My thought on that is that unless you have a long thin engine there is no way to get access to most of it anyway. My old Radar was designed so there was just enough room between cabinets to open doors.. ...but it is harder to design engines this way. (Sorry I couldn't resist! :-$ ) In todays ships engines, and often Radars and guns are designed to be removed completely for any major maintainence (and often for routine work as well) and I can't see this changing. Most aircraft, the ISS and the shuttle work the same way. My preference has always been for external engines for safety reasons and (oddly) easy of maintainence. The way I see it is that it would be easier to fix an external engine as there would be less size/shape constraints and you could then design it in a modular fashion so there was duplication of parts and thus you could then use parts from several engines to get one working. Most military equipment is designed so parts can be swapped for ease of testing and repairs. Small modules you could even bring inside for more delicate work. But this is just the way I prefer things! :-P I do! Are you going to put a worm gear in there to lock it in place, or do you have something else in mind? Well I wasn't complaining. :-P

:-P You might have a point! I quite liked my little worker mech. :'-( How would that work though if we both did one next time?

The PF motors are quite powerful actually. If they use any of the current ones I will be happy.

Shhh! I know; but don't ruin Hinckley's moment. ;-)

Sort of. I did lose after all, I was crying all night. :'-(

I love it. I so want to make something 1/10 this good but I don't have the pieces. (I probably don't have the talent either... :'-( ) I love the wall details of all the buildings, and that bridge is stunning. Nice pig too. :-D You did an excellent job of the river bank. Thanks for posting and welcome to Eurobricks! *wub*

Now this is an excellent example of creative parts usage. *wub* Absolutely stunning work! The head is so cool! How tall is he?

I ended up buying both this and the dozer. :-$ I plan on using my Dino for a IR car in a month or two...

"The creator"? "The creator"?! Oh, give me a break! "The creator" of that beautiful building is Hinckley and you know it! How did you miss the vote? Me and Hinckley were advertising it and we are both decently active here. Or do you ignore both of us now? :'-(

Very good work on a very odd idea! :-D

I think that they will make a new IR sensor and remote as you can't have one speed trains. I'd say that they would also make a new sensor mold that would be easier to integrate; perhaps 6x2 with the switch and power connectors in the middle? But I think BUCHI has proved that it isn't that hard to do as is. His motor solution is especially elegant.

Those disc launcer are pretty lame. I wish Lego would stop making them. Great improvement! *sweet*

Even I did this once as I got some X-Wing pilot Lukes cheap at the Lego shop in Disneyland and I didn't have a non-key ring one. (I still don't.) I just used pliers and it came out easy.

That is such a beautiful set. *wub* I can't beleive you got is so cheap. I better add this to my BrickLink list.

Are Scala Elements in a 'System' Creation Legal?
Siegfried replied to SirNadroj's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Why use Lego at all then? Kit bashing allows far more flexiblity, and it would be far cheaper. It's what the pros do afterall. -
That is beautiful work. *wub* There's so much to say! (Sorry for missing phase one. :-$ ) Very smart usage of the Tuners Garage! That tower is simple but still stunning The office building is cool! I really love the hospital. The apartment block is very whacky looking but still excellent! That restaurant is a cool idea! I love the "kitchen"! It is great to see a MOC with mechanics. *wub* I look forward to the next update.

Cool! :-D Please keep it up for a bit longer if you can; you might actually persuade someone to read the books. Perhaps I should join in... 8-|

That is a really nice ship and it's why you got my vote! *wub* . The stern is probably too tall for my taste, but the reference ship looks even taller! 8-

From what I have heard from a German friends, German is hard due to genderfication of words.

Are Scala Elements in a 'System' Creation Legal?
Siegfried replied to SirNadroj's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well it's a fair argument, but my attitude always was that if you don't like the limitation of Lego (or even Lego and M$g^Bl&ks) then maybe you should be a kit basher. Adding a bit of plastic for a windscreen is one thing (RalphS on Brickshelf does this and I find it tolerable) but I think if you go any futher then it is not a Lego creation. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, as kit bashing is a skill in itself (just like modifying parts is), but IMHO it just isn't a Lego MOC any more. EDIT: I was looking at pheds beautiful ship and it reminded me that I think string and paper/cloth sails are OK in my book as well. Will I think of any more in time? Am I really a kit-basher? Only time will tell! -
Thanks for the translation; my spanish stops at numbers. :-$

As a possible sneak peek, BUCHI on Brickshelf has done an excellent job in using the existing PF parts for a train. Smartly done! *wub* More photos are here.

Yes, I noticed that. It is a mistake. They probably added Grevious as a unit. Strewth! I haven't checked that price for a while. No sale from me! :-P

...but BMP really should be avoided as they can be over 10 times as big...

I pick matador tres. ;-) I was showing my wife these pictures as I wanted to show her the hat, and she asked if he was supposed to be a matador so it couldn't be too bad a job! *sweet*
