Or, you might have a lot less. We could all die tomorrow. Would that make us old now? Kid ponders his existence for a second. Age is a strange thing. I always assumed people gain wisdom with age, but we're being led by a five year old Knight who's probably wiser than all of us combined. -

I guess so. Kid chuckles a bit, inspecting the path of the pipes. Where I'm from, some even consider me an elder. He smiles somberly while thinking of his family. Leprechauns just... don't live for very long. -

I mean, the wisps have only bothered her recently, but the Salamander spoke like he's guarded them for a much longer time. As far as how so many forms of life appeared, I'd say that if someone were truly trying to sabotage these experiments, they wouldn't feel the need to add Sudz an Kal, who are completely harmless. I'd imagine they sprung up my accident. And sure, the Ziegrieds or the Wolf-faces or whatever could just as likely add the wisps only, but if some life can pop up here by chance, the wisps would be no exception. Kid shakes his head. The world is a crazy place. -
Maybe just to give other characters an ability to comment on these memories you could play them out like a hologram or recording or something. It's a bit far fetched for a medievalish setting, but if you tweak some sort of way to make a memory that is tangible to the other characters, it could interesting. Otherwise, you can always make it like Vindsval's conversations with The Wanderer.Also, I might as well ask what others think of my character so far. I haven't had many dramatic moments, but I was wondering if I seem to have a consistent/defined character.

Upon hearing her confusion about the wisps, Kid realizes there has been a misunderstanding. His hand retreats from his crossbow and offers it for a handshake. Remembering her ability to melt off flesh, he puts his hand into his pocket instead. You must be talking about Sudz. You two should meet. Nah, man. Kid begins to put two and two together. Well isn't that just poetic. He likes your singing, you like his... smell. Kid shrugs. Not a perfect love story, I'll admit, but it's not like perfect love stories actually exist. -

Kid recovers from the visions and notices the tip of his crossbow in his mouth. He removes it, hoping no one noticed his almost suicidal venture. It seems like these guys came out of their caves or whatever when the salamander was killed. But I don't for a second think that it was just this group. This was just the first wave. What other monsters have we let loose by killing a creature who wouldn't let us pass? -
