I think the possibility of some new Toydaria related sets is high, because the Toydarians seem to be a returning group of characters with a plot that is still expanding. TLG is likely to make sets based on more popular characters (then again they did make Nadhar Vebb, and he was in one episode and died, so...).

Some how what I said got stuck in the quote! sorry General Magma.
-
No, it just is funny that TLG decided to fill the cover with duplicates instead of all completely different figs. It isn't bad, just funny.
-
Battle Droids are not really true minifigs. They do not consist of the regular minifig parts. So in the Battle of Naboo set we really only got two true minifigs and 8 droids. And the MTT from 2007 had 21 droids because there were no true minifigs.

There are no new figs on the front of this book, but I am positive that I see two CW Mace Windus. One under the title, with his head obscured, and one on the right corner. Funny. EDIT: there are THREE Maces! and two clone pilots and two Aayla Securas. This cover is covered with duplicates!

I think the reason we got 12 minifigs in the Battle of Endor was because it was a special edition. I doubt the would put that many minifigs in just any other Star Wars set. EDIT: Just remembered an idea for a ROTS set I had a while ago. The ship that Padme takes to Mustafar to find Anakin. Minifigs could be Padme (pregnant, either printed or a special piece), Anakin (Ep. 3, yellowish eyes because he is evil, and new printing on front and back of torso and possibly legs) Obi-Wan (Ep. 3, same amount of printing detail as Anakin) and C-3P0. Inside of ship could be done as a recreation of the scene where Padme gives birth to Luke and Leia (two specially printed microfigs, like the guys that come with the board games) plus a buildable birthing droid. Some sort of table with a function to make it seem like Padme is giving birth (maybe a bit too inappropriate for kids, and the whole inside could be done similarly to the 'Theta', only the outside is like her ship. Just an idea...

Thanks a lot!

What Hero Factory set does that trans blue 4L bar? I'm might just need to get it for that piece. It's just too awesome!

You have the one of the books that was produced after Luke was given pupils. I have the book fig, and he has no pupils.
-
Ya, but that takes the whole 'fan' part out of it. It would pretty much just be a cockpit with some landing gear. They have made sails for ships before, so why not fanblades on Ventress's ship.
-
Neat idea. The pod hunter is a ship I feel we should have already gotten. It is a really cool ship, but if they ever did release, I think it should come with new commando droids, like the ones we saw in the episode Rookies. Those droids are pretty awesome. As BPs go, we are in need of Endor BPs, but we better only get two scouts in the Imperial one if we get it. That leaves room for two plain stormies. The Rebel BP just as to have some more Endor Rebel troops (which it will have to) and everyone will be happy.

This new book looks very interesting. The exclusive minifig could be anyone. I think it would be more likely to not get a ceremony fig, seeing as this book has nothing to do with the celebration of ten years of LEGO Star Wars. This book, I think, should come with a character we have not seen before ever, like a Queen Amidala or... maybe a Ponda Baba! (he is the Aqualish from ep. 4 that doesn't like Luke, just so you know)

Ya, the piece itself is fine. I've just always thought it would be cool if TLG could separate into two parts: mask and helmet. But I have no idea how that would work.

Iktotchi is Saesee Tinn's species and Rattataki is Asajj Ventress's species. Just so you know...

Agreed. I also hope Vader has some pupils. The last time I got Vader was in his 2009 TIE Fighter set (I think it was the last time he appeared) and for some reason the face print was the same as the 2005 Vader, with no eyebrows. It really bothered me because I knew the new face print had eyebrows. Now I hope he will have eyebrows and pupils. Hopefully chewie will have printed eyes too. EDIT: sorry about the rant.

You asked for some thoughts on your ideas. I really like the idea of the Slave 1 and Obi-Wan's Jedi starfighter. Two sets we really need redone. The Hoth Echo Base sounds interesting, but that seems like a lot of figs for that price (I know we got the Endor set with 12 figs, but that was a special set) and some of the figs you mentioned are not well known characters to kids, so I doubt that this set would realisticly be released. Also, with the past release of a lot of Hoth stuff, something like this seems rare, but who knows. There is that new rumour of another Hoth set. But we deffinitely need a new Jango set.

Which is your favourite upcoming Lego minifigure in 2011?

My vote is stuck in a three way tie between Saesee Tiin, Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul. Hmmmm... I'll go with Maul. He's just too damn awesome, and I think his new version will be the highlight fig of 2011. -
We are already getting a couple of new sets in the summer 2011 wave that basically include the main characters you mentioned. We are getting one set that has Ventress from season three, and we are getting the frigate ship that takes Yoda to the surface of Rugossa, and that set has Yoda and a couple of yet-to-be-determined clones, along with some other Jedi. Since we are getting these sets, I doubt that an actual Rugossa set would come out. But it is a good idea. I think it would be great if we could get a King Katuunko and maybe some of his Toydarian guards. Possibly the Toydarian ship briefly seen in that episode could be a set...

I think it is disappointing that, by the looks of the prelims, the probe droids in the Sith Infiltrator are the same as the first set. Just a black head with one of those steering bars (not sure what the official name of that piece is) on top. I hope that they will change by the time of the finished product. These probes are in need of some serious sprucing up.
-
Well if we are sticking to only the canon characters, than no there is no use for it, but what about the people who like to make their own Jedi that are not part of the story originally? That is all I was pointing at. EDIT: Sorry, this is getting off topic. The only reason I would buy re-released podracer minis is if they did come with orange blades so I could make some different Jedi.
-
Well yes, but orange is more rare IMO. Orange blades give more possibilities for custom Jedi. Anyway, this is beginning to get off-topic.
-
I hope that if we get a new CW Anakin TLG will make a completely new hairpiece. It would be too bad if they just reused an old piece or just kept the hair the same. Also, maybe back printing on Anakin, Asajj and Savage. We can only hope.
-
If they ever did re-release the old mini sets (which I seriously doubt will happen) and the change them, I hope that they would keep the podracer's energy beam the same. I never got the original but I'm pretty sure they used orange lightsaber blades. Those would be really useful to make more jedi. But as I said, I don't believe TLG would re-release these minis. They are more likely to do more minis based on vehicles seen in the CW series, due to the fact that that is what the majority of kids would be fans of these days, and would recognize those vehicles best. Its really too bad. But again, with the release of the movies in 3D there is a chance of revamped minis.

Understood. -
By the looks of it so far, I doubt we are getting a new CW Obi or Ahsoka, unless they are released in some sort of spring exclusive, but it would be better for a spring exclusive to be OT and not CW. As much as we need a revamped CW Obi and Ahsoka, I doubt we will get it this year.
