit this post... I'm like the post editor! -
Wow those mountains are really lovely! I admire everyone who can make great themed figs without using fig parts designed for that theme.

Final Minifig thoughts on Pirates '09 (includes 10210)
badboytje88 replied to Diamondback's topic in LEGO Pirates
Sandy is right. LEGO used this face for the Imperial Flagship maiden: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb366 Otherwise this is a very nice list. It looks like LEGO designed a lot of new faces for the pirates line but if you go and look at all the other themes there are only 4 or 5 faces which hadn't been used in other themes. So that's not all that much. Bart -
Yeah LEGO give us some pics!

Thanks for the advise, I'll do some research on brickshelf! I have no idea wat a BSG is... I'm just making this up as I go, so it's definately not a replica. I'm not so into Sy-Fy... But I'm always up for a challenge! Thanks for your comments guys!

TOMBCLONE: Wild West MOC Series
badboytje88 replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow you just keep spilling out these lovely western MOCs! The minifigs are awesome as usual. I really like the use of the cape as poncho. I love the use of those odd sand green bricks in the sand green building. Bart -
So I'm doing something completely new, something I have never done before. I'm building a viper. Since I am a complete Viper n00b I would like your help. I've only build the nose, but I would like to know what you think of my viper so far. Here is a pic: Your comments and critics are very much appreciated! Bart
