  1. Since when did this forum become all out war between users? I thought this forum was for AFOLs, not children
  2. Thanks! Still seems steep compared to the US price with tax:/
  3. How much would the US price be after tax??
  4. This set is awesome! Big selling point is the 4 new superheroes + black cat! Unfortunately in the UK it seems the price will be £275 which is very steep imo compared to US price:/
  5. $300 / 3 new characters = $100 per new character lol I'm well aware we get a huge build and other figures, but the minigures are key and $300 for a set with 3 only 3 new figures is pretty steep this theme news fresh ideas, not recycled old ones:/ the new figures are the only thing selling this set to me as I don't normally buy sets over £150! I already have a Daily Bugle and loads of spider-man, venom, mysterio, green goblin, doc ock, etc figures. (prays for a Kingpin fig)
  6. In my opinion getting only 3 new characters out of 14 in a $300 set is not generous at all lol. Thats $100 per new character! I have collected every single Marvel set (except D2Cs) since day one and unfortunately it feels like the past few years I haven't added any NEW characters to my minifigure collection, just variants (and a million Outriders, Chitauri, AIM soldiers )
  7. Honestly I'm so grateful we are seeing some long wished-for minifigs such as Black Cat and Daredevil appear in this Daily Bugle set! This has reinvigorated my passion for this theme after the past 3 years of Avengers sets featuring my 507th variations of Iron Man, Cap, and Thor with 56 outriders, and Spider-Man sets featuring venomised Venom mechs starring Venom Hope this leads to a better frequency of new characters in LEGO sets as there is still a treasure chest of untapped potential in the X-Men, Defenders, Fantastic Four - as well as Spider-Man and Avengers villains we have yet to see!
  8. You literally said "LEGO has never made a set based on a Sony movie", just admit you were wrong and move on bro;)
  9. Agreed! I think certain members don't realise how many members quietly use this forum and don't want to read pages and pages of immature, hostile, and counterproductive arguments.
  10. I adore the MCU as much as the next super-nerd, but consider the following inequality: the number of Marvel comics main characters who haven't appeared in minifigure form > the number of MCU main characters who haven't appeared in minifigure form I have 5? War Machine minifgures yet not a single Daredevil, so I think we can see why some people people would rather unique comics characters to a MCU variant minifgure such as Iron Patriot Mk2
  11. You're telling me that THE best LEGO DC wave of all time was rushed?? I long for another wave like this!
  12. Question: how does one sign up to subscribe to the UK catalogue? May seem like a stupid question though but I can't work it out!
  13. It's hard to imagine that it takes 1.5 years to design "spider-jet vs venom"
  14. Not a single new character in this wave! Although that Mysterio is awesome . If LEGO is insistent on so many Spider-Man sets, at least give us Lizard, Kingpin, Black Cat, Silver Sable, Daredevil, Prowler, Agent Venom, etc. This wave definitely skews younger than any Marvel wave ever has before - they all feel like 4+ plus sets . I feel this theme has gone downhill since 2018:/
  15. The trailer for Avengers PS4 only makes me wish more that they had a set with Abomination in! Hopefully one day we'll get a bigfig of him
  16. By the end of this year I think I will have more A.I.M. agents than I have friends, there's 12 of them this year if I'm counting correctly? Even Red Skull's henchman are A.I.M. agents as opposed to the usual Hydra goons! Kinda annoyed with LEGO constantly reusing henchman across an entire wave - like they have done with A.I.M. agents this year, and Outriders the previous two years. The sets this year could have been a perfect oportunity to explore more Avengers villains, even if the mininifgure selection was limited to characters that appear in the videogame. I'm also dissapointed that in the Avengers waves this year, there are no minifigures of new characters at all, just new versions of existing minifigures, except for the A.I.M. agent (which is a horrible design and inferior to their design in the comics and even the videogame itself). On the plus side, the Helicarrier and Avengers Tower are awesome, as well as a the new Iron Man armours. However if I get one more Hulkbuster I think I think I'll go mad I wish there was more originality and creativity across this year's sets, as everything seems like a rehash. There's a wealth of Marvel locations, vehicles and characters that could make for great LEGO sets!
  17. Sorry if this has been asked before but when do the new Batman sets release in the UK?
  18. Now I've seen that I can't unsee it
  19. Does anyone know if Hamleys still have the bricktober set in stores?
  20. So for those who have purchased the set on Hamleys website has your order been cancelled because they've withdrawn it from their website??
  21. Is the hamleys in Cardiff selling the bricktober set?
  22. Do you or anyone else know why LEGO puts in strange-coloured interior bricks in their builds? Thanks
  23. Sets look great, especially the Sanctum. Shame that more minifgures aren't included in the sets as there are plenty of characters to choose from and the larger sets seem light on minifigures :)
