Hello All In the Pirate forum I have been slowly posting a blog looking at each sets ever created for the pirate theme. Now I have decided to do the same for Castle and no compreshensive review is complete without an overview of the entire collection from start to finish. Wow Lots of feedback thanks guys. I will respond in order of messages i have now changed the title of my page, when I first created the blog I doubte anyone would read it hence my lazy title, now it should look more professional My dissertation was on Site Specfic Theatre and the reason for it popularity in england over the past decade (off topic I know but thanks for asking ) Sorry about the China problem I have got hits from their though so I suggest you keep trying (only if you want to though ) i am adding the deatil about the cannon Right now, hope you approve the change. With the raft though I still feel that it is the weakest of the line and least value for money hence my harshness, I will try to make that a bit clearer (i still like it though and own two so I guess Im a but hipocrital) I am planning on creating the same thing for the castle theme on this very blog so keep checking, i am just moving house at the mo and have not had the most amount of time thanks again all arrrg

Thats a good point, I will change that over the coming days, I am sorry it has taken me ages to reply, I have just had to finish my dissertation and these last few days have been crazy Figureheads especially need a mention. cheers

Hello Again All fellow Lego Fanatics If anyone is still interested then I have completed the final wave of my pirate blogs, this blog looks at the new pirates from 2009 and 2010. I think I have included everything but if its missing anything please tell me. Enjoy Lego Pirates Wave 5 2009-2010 If anyone has not read my previous blogs I will include a list of them below Lego Pirate Wave 4 1996-1997 Lego Pirate Wave 3 1994-1995 Lego Pirate Wave 2 1992-1993 Lego Pirate Wave 1 1989-1991 An Overview of the Waves Feedback would be great After this I am going to start looking at the old castle years. I will probably do pirates of the Carribean later in the year (when I get a chance to buy most of the sets ) To any of the people with the power, is it possible if this link could go in the master index (maybe under articles) as I think it's quite a comprehensive read and could be of some worth.

Thanks Captain Roger personaly though I liked the small spanish sets, sure they only had two little sets but both are very nice and I love the ship as its looks very good and different from what came before, I liked the innovation. Overall I didn't like the pirate sets as I felt they offered very little to the theme overall. but I did love the figures as they add alot to the theme. thanks again for reading it though mate soon to come 2009 and 2010 sets

Thanks for the feedback Dreamweb Do you think I should change them maybe be a bit nicer, as a worry that I have been too harsh with these reviews, I love the Armada stuff from those years but the actual pirate sets are a big let down. I am just not sure where to go with these reviews as I want to be honest about the sets but I feel bad about doing so as I love Lego Pirates a great deal. Its true that my nostalga ends as well when we get into 1996 and 1997, i like the new pirate figs and I like the Armada but thats it. Any advice on what to change would be apreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the comments I am really glad these are being well recieved by everyone, if there is anything that is wrong with any of them though, please everyone let me know, I wanna make these perfect, I worry my 1996 -1997 reviews are too harsh. Hello Again all Some of you might have noticed my posts looking at all the Pirate sets released by Lego well now we have reach the final years of the orignal sets. This post looks at 1996 and 1997. 1996 - 1997 I hope you like it comments would be great.

Bluecoats, because blue is a better colour than red pirates are to violent for my tastes

Thanks about the Uhu name thing, I'll take it off my posts, about the princess thing, I meant that I had two of the same model (one from the enchanted island and one from the Cattaerman boat set) they are the same fig just that i had two of them (like i had about 4 kings for example)

Thanks for the feedback Roger, I'll address the reply in stages . 1993 , thanks for pointing that out, Im an stupid, have now chnaged it. when I say I owned two I meant two Princess (have now made that clearer)I agree with you, Ann was always a killer for my pirates (as is the new girl) Ironhook Thanks for pointing that out, have now included that in the conclusion at the end. Problem with Islanders what you said was soo good, I have now included it as a quote in my conclusion, if thats ok (if not tell me and I will remove it) Skull island When I say skull Island is a repeat, I mean in the way the Skull rolls to the side and the dock being behind it, thats exactly the same for the islander set, my problem with this is that it just happened a year earlier, I still like the set and am not sure which pirate base is my fave because of it (the crane and roof look great), I would have just liked to see something different. About the outpost, you could be right I think I have judged that a little too harshly, will edit that to make it fairer. Thanks for reading and feedback it helped alot

Hello Again. You all might be a little bored of me by now but I have written half of what I call wave 3 this post looks at the sets releasd in 1994. If your interested give it a read, but I will edit it over the next week to also include 1995. (hove now included 1995). Pirate sets from 1994 and 1995 if there is anything I can do to improve the work please tell me. any other comments would be great too Thanks again.

Thanks Captian Rodger You have given me alot to add to my posts, will will go down the list and fix those mistakes the ironhook redbeard conundrum has confused me for a while so thanks for fixing that, could you just explain the Jake the snake blake bit as im not sure what you mean. and your right about the 2009 sets being far poorer in construction than the classics. If you have the pacience and have any more comments please tell me as I would like to make these posts as good as possible. Thanks again

Hello Again All Some of you might have looked at my previous posts well now I have made another one. This time I am looking at the sets from 1992 to 1993, hopefully it will be as interesting as the previous two wave 2 If anyone is has not seen the orignal two then I will include a link here too The sets from 1989 and 1991 wave 1 and an overview of the whole range All the Minifigs Opinions and comments would be great because I want to make these as good as I can. hope you enjoy it thanks

Wow thats cool dreamweb, a link from your blog, could you give me a link to your blog so I can look at it and follow you from mine (if thats possible) Thanks man, I had a slow day yesterday didn't think anyone was interested in this stuff, but you and Dr Steve's comments have given me the insperation to work on 1992 to 1993, (which I have started now) it should be ready in a week or two.

Hello Again, A few days ago I posted a Link to my minifig list, in that list I looked at the minfigs that where released with lego pirates, over the last week instead of writing my disertation I have looked at the sets released in 1989 and 1991. The post is kind of an overview and review of thesets that came, looking at each set indervidually and then analyzing the year as a whole. If its popular I plan on doing more and everntually looking at every set ever realesed. Give it a look and tell me what you think, Pirates Between 1989 and 1991 if there is anyway to improve it please tell me as I want to make it as good as I possibly can Thanks for reading
