Are there any pictures on how the new falcons look besides the old ones? And pictures of the new falcon torso with plain black pants?
-
Thanks but No worries will buy it on Ebay or ask someone help so It can be ordered from Lego, as they dont send to PO boxes and I live in Guatemala. I am happy the set is selling so well. I was afraid of the contrary(for the price tag) and that Lego could get the wrong message.

I should have followed the same course. Everyone that has received enjoy it, share pics and thoughts.

Good for the we will get the set "eventually" part. First day too also trying to buy it but it is out of stock. I certainly seen that tendency. From what I been looking on internet, seems the set selled very very well.

Lego 90 year set voting split and throughts
Niku replied to durazno33's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Woah didnt knew of that issue, I hope that TLG can help you solve that. I am like you, I had a few of the Fantasy Era (dont like much the skellies, other factions are cool) and Kingdoms was on my tack back into Lego. Yes I wonder how the voting will go. I would like this scenario, that TLG produces the winner set of course, and maybe the other 3 themes could make a mashup to a 3 in 1 Creator type set. That would be my wish. -
Thank you very much Evancelt. I find the skies in paints very interesting.

Lego 90 year set voting split and throughts
Niku replied to durazno33's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Good news for Castle. Yes! Let this be the time when we draw swords together. Yesterday I was chatting with my dad and he couldnt send a picture in his phone, he finally did it correctly. But made me wonder that many of the core Castle guys are a bit older than the Bionicle guys, therefore could be a gap between the access to the site and voting on it. Dont know. just to add something that made me overthink a little bit about the votes and the union of the Castle themes when there is also a gap of years in the themes. -
General Winter disagrees. I am planning and building more mocs related. In any case. Vive l'Empereur.

I like all the perceived movement it really brings the build to life. Thanks for sharing.

Actually animals are very important in a medieval setting, for example just lets take a look at the build on the frontpage, it wouldnt be the same without the animals, even if the main focus is the tower. Animals alone open some very good posibilities for building, as for another example I remember the time I had to decide(I am still not a millionaire haha, I have a budget) either to get the Medieval Mill Raid (goats, horse, chickens) or Prince of Persia Alamut Palace and race (camel, ostrich) and got the later. I can build now on a eastern environment and add some wildlife as complement to the build but unfortunately lacking on the other important animals department. Just to be clear. I like the set very much and has grown on me over time,my criticism could tell otherwise but I do like the set, and will buy it. I just wish Lego would had spent all the powder on here.

I would like to know how Lego calculates their price/piece because that is key, on my percepction, that probably is incorrect, I dont see how a pair of horses(they dont use a new mold, just another color, yes there are colors more expensive than others), or maybe a pair of chickens are prohibitive for this set. Well at this stage I would have taken two equal tan horses. Just give us more Lego. Animals are always a big, big draw to a set, even if they are small or reprints. Is the same of the perceived value, for $50 more you get the PoBB far more superior set. I could bet if I give $200 for people to spend for a present: a father, a mother, casual buyer would prefer the ship rather than the blacksmith and the $50. And in the end, the themes are not on the same level competing and the results may give a false impression of performance to the company that castle(even as popular) may not sell so well as a PoBB that is a success. Just like on their fan vote, there are so many castle themes that are spread thin. Oh well, lets cross fingers and hope for the best.

I made this Bonsai to participate on the Brickset contest for making a Bonsai, I dont own the actual set, yet was really happy for the review I saw there and the variations and wanted to bring something of my own. I hope you like it. I am pleased with the final construction. Making this vase was a challenge and enjoy it very much. I used the glass of wine as primary element as it is often used on real life as a vase for flowers also has the right color, and because is an interesting piece to use. There is a certain pattern can be used to build something circular. There are two rings on the build, the inner one is composed of also some glass of wine on an uneveness pattern, combined with studs 1x1 and the extern ring has also another uneven pattern to support the build. I hope you like this build. I had fun building it. Thanks for watching. Bonsai1 by Arfelan Nest, en Flickr FlowerVase2 by Arfelan Nest, en Flickr

Yes, you are correct and I understand that from the start. I just wish Lego would have gave us maybe another horse on dark orange or nougat, or some chickens, or some wolfpack anything else of that WOW factor that would make from wanting this set to OMG I cant wait to get my hands on multiple of them. I know the tree could have been smaller if that meant another horse. Thanks for your deep analysis and toughts is always good to read them. Ps. I always have thinked that criticism is necessary to grow and improve so all this dialogue on this topic is good imo, of course there are ways to do that criticism.

I know, the odds are unlike to happen, well I do hope the set is great, I have a great illusion on it, given how nice work they make on the 3 in 1 ship. I think all we have left as Castle followers is to be grateful for having some good sets this year. The horse is fantastic and a well waited color variety for many persons. Ps the nostalgia voting is a good idea and hoping castle can get at least a participant on the final round.

Ouch on the confirmed price , I dont like it at all, I do like the set and the designers passion and the overall construction, details plus features, but watching the video makes me feel more strange than before, I will buy it, eventually, but feel like its priced as a licensed set (SW), with the size/piece count respect MMV or KJ they had like 1500 pieces as average, and cost well, less and gave us more animals, minifigures and decent detail. I really cant understand how only 4 figs, a horse and dog, I mean they did a good job on recoloring the horse and print two new falcon torsos but for its price not so happy and dont want to make a negativity towards a very pretty set and more importantly after so many years without castle yet the price I feel unfair somehow(I had to take it out). Probably will cost like $200-$230 in Guatemala.

Yes probably it will be brickbuilt altought a molded sheep(or any new animal) would be awesome.
