DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Hoth Rebel replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Tbh, some sets on the confidential pictures looked more done than others (Deku Tree, Disney sets and Batman vs Barad Dur and X mansion) so I would expect the better looking ones further in the progress of getting released. -
It looks great, but on the Lego page it says 50cm deep. However, when I count the studs I get to 40-50 studs max (including the angle) which is 32-40cm. On all the lifestyle pictures it doesn't look like 50cm so I was wondering what other people think/see regarding the depth?

It looks great, but it looks like a somewhat extended art set. Doesn't really matter though if we get animated series figures. -

Well, I also don't believe these rumors, but there are also things for it. If I had a big rumor I wanted to post and know is true/have evidence, but people/mods wouldn't believe it due to it being very unlikely (like Zelda) then I could contact a moderator and show them my proof. That way I don't have to share confidential information on the internet but rather with 1 person who can be trusted not to post it online. The only way to confirm this is for a moderator to back his leaks. Not saying the moderators name doesn't mean he hides it though. There is also a Toy Fair and showings for retailers for upcoming sets these weeks. So if he indeed is a insider or retailer then he would be able to know this information. However, D2C sets are 99 out of the 100 times displayed after a curtain (if they're displayed at all) and you're not allowed to take your phone or notes with you. So he would have to remember everything and there are many details. And the account is fairly active (recent) on Eurobricks, with no bad reputation whatsoever, so why risk getting banned? Unless he is done with LEGO or got 'hacked'. But the fact that the 'leaks' are all highly anticipated themes or sets makes me say these are fake. -

Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion

More info on instagram including piece counts for all sets and that there is a brickbuilt launcher that will launch minifigures in a clear ball. It seems all sets are minifig based (system scale) and can connect to make a bigger layout. -

LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion

Sonic would be great (not as good as Zelda, but it comes close). Sonic does make more sense since LEGO already produced Sonic based sets, the movies are/sell great and have upcoming spin-off series for streaming and they have the mould for his head. If it's true then I hope they do Eggman justice and give us at least Knuckles, Tails, Amy and Shadow. -
To be fair LEGO does probably market this to 18+ non afol crowd. So a microscale one-off wouldn’t be a bad thing to do from that standpoint. The problem is that this forum and many afol want playscale and an entire wave afterwards and that is what they expect as the bare minimum. I hope I’m wrong and we get something like the harry potter return in 2018, but the piececount, price and history of recent (18+) sets makes me think a lot of people will be disappointed.
-
Are any minifigures ‘confirmed’ by leakers? All I know is that it’s rivendell and apparently 6167 pieces which tells me it’s microscale.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Hoth Rebel replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
About the car: if you just don't place the sticker than you have a Morbius car (don't know why he would need one though). -
For what it's worth, that's (Rivendell) also what I heard from my sources and they haven't been wrong before. However, I don't know if it's systemscale or micro-scale. Normally I wouldn't even think of micro-scale, but since the Hogwarts Castle was micro-scale and earlier LOTR sets didn't sell too well I wouldn't rule it out. I probably think it has a bigger chance to be micro-scale as I think LEGO thinks that we (18+ AFOLs) would want that as a display piece, but that is just my opinion and based on nothing else.

Still got 1 day to decide if I want to buy the Hogwarts Express for €400 with 2 promos and double VIP.. Probably one of the best deals to ever come by but do I actually need it. -

Plus if there's a OG Quinjet then the Avengers will be spread out over the amount of sets coming out. If we get 6-7 figures then at least 2 of them will be generic villain (Chitauri). -
While I rather have a playset or minifig scale build, all I ask for is a Sauron minifigure. If they give me that then everything else is extra.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Hoth Rebel replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think I would rather buy parts on Bricklink (after a few weeks/months) than waiting weeks/months for B&P and finding out that most of the parts I want are in the same pricerange as on Bricklink. Before the prices were much lower so waiting for B&P was worth it, but right now I don't see a reason to wait. Especially if they sell out within hours. -

In my mind the 76105 Hulkbuster was €250 for some reason, but it was €140 retail here. That actually was a good price looking back even though it has it flaws. I simply hope LEGO doesn't look at the sales of the Hulkbuster/Black Panther bust and think people don't want €350+ sets. It's their (and/or Disney) choices that don't make any sense. I suppose the sets would be fine if the prices were 20-30% lower although I still think they wouldn't sell better or as well as playsets. It's simply not what adult collectors want right now imo. -
I wouldn't rule out anything regarding D2C sets lately :p But yes, it would seems very unlikely.
-
If the rumor for the D2C is real, I don't see them do Minas Tirith or Rivendell. If it's a playscale set it will probably be Helms Deep. Something like the 90th anniversary castle but then with an extended wall. My worst fear is that it is real and it's like a microscale or bust/statue with 0-2 minifigures.

The Lord of the Rings 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Hoth Rebel replied to Alegrispa's topic in LEGO Licensed
Imo all licensed themes should be in this section with the exception of Star Wars due to it's following. It don't think it has much to do with historic but is only there because LOTR has castles and there were no sets so the topic here would be on page 3847 a few years ago. If it's coming back it should be in the place were most people who come here for the first time will expect it and that is in the Licensed section. That the contents of the forum beneath the name mention it says nothing as this one states Simpsons.. Also the fact that Licensed is crowded isn't even true as it has one of the lowest amount of topics (only the Action Figures section has less and Historic has twice as much and that's not even counting the Guilds of Historica). Eurobricks should do an overhaul of the themes as somethings are outdated and/or don't make sense. Either way, someone has to make a decision about what to do with the 3 topics that exist now. -
LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Hoth Rebel replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It could be yeah. Jabba's Palace Throne Room based on the Boushh scene is coming, however the question remains if Promobricks simply got or understood given information the wrong way (ie. they got info on a throne room and thought about Death Star instead of Jabba's Palace which in all is quite logical. If people talk about the throne room I think most of us will think about the Death Star scene) or that they got the right information with the wrong set number. Either way it doesn't make sense that they would list it as €70 as Jabba's Palace setnumber was €100 from the beginning. So I would think the Death Star Throne Room set is still coming and there was a mixup with the setnumbers. Since there were 3 diorama sets this year it also make more sense that there are 3 next year. -

Jabba's Palace is €100. From my understanding/sources it indeed has the Throne Room set number, but I don't know why Promobricks has listed that set as coming so I assume that that is a store exclusive like the Trash Compactor. I do know that Promobricks didn't/couldn't have any info on Jabbas Palace so the Throne Room rumor must have come from somewhere. It also doesn't have Max Rebo, Salacious or Oola so if you don't have them yet I would probably start looking into them as they will most likely skyrocket even more after the set is revealed. -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

Although I do find it too expensive and don’t see it selling well, the difference between a helmet and the bust (which doesn’t include the hands in the picture above) is pretty significant.
