All right, I admit it. I had your boat. I don't think Mr. Tiber ever had it. But I haven't got it anymore. I sold it for a bunch of pretty blue flowers. Here is the proof. You can see it in the shop window. After the bucket incident I wanted revenge and did flush the boat, but it wouldn't go down, not even when I tried sending a chaser down as well. I don't know how that photo was taken but it was after I changed my mind and decided to keep it. But when I saw that woman. *wub* Sorry, but she makes me forget all about clams.... I think she feels the same way too!

Hey, that's a bit harsh. :'-( But to answer your question, no theme at all, just make what you can with the pieces from four sets. The blues and greens were hard to blend. More comments will have to wait until we reveal who made what...

"But I wanted to go to Tashii Station to pick up some power converters" whines Luke as he leaves Obi Wan to deal with the problems of the world. He jumps into his landspeeder... and it proceeds to explode. R4-P17 hiding behind some junk whistles and the viewer is left to assume he sabataged it for unknown reasons.

Indeed; more building less talking! I better go off now and take my own advice! :-D -
Free Form Limited Set MOC Proposal (FFLSMP)
Siegfried replied to Siegfried's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks very much! *sweet* I have added them. I will be adding some of my possiblities soon. Hopefully we can find at least 500 pieces of common sets. I tend to keep sets together for a year and then break them. (Some I don't though.) I haven't had a set that I have never made yet. (Ignoring doubles.) But I could change the proposal to say "or would be prepared to buy", but I don't want to exclude people who can't easily buy more. -
Free Form Limited Set MOC Proposal (FFLSMP)

I was hoping to avoid that as I wanted people to do the work for me! X-D I wanted then to post what they had, and then I would try to put together a competion based on that. However, what it seems I will have to do is try and put together a few suitible combos.... or I could just give up and do another competition with Hinckley! Thanks for the replies! *sweet* I have got more to go on now. -

Free Form Limited Set MOC Proposal (FFLSMP)

But that was the whole point of this thread; people say what they have and once we find five people with enought of the common sets we start another competition. I never even mentioned buying sets. I certainly wouldn't buy a set just for a competition myself! Hinckley's examples were only that, and if you look at the list at the top, I had only one avaliable. I would really like to do this and I still hope I can find five people (hopefully including me!) to participate. While enjoyable, a two person comp is too personal and risks causing tension. The more the merrier I think, and I am prepared to go for any set, no matter how old, or even a list of parts. I even said "possibly even with no fixed colours" to make it easier. The entire point for this competition was to level the playing field for people with less bricks, not force people to buy more. Are these just random examples? -
That's not fair; he was blaming me... I hope you have extended the keel as well; that is a huge sail!

Hinckley came over to my house and took the photos. ;-) EDIT: This is turning out well; at 25 votes it is 14/11. It's going to be close!

At risk of being beaten up by Starwars4J, here are all the images... MOC 1 MOC 2 (Sorry; I don't want to wait for the moderation. It could take days and I am dying to get my bucket back!)

What do you think should be the maximum piece count? -
The vote is on. Vote for me here. X-D

The new small Technic sets have incredible functionality for their size, and this one is no exception. With only 106 parts this crane can roll, extend, rotate, lift (and hold in any position) and has working stabilisers! The boom extends the same as the other sets with this boom; simply pull it. It works surprisingly well and due to circular ridges inside the boom the extension (which is just a standard beam) will hold in place. The gear at the back controls the height of the boom. As you can see the boom is only half extended. Boom fully extended, half down. The cable is kept in place via two gears and a blue pin, same as the 7905 crane. Even under decent weights this works well. The stabilisers however cannot handle much weight once the load is moved off axis. The stablilsers are a very simple but effective design. Another shot of the stablilsers. This also shows how far the boom will decend. The boom height mechanism works well also. I love the cab design. Overall this is a remarkable achievement for the low price. I bought it for the boom piece as I want to improve the crane that came with 7998 7898 ( :-$ ). I highly recommend it.

It's not your fault. From what I have heard you are extremely busy this weekend. I had the photos ready about a day before... -

Due to a combination of the moderator being busy this weekend and a mix up as to who was sending the photos to him (ultimately my fault) it has been delayed. Hopefully it will still go on this weekend. Our MOCs are 100% ready though. -

Free Form Limited Set MOC Proposal (FFLSMP)

OK. I get the hint. :'-( Could anyone please tell me what I could do to make this idea more appealing? Less pieces? A single set? Different name? Or should me and Hinckley just have another challenge next month? (We are considering doing that anyway...) -
Chewie and the wookie warrior square off. They are the same strength, same size, and same skill. Yet Chewie wins in under ten seconds, ripping the other wookies head off using only one hand. Why? Because Chewie has a name. In a match of a named character vs a un-named character the named one will win 90% of the time. It is just one of the laws of nature that cannot be explained.

You have been doing some interesting work lately; keep it up! I look forward to seeing it completed. I have planned a similar building for Sinnerton.

I think this is the most surprising review on Eurobricks yet! Have you worn the hat out yet? Do you put it on and give orders around your house?
