I've been seeing a lot of people in the Lego community hoping and praying that this isn't a throwback collection, and is just a "regular" CMF collection instead. I think the reasonings behind this are: people not wanting to spend $$$ collecting and nostalgia might spur them to do so, these CMFs might not be great customs for them, they just plain do not like the older figs especially ones like Ninjago and Bioncle, they don't want the CMFs to "change" and want them to remain static (which is why many don't like licensed sets either)... If I'm missing anything, please, let me know.

Thanks, and yeah, it's true. Believe me, I hang out in movie, TV, other toyline circles, and leakers are either misinformed, purposefully get fed wrong info, or just like to troll, even the most reliable ones have their off days.

Leakers are totally never, ever wrong or lying... Given how things go on the internet, not sure why everyone is taking a leaker's word as gospel. Ever.

Excellent watches. Love Zoids: NC and SK8 especially. Which of these did you enjoy the most?

That's excellent news! Really, I thought it was weird to have only two throwback characters in one CMF, and nothing more.

Have not seen it yet. My Targets (where I usually buy them) only have a rare occasional s27, some Spider-verse, and a ton of F1s still.

It's usually more concrete and it's deemed reliable by this time. We'd have known for sure what all three themes entailed.

How come we're not getting any concrete news this year? Usually we know what the three CMF themes will be by now.

I remember it being announced in 2011, then it launched in 2012.

This is, more or less, the point I was trying to make. It's just strange to include Ninjago and Bionicle so randomly into a CMF collection like this, aside from a theme wherein they're all nostalgia/throwback/fan service characters and figures. Especially Ninjago for the reasons you outline. I'm not opposed to it, per say, for the record. I just think it's an odd choice in what's supposed to be a regular CMF series.

It's so weird that they're going to include two "Legacy" characters...but that's it, and all the others are going to be the usual suspects. Is it really certain that we're not getting any other Legacy mini figures? Or is there a chance this set is actually "themed" after all?

I doubt it. I think these will be a one time deal for their respective anniversaries. Sigh.

Oh... If that's true, meh. I enjoyed the first D&D, but not sure if I want more.

I'm surprised we still haven't gotten any news on the late 2026 release. Usually all three of them are found out at around the same time.

I think the current line-up for 2026 is... Animal Costumes for Jan, Series 28 (er, 29?) for May, and ??? for September/October. Am I correct here?

I'm glad. It'd be so disappointing if they just didn't do any CMFs for later this year.

For me, it depends on what colors they use. Though I probably wouldn't try to "complete the set".

Something like that would be epic, and I'm sure would sell. Same with that idea from a year or two from here where they do a CMF set based off minifigures from popular past themes like Ninjago, City, Castle, Elves, etc. Maybe they could throw in some weird, random wildcard stuff like something from Lego Movie or Star Wars or other licensed themes. Just a big celebration of what minifigures are and represent.

I never doubted it. It seemed obvious that F1 was going to be the May 2025 "CMF". Like Black Falcon, I wonder why they didn't just do it alongside a more proper CMF set, but alas. I still feel like I'd prefer four CMFs a year, given how popular they've begun AND situations like this where it seems like Lego wants to do more promotional stuff. Anyway. I wonder what we're getting next year...
