Is sw585 the best OT stormtrooper available at the moment?

Hi Guys. So I asked my wife to get me a Lego shop voucher for my birthday on the understanding that it had to be a couple of days early to catch the end of the May 4th sale. She missed this deadline so I'm wondering how to best use this voucher. Does the Lego shop have sales on the big UCS Star Wars sets at any other time of year or is it just May 4th? Thanks

Picked up an Ewok Village since it's 10% off at the moment. I guess it will be retiring soon so wanted to pick it up before it disappears. Would love the Sandcrawler too but I think my wife would divorce me if she found out I spent £400 on Lego :)

I guess its just minifig collectors paying silly money to get it right away then.

So I'm going to treat myself to a big set during the May 4th sale since its my birthday next week. The Sandcrawler is a little bit rich for me so it's between Ewok Village and Slave I. I guess Ewok Village will be retired soon so is the right pick? Also I've noticed the free polybag is going for £15-20 on eBay. Do we expect that price to hold? If so it's a nice extra discount off the big set :)

Have we had any news yet about which sets will be on sale for May 4th?

Is it worth holding onto the voucher incase Toys R Us have a May 4th sale?

That's a fair point. Do we expect the likes of Jabba's Palace to shoot up any more or is it likely to hover around the current price for a while? The Sandcrawler is hard to justify at that price but I guess the Ewok Village and Slave I aren't that much more than the Palace. Will have to see what May 4th deals pop up.

Thanks for that! I'm definitely interested in Jabba's Palace due to the decent selection of unique and interesting mini-figs. It's very expensive over here though (UK) so will keep a look out on eBay for bargains. I'm not so interested in the battlepacks as I enjoy building rather than collecting mini-figs. If I see them at a decent discount though I'll pick them up.

Hi Guys I've only just starting collecting some OT Lego Star Wars sets this year and now own the following: 75055 - Imperial Star Destroyer 75093 - Death Star Final Duel 75020 - Jabba's Sailbarge 9496 - Desert Skiff 75094 - Imperial Shuttle Tydirium 75137 - Carbon Freezing Chamber 75136 - Droid Escape Pod 75003 - A-Wing 75050 - B-Wing 75081 - T-16 Skyhopper 75052 - Mos Eisley Cantina 75059 - Snowspeeder I'm now running a bit low on display space (and the cash that the wife will let me spend!) so need to start becoming a bit more selective. Which of the remaining OT sets do you think should be the priority to pick up next?

You could pick up the skyhopper for tantooine. The escape Pod belongs there too.

Tesco direct selling the death star final duel for £45 today, an excellent price if you want it. Can probably split the mini-figures and sell on eBay for a decent profit.

It isn't stealing. Once issuing the replacements Amazon state there's no need to return the others if they arrive. Think I'll have to sell the Carbon Freezing Chamber minifigs separately on eBay. I saw the Boba Fett figure go for £10 the other day which seems mad.

The shuttle is quite a bit cheaper than the star destroyer though. I just picked it up for £58 and at that price it's great value.

Amazon never delivered my order so I complained and they sent out a replacement. On the next day I received both orders and now have two of each for £30 total! :) Just need to figure out the best way to sell them on eBay now, it looks like selling the mini-figures separately is the way to go. Also just picked up the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium for £58 from Flubit. Can't wait to build that.

The stock shortage over Christmas didn't help. Now stock levels are returning to normal a few sales have popped up. Amazon UK have a few sets on 20% discount at the moment.

For the final duel I used very.co.uk's £30 off a £60 spend voucher. The other two used the £10 off a £50 spend at Amazon the other day.

How did you manage the b-wing for £35? It seems to be over £50 everywhere I look now that it's been retired.

£30 for Vader's Tie? Surely it must be microfighter size at that price?
