  1. What if TLG released a series of battle pack sized sets, six of them, and each one would be based on one movie. The sets would contain the main characters from the movie, so n the TPM set you would get Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin (boy), Jar Jar, Padme, and Darth Maul (I realize we are getting all these minifigs in the summer wave). Now that I think of it the sets may need to be larger than a battle pack, but maybe only the size of a set as big as, say... the Freeco speeder. These sets would come with some sort of vehicle or built thing that goes along with the episode, but that would not be the focus of the sets. They could be like battle packs for main characters. I just thought it might be interesting.
  2. Good catch! I never thought of that when I saw those pics. What I am most excited for in the new MF is the Han Solo. I think they will give him new printing on his torso, back and front. Also, maybe pupils for Chewie!
  3. The AAT could be made bigger by some simple MODing. But I have no interest in getting minis in the first place, because most interested in collecting the minifigs.
  4. Minis are never too expensive.
  5. Out of the two of them, the Venator is better IMO.
  6. Ya, the chances of TLG ever doing more EU stuff is slim. Every time TLG did EU sets they didn't sell well. If TLG were to continue with EU it should be more Force Unleashed. I got the Rogue Shadow, and hoped they would release more, but it never happened. The chances of TLG drawing off of less popular material is practically non-existent. But thats what MOCing is for, right...
  7. I'm sorry, but where is Qui-Gon?
  8. That is true, but Lucas is also re-releasing all six films in theatres in 3D, and I have a feeling that is why we are getting so much TPM stuff, because TPM is the first to get the 3D treatment. AOTC will be next, so...
  9. I've never seen much use for the minis. They are kinda cool, but they have no figs, so I've never bought them, except some of the first ones from 2004 just to see what it was about.
  10. I think that one fig that needs a serious make over (non-CW style) is Dooku. We got him once before in the duel set with Yoda. If they redesigned him, a perfect hairpiece for the character would be the new malfoy hair from HP.
  11. How come you didn't include Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan? I'm pretty sure they will have new printing. I'm most excited for Qui-Gon.
  12. I think the problem with these minis is that the AAT is too skinny and doesn't have a big enough head turret, and the venator is too wide in the middle. They just look kinda silly. I felt that the old mini venator was better.
  13. Those high ranking clones in the premiere episodes of season 3 were ARC troopers, and the helmets were a merge of the phase 1 and 2 helmets, with the main body being phase 2 while the fin at the top is still phase 1 style. I think we could be seeing possibly a new Kasshyyk set, with some of those wookiee warriors, possibly new ones, and some different vehicles, along with a new Yoda. The Yoda could be the same as the original, but just give him a new body print and some eye printing, like the new Jar Jar.
  14. I forgot about that! Too bad that TLG made the battle of Endor set and the Mon Calamari set back in 2009. That really lowers the amount of material they can grab from. Maybe a new Jabba's Palace with a Rancor!
  15. And I've noticed that the chances of AOTC remakes and new sets has got higher, because if TLG is doing all of these TPM sets in 2011, come 2012 there may be waves more dedicated to AOTC, and 2013 would be ROTS. We can only be hopeful.
  16. I've always thought that TLG needs to return to some of the Attack of the Clones stuff. For example, they could make the arena battle scene, with the Reek, Nexu, and Acklay, along with a bunch of Jedi and Droids. Only instead of doing one big expensive set, they could release four smaller sets that, when attached together, make the full arena scene. So in each section the bulk of the set would be the spectator stands, and then you would get some pillars for the prisoners or something, and in each set you would get different characters. In section one, you could get one pillar, Anakin, the Reek, a bunch of droids (done in that cool sand red colour from back in the original Geonosian fighter) some SBDs, and then some Jedi. Each section would feature different key characters, and the whole spin on it is to collect all the sets to make the scene. I think that would be awesome.
  17. If only TLG would release that tan AAT as a full set with minifigs, instead of just a mini. Minis are nice, but a tan AAT is a remake we need.
  18. Are these new minis, because I have not seen them before. They are very nice, none the less. EDIT: Also, I started a topic yesterday asking people which minifig they considered to be the worst of the new January line up, not including battle droids or minifigs that we had seen before (Anakin, Obi-Wan), but KimT closed it and said to move it here. I know this isn't much of a topic, but I thought it would be interesting to get peoples thoughts.
  19. And when you look back, we have not got too many remakes. The only set that has been remade too much is the X-Wing.
  20. How do I get a picture for my name, like the pic that appears next to every post?
  21. Eeth Koth is a Jedi master on the Jedi Council during the time of Episode 1 to the clone wars. He was originally going to be in Attack of the Clones, but they had a different actor for Episode 2, and the appearance was too different so the character of Agen Kolar ws born. Eeth was said to have been killed while on a gunship in the first battle of Geonosis, but Dave Filoni wanted to use him in an episode of the CW series (Grievous Intrigue) he was brought back to life. Also, the Rodian in the podrace set is Anakin's friend Wald, not Greedo. I am sincerely sorry about how off topic this is but I had to help out with this. EDIT: Vos is the Jedi who was in the Nall Hutta episode, originally to be put in the Jedi Shuttle but now in the Republic Frigate.
  22. It would be perfect if TLG would release new droidekas in a battle pack. A nice cheap way of getting them, if they do make them.
  23. Feel, don't think. Use your instincts.

  24. I feel that the droideka from 2007 was good, but just too big. a droideka is not supposed to be taler than a human! If only LEGO could come up with a way to keep the same basic design, only smaller.
  25. Thanks a lot.
