Anything with Davy Jones, and maybe his heart (I've got a jar of dirt!)
-
Then again, they have kept the phase 2's the same for some time (even if their CW fig debut is yet to come), so they may just reuse the old piece and give it new printing. That would be best. Also, there are some great things from AOTC that aren't vehicles that could become playsets (Geonosis Arena anyone?)
-
I think the use of both would be a good idea. Use the old Maul when you want him with a hood, and the new Maul for without. Although, the fig may just seem completely un-appealing to you. Hmmmm... here is a thought! Imagine if they made a new hood mould to be compatible with the horns. Maybe, but unlikely. And also, if they had done that it would be on the fig, so scratch that idea.

If I am correct, there was some EU stuff that had Maul (post death) as a cyborg. Maybe Lucas and those working on the show will play on this idea. It wouldn't be the first time that they pulled stuff from EU to put into the show (Quinlan Vos, Republic Commandos). Also, I do not believe that Maul will be a spirit. He just doesn't seem like the kind of character to be that in tune with the living Force. Also, perhaps the Nightsisters had something to do with him being alive. Who knows, but this is getting off topic, so...

I feel we need a year dedicated to AOTC more than ROTS. It was the one movie they spent the least amount of time on, but it had some fantastic scenes.

No, I don't mean Savage. Go to starwars.com and look at the episode guide for Witches of the Mist. Then go to the bottom of the guide, and read what it says, and click the link. It takes you to Maul's databank page. It is him.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Fives replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Gladiator VS. Spartan will be amazing! Also dwarf and elf combo will look great. Now we just need an updated Orc, and possibly a human knight (sounds like LOTR ) -
I must say, after taking a closer look at Darth Maul's new speeder bike, it looks HORRIBLE! (also, on a side note, according to the most recent episode of the CW, Darth Maul is still alive in the Outer Rim? HOW!?)
-
I was taking a look at your list, and it is very good indeed, but it encompasses too much of the Tolkien world. The majority of the population will be familiar with the Peter Jackson films (the three LOTR and The Hobbit). No offense, but I believe that if LEGO ever got the license, then my list seems more realistic. But, LEGO's main target market is young children. LOTR is not very child friendly, due to the scary content. But, if the new Hobbit movie is not as scary for younger viewers (but I doubt it will be) then LEGO could jump at the chance and get the license for the Hobbit. If LEGO did this, they could release some sets based on LOTR before they release the Hobbit sets (similar to what they did with the Indiana Jones theme). Although, I doubt LEGO would ever do this. But we can always hope...

Awesome. Thanks

Where the heck is Davy Jones in these new sets! -
Would Facebook work?

Hey, I'm interested in sharing my collection, but I've never put a picture on here before, so how do I do it?
-
When is the New York Toy Fair supposed to happen? We are in desperate need of more pics of the new summer sets.
-
Most likely the new Clone Battle Pack. I personally don't have it, but from what I have seen it looks great, and it is under $20
-
I'm sure the swamp speeder is based on ROTS. I rewatched the movie after the set was released, and the speeder was on Felucia with Aayla Secura. But, according to comics and the novelization, Barriss Offee was on Felucia also. As for the ARC-170, we have now seen it in TCW series, but the figs are based on ROTS, specifically Captain Jag, so it should be considered ROTS.

I just curious, where are the new sets in Ontario? I've been searching for weeks now, and found only three sets, the Jedi Shuttle, Bounty Hunter ship and Mandalorian Pack. Any ideas why they aren't out in Toys R Us stores? EDIT: I found the three sets mentioned at other stores than Toys R Us.

Hey, I've haven't posted much in a while, but I have compiled a rather long list of some good possible ideas for sets based on the six films. So, here we go: Jabba's Palace (Ep. 6) Minifigs: Luke (jedi knight), Leia (slave outfit), Leia (Boussh disguise), Lando (guard disguise), Gammorean gueard (new printing on old piece), Bib Fortuna (new printing, fleshie colour skin), Han in carbonite. All figs will be printed with max. detail. Creatures: Jabba (same old piece, with new dark green colour, fleshie belly and face print, and pupils), Rancor (new pieces, built like a Castle theme dragon) Set: includes throne room, with wall placement for the carbonite Han, trapdoor to Rancor pit, and moving bed for Jabba. Similar look to the old set, only much bigger and more detailed, with dungeon under neath. Rancor pit/dungeon and throne room can be put one on top of the other or separated for max. playability. Prison cell attached to dungeon. Cost: $159.99-$174.99 CAD Bespin Duel/Escape from Cloud City (Ep. 5) Minifigs: Luke (Bespin outfit, trans blue blade, not light trans blue), Darth Vader, Lando (Bespin outfit), Leia (prisoner outfit), Chewie, Imp. Officer. Max detail. Set: includes Carbon Freezing chamber, window room, and long catwalk for the duel, and a windowed hallway attached to a small landing platform. The catch of the set is to combine it with the new Slave I to complete the scene. Lots of details. Cost: $129.99-$139.99 CAD Lar's Homestead (Ep. 4) Minifigs: Luke (farmboy), Owen Lars, Beru Lars, Threepio and R2. Max details. Set: includes main home with round roof, inside is a small kitchen counter and dinner table with some kitchen ware. Also a moisture vaporator and maybe a new gonk droid (possibly brickbuilt?) Cost: $34.99-$49.99 CAD Tusken Camp (Ep. 2) Minifigs: Anakin ( padawan), Tusken Raider x4 (completely new fig) Max detail. Set: Two tusken huts and a small fire place. Cost: $24.99-$39.99 CAD Kasshyyk Battle Packs (Ep. 3) Good: one kasshyyk trooper, one airborne trooper, two wookiee warriors. max detail. BARC speeder (better design) small wookiee catapult Evil: battle droid x4, SBD x2, dwarf spider droid, turret. Cost: $14.99 CAD each. Arrival on Mustafar (Ep. 3) Minifigs: Padme (pregnant), Anakin ( double sided head, one side good and one side evil, new hairpiece), Obi-Wan, Threepio, two microfigs printed as baby Luke and Leia. max detail. Set: includes the ship that Padme took to Mustafar. Function inside ship similar to the inside of the Theta shuttle. Function is to make Padme give birth to the twins. Cost: $64.99-$79.99 CAD I have a couple more ideas, but this post is getting to be very long, so they can wait. Anyways, tell me what you think.

I'm pretty positive that the theme is done. It was put on hiatus in 2010 to make way for PoP, but since we are getting PotC (and we don't knw how long it will run) I don't see Indy coming back for a long time, if at all. Pretty sad, really it was one of my favorite themes, and I collected every set released. I only with they had made the tank from The Last Crusade. If that had been made, then the theme would be complete.

Nice! that looks great! I love how you used the wings from the ewok glider. Great work!
-
I think LEGO has always needed to make a Lord of the Rings theme. I know that LOTR is not very popular with most kids, but with the new Hobbit movie coming out, they could do some stuff from LOTR also, if they got a license. Just imagine all the new parts....
-
They will most likely make a new helmet that will work with the already existing clone armour, so the helmet probably won't cover the top of the chest print like in the past. I think the helmet will be able to be turned around the head 360 degrees without interference and be capable to equip the visors and stuff. Hmmmm.... that sounds awesome!
-
I could imagine a smaller set with just the prison tower and the kwazel-maw (boogey monster) and for figs Padme, Jar Jar and maybe a droideka with some plain B1 droids. Then this set could be put along side the separatist shuttle and make the whole scene. Oh, and maybe include commander Gree!

Is there any way that I can vote on all the things in the last part for New Saber Parts I want more than one!
