  1. Lego Friends surprises me, they always seem to be shelf warmers!
  2. What??? What has religion got to do with it!?! Whilst I am a DC fan mostly – I am a comic book first of all, and there are Marvel characters I love – Spidey, Hulk (proper Hulk, not the MCU disaster) and Punisher... but I also love Judge Dredd (one of my all time favourite comic book characters), Hellboy, Jack Staff, Billy the Cat etc. etc. For me, collecting the DC stuff mainly means collecting the minifigures, so the more the better for me (loved the recent CMF series)
  3. Have to agree – has anybody got actual figures of sales of certain lines? From my experience in the UK, I see Marvel sets collecting dust on the shelves, and they seem to go to sale quicker than DC sets, so should I assume Marvel doesnt' sell? Truth is, Marvel's success has made them popular – but apart from Spidey, the Hulk and from the 80's on X-Men, the Marvel brand hasn't been massive globally before the MCU - DC has always been the more popular and successful brand. We are currently going through Marvel's golden period - but if the movies fall out of favour - which they will, then trends will change – Batman will always be a big seller in whatever format - he transcends his genre. As for sales – if DC/Batman sales are down, i'd personally put that down to the choice of sets, rather than the characters themselves... the DC sets (like the City theme) have been regurgitating variations of the same old sets – how many Batmobiles or Batman v Villain helicopter sets can we have? The after sale values of minifigures show the interest is definitely there, but they need to come up with something new... for example, Batman's 80th anniversary should have seen sets based on different versions of Batman – we got the UCS Batmobile with Keaton's Batman – but there should have been an affordable version of this Batman - or a set from that movie at least, Maybe a Superpowers style Batman and Robin with that version of the Batmobile (in Blue) to give us something different. If sets based on other characters feel they need Batman, how about Blue Beetle and Booster Gold, possibly Guy Gardner along with Batman from the Maguire run on JL, complete with Blue Beetle's Bug ship.
  4. I suggested the same on an Instagram thread when they came out... would be great so I could make a MOC Comic Shop
  5. As a Batman fan I don't agree... I would say he's my personal favourite Batman so far - it's one they should have done ages ago... and to be honest Batman is still the no. 1 superhero character worldwide so no surprise on his popluarity... but I feel the same about Iron Man figures! Also, as a fan of Batman and the Outsiders comic, Metamorpho was one of my most wanted, so really happy to get him. My least favourites are Bumblebee and, surprisingly, Joker... think its the hairpiece, they could have used a better piece and don't like the jacket print going so far down his leg.
  6. Managed to pop into the Lego Store today - picked a few up, and have to say i'm very impressed with them and I really like the new clear 'action' piece... Flash, Batman and Metamorpho are brilliant... didn't spend too long feeling the packets - a staff member gave me a packaged Batman which had been put to one side as they said that the Batman had proven to be the most elusive figure.
  7. UK Collectors – anybody found them anywhere but the Lego Store yet?
  8. I'd love to see lego produce a neon green/yellow... highlighter pen yellow... coloured bricks - specifically minifigure torsos, for hi-viz jackets, be useful for Police officers, construction etc. etc., also useful for emergency vehicles.
  9. English and British Bulldog are the same thing... the Kennel Club just call them Bulldogs! Also, glad to say I once met the British Bulldog - Davey Boy Smith in Woolworths, Chester
  10. Thanks for that, helped me find some images
  11. Obviously - I've seen who the first four leaked were! haha
  12. Why can't I find anything about the CMF series!?!
  13. I want unlicensed and unthemed series too... however as a big DC fan, a DC set is one I will buy completely instead of a handful of an unthemed series.
  14. Thanks - i've checked out quite a few places available over here in the UK... some look really good, but not as good as Lego... not sure what process they use for printing, but would like to get a decent job done.
  15. Hi guys, late to this thread (and apologies if already asked/covered), but who does the best custom Pad Printing out there... UK preferably? cheers
  16. I've had a PDF invoice sent through and even an email asking for my feedback after my recent purchase.... I'd just like my purchase first of all... it was the 23rd by the way!
  17. I placed an order last month via Bricks & Pieces and still not received it... is this normal at the moment? I usually get orders pretty quick!
  18. A school would be a great addition to the City theme. A Supermarket is overdue, and a new post office. I'd also love to see a zoo, or safari park theme. Just posted i'd love to see a zoo, then saw that it's already fully discussed! Doh! Love your thinking on the enclosures - also makes it very easy to make as individual sets that combine to make a big zoo set as a whole.
  19. Aquaman... great movie, really enjoyed it... off to see the Lego Movie 2 this week.
  20. My son really likes the look of the App/Game (he's a big Pokémon fan), but wondered how long the playability of the game is, i.e. once you've caught all the ghosts in each set is that it? From my point of view, I really like the look of the two kids - the hoody with cap and the woolly hat hair combos will look good on Town residents, be nice if they had the mid-size legs as they look like they're supposed to be teenagers.
  21. Argos have had the figures since at least Monday (28th Jan), Sainsburys and B&M have them in too that I know of. Got Emmet, Rex, President Business, Watermelon Guy, Benny, Scarecrow and Swamp Monster so far... the first five I felt for and correctly got them.
  22. Teen Titans Go! is a popular cartoon, so I think a Titans Tower would sell... even if it's based on the comics and not that particular cartoon.
  23. Looking forward to seeing the Figure theme park set – would've liked to see maybe a sports fan set, supporters etc.
  24. The sets seem like they are nothing new from titles alone – would be nice to see some new characters produced, and something different from the sets... seeing how they're celebrating Batman's 80th birthday, maybe the sets could feature designs from various periods in his 80yr history – the original Batmobile (comic version) perhaps chasing a Jokermobile... Batman Animated series style Mr Freeze, Dick Sprang inspired Riddler set etc.
  25. Thanks - was hoping for a scared/shocked expression too, but no worries
