The Imperial Soldier replied to Captain Pirate Man's topic in LEGO Pirates
Lol, that's what I would have suggested. Just change the flags to Bluecoat ones! -
Video Review- Imperial Trading Post set #6277
The Imperial Soldier replied to Captain Pirate Man's topic in LEGO Pirates
Combining the EF and ITP would put the Imperial base on a par with the RIR and probably slightly better! ;) -
I agree with what you're saying but I think the ones without shakos had tricorns and were "Imperial Sailors" and "Imperial Officers" so wouldn't have backpacks anyway.

Useful Pirate Pieces from other Themes?
The Imperial Soldier replied to ZCerberus's topic in LEGO Pirates
In the classic Pirates I era there doesn't appear to be any civilian figures (except for maybe the merchants). Any suggestions for torsos and legs to create male / female civilians? -
After the Eldorado Fortress, Sabre Island was my 2nd pirate set as a kid. Still one of the best value sets. I've got 3! If you can get them for a good price the parts included are great for building up armies and extra parts for MOCs.

My Pirate/ Castle/ LOTR, World/MOC
The Imperial Soldier replied to Captain Pirate Man's topic in LEGO Pirates
I've only just got round to watching this after seeing some of your other reviews. Really cool setup. I like the way you've combined the Pirates and Castle lines whilst still keeping the red and blue factions. The mix of sea and land with a few MOCs included is great too. -
Just got boxed sets of 6234 Renegades Raft, 6257 Castaways Raft & 6259 Broadsides Brig. Also came with an extra 6257 without box. I already had all these sets but the main reason I bought it was the boxed 6259 which I hadn't got. Have seen this for sale a lot over the last 6 months but this is only the second one I've seen which was boxed.

The price per figure isn't too bad on that. About £3.50 each. Still pretty expensive though. Under 3000 Euro would be about right!

I'm wondering if they did actually sell because both of the auctions were bid up quite substantially by bidders with 0 feedback. The price the 121 redcoats ended on is rather coincidentally the same price per figure that the seller was trying to sell 20 figures for as a "buy it now" very recently. I actually offered £60 for 20 bluecoats and it was flat out refused. They were advertised at £120 but the most the seller would go down to was £5.50 a figure so £110. I'd only ever go above £3 a figure if they were a bit rarer.

It finished at £720 and the Bluecoat auction at £255. So the seller made £975 selling 189 minifigs.

I just noticed it's the same seller I saw a few weeks ago trying to sell 5 bluecoats for £25 and 20 bluecoats for £120. They were "buy it now" listings but indicate they're looking for £5-6 per minifig. So they must be hoping the bidding on this latest auction will be £500-600.

OK, I've finally got round to sorting through the listing I got from eBay of a rather dusty 6285:BSB, lots of extra pieces from the 6270:FI set, castle pieces and minifigs. Boxed sets and more eBaying! by The Imperial Soldier, on Flickr Since receiving I've dismantled the BSB and all the other parts and given them a wash in soapy water. They will still all need another clean. Meanwhile I have taken out all of the minifigs, animals and weapons to see what was included in full. This is what came out: Minifigs eBay buy by The Imperial Soldier, on Flickr Minifigs eBay buy by The Imperial Soldier, on Flickr As you can see a lot of the minifigs had all the parts jumbled when they arrived but there were 36 altogether (8 not Pirates theme), 4 monkeys, 4 parrots and 2 sharks. I have now re-arranged the parts and am pleased to have another 28 Pirate themed minifigs. Only 5 need hats to complete them. Minifigs eBay buy by The Imperial Soldier, on Flickr I'm very close to having 100 Bluecoats now! :)

All my stuff is classic pirates era. So on the left are 40 standard Imperial Soldiers. On the right there are 7 Imperial Sailors at the back with an Imperial Officer. At the front there's Governor Broadside, the Governors personal guard in brown tricorns and red capes, Lt. De Martinet and an Admiral who I don't have a name for yet. There are 4 more Imperial Officers behind them then in the middle is a Harbour Sentry and 4 random tricorn troops. I need to get more red epaulettes so I can convert them into more soldiers with the shako and back pack.

What is your latest Licensed purchase?
The Imperial Soldier replied to Themadpatter's topic in LEGO Licensed
21108 Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (a compromise as I don't have the money for the firehouse) 75078 Star Wars Imperial Troop Transport (an extra set to take the order over £50 for free postage) 30603 Batman Classic Mr Freeze (a free gift with the order) -
