  1. Pretty decent minifig selection in these sets! Not too fussed about missing some X-Men since I already have the minifigs and designs are close enough, eg Beast and Gambit. Mystique and Nightcrawler are new, so those were the two mutants I wanted the most. So glad we are getting shirtless Thing and flame-on Human Torch. I expected as much when the debut set last year was powerless for all of the Fantastic Four. Disappointing that Invisible Woman isn’t here powered up with some translucent pieces:/ Hoping Mr Fantastic has bendy arms, like Ms Marvel. Doctor Doom being a repeat I don’t mind for play value, and pleasantly surprised that no heroes have been repeated in this wave. In terms of Avengers, I already have a billion minifigs of these characters so not too bothered about omissions. Finally, very pleased to be adding Sentry and Red Guardian to my Thunderbolts roster, although missing US Agent. Again, don’t mind about omitting Ghost as she already has a minifig. Bring on spoiler waves next year!
  2. I think that even though the concept art featured the confirmed characters, there could be lots of unconfirmed characters who will make surprise appearances, eg Captain Marvel and Photon. How could they not be included since Photon is currently in the X-Men universe with Beast? Scarlet Witch is screaming out for a ressurection, which would surely be kept secret from marketing? Notably I do find it a shame that two of the three remaining original Avengers, the Hulk and Hawkeye, are not confirmed for the movie - just Thor. Nor is Nick Fury, although he wasn't in marketing for the last two Avengers movies either but made cameo appearances. Also with the return of Robert Downey Jr, surely War Machine should be around here somewhere?
  3. Damn shame with all the iconic characters appearing in X-Men '97 season 2 that there are no sets
  4. I think if the set is based on Avengers: Doomsday then it could be a version of Scarlet Witch. I absolutely expect that she is going to have a role in Doomsday and/or Secret Wars, and if she doesn't then it's a huge missed opportunity for numerous reasons. However I think this set is actually comics based, since this set features two mechs, and the previous mech sets were comics based. That's why I'm theorising characters not necessarily linked to Domsday. (And hoping it is a new character)
  5. The January 2027 wave sounds promising, some good choices and fresh characters / ideas! Lasher and Demogoblin are new and welcome Spidey rogues in cheap playsets. Minifig version of Galactus is cool too, but when are we gonna get Silver Surfer? Curious about who the "female Doctor Doom" is supposed to be in the Thor vs Doom mechs set? Is it a gender-swapped Doom - or a character that the leaker didn't recognise initially? Valeria Richards? The Enchantress? Lady Sif? Lady Loki? Still hoping for more F4 or X-Men sets next year, since both teams are being pushed more by Marvel at the moment, most prominently in Avengers: Doomsday. In fact, hoping for more sets based off this film too after its release. For me, it's ideal when LEGO waves have representation for the big 4 corners of Marvel mythos: Spider-Man, Avengers, X-Men, F4.
  6. Hello, I follow the Marvel and DC yearly forums, and I have a stream set-up for approximately 10 years that lists just the unread messages in forums I follow. This year, for some reason, even though I follow the 2026 forums and I am not reading them, this steam is EMPTY. I have tried messaging using "Contact Us" button, but no response. Please help!
  7. Random question, but is this topic not appearing in anyone else's stream even though they are following it and there's new messages?
  8. Come on LEGO, there's loads of X-Men material you've yet to mine!
  9. I just realised this and don't know if anyone has noted this, but the minifigure selected for Arkham jumpsuits in the latest Arkham Asylum set leaves no repeats from previous normal Arkham Asylum sets (with the exception of the Joker, presumably as you can't produce an Arkham Asylum set without Batman's most iconic rogue). Here are who appears in Arkham jumpsuits in each normal set: 2013: The Joker 2017: Catwoman, Riddler, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, (and Joker) 2025: Bane, Killer Croc, Penguin, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Penguin, (and Joker) Perhaps this explains why only Catwoman, Riddler, Poison Ivy are in their villainous customes, and Two-Face wasn't included at all. Just an observation.
  10. A lot of US Agent apologists on this forum! He did decapitate a surrendering henchman in a public space. It's clear he's on a redemption arc in the MCU and it's fine to enjoy the character, but to whitewash all his actions simply because he's a sympathetic character is strange. It's also completely understandable why Sam and Bucky would not be in favour of someone whose values misalign with their best friend Steve to take on his legacy - especially as it goes against what is essentially his dying wish to Sam. Anyways, hope LEGO produces a minifigure of US Agent some day!
  11. Haven't bought a new DC set in nearly 5 years. While Arkham Asylum looks amazing and is so tempting, it's really expensive and the minifigure selection is not exclusive enough to warrant the price point. At least the Daily Bugle and X-Mansion had 5 exclusive new characters each - some of which fans had been begging for for years. The rumours that next year's wave is just repeat Batmobiles from old films is disappointing. Please LEGO, give me some regular DC sets other than Batmobiles and a minifgure selection expanding beyond Batman, the Joker, and Harley Quinn. I'm sure the designers are as bored as the consumers at this point.
  12. At first, I was interested in a new LEGO Batman game since I loved and played the first three games. In fact, the first game was what sparked my interest in both LEGO and Batman many years ago. I'm dissapointed that this is not an original story like the first three games, but instead a weird merging of previous Batman films. Being bound by previous films really limits creativity, and you can see that reflected in its character choices. Although I think they are good films, I don't think that the Nolan or Reeve films are that fantastical or comic-booky so in my opinion they are a poor decision to make a LEGO Batman game on. Also in general, I am tired of LEGO mostly regurgitating content from films decades old, rather than being creative and innovate with something fresh and new.
  13. Honestly, I am not trying to argue with you that MCU doesn't have problems because it clearly does. I also don't want to start arguing about more things. All I wanted to defend was that, given the power of the Avengers brand with families and its historical record-breaking box office grosses, it would be extremely unlikely for Doomsday to gross under $600M, or be be lower than Supergirl, as someone had claimed. I would bet massive amounts of money on that.
  14. I don't use or need or want AI to express my opinions, thanks. I just try to write clearly so my points could not be misconstrued. I was trying to make a point that family friendly films are doing well post-pandemic, and Marvel as a brand is extremely favoured by children. As well as adults of course, as we are all here! Exactly, a lot of Marvel's audience are not online. All three MCU movies this year have underperformed, but I wouldn't say Fantastic Four: First Steps bombed when it's the highest grossing F4 movie and tracking for $500M range. I think people have poor memory and look through rose-coloured glasses since the MCU has ALWAYS been a mixed bag in terms of box office and quality (except for a 2-year period between 2017 and 2019, which featured two Avengers movies). The one consistent money maker has been the Avengers films, which is why I'm defending that Doomsday will likely make more than $600M and more than Supergirl, as someone had claimed earlier. Anyways, to end on a positive note, I hope future films are good quality for both Marvel and DC so we can continue to enjoy our LEGO hobby!
