You can always make one of you stepping on Hinckley's sigfig... ;-) thank you! I'm glad you like Chance, I wasn't so sure about him for a little bit. Speaking of lively, chance is probably the livliest of the ones I've made, hence him landing on a perch. During flight shows, he likes to fly up to random trees rather than his perch. Also, whenever he flies over the audience, we always have to warn "Low flight!" so people don't have a heart attack when he brushes over their heads! Whoops, our posts crossed. *sing* Thanks for the comment. Is it all right if I post your ML moc in here, so we can start up a bigger group of ML figures?

I feel like Hinckley right now. I meant to say that I want to be in the Mystery. I just checked and my post didn't look like it. Sorry to look pushy! :-$

I'd like to try this. This sounds great!

Stage Coach Ambush: Wild West MOC by Sir Nadroj
Corvus replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Ah, here it is! And it looks great! I only have one complaint- the rear looks a bit weird. Stagecoaches usually had a flat tray in the back to put larger luggage, such as trunks, on. I don't have a picture of the rear, but here you can see some of it: -
hinckley, your brewery! Oh... My... Gawd! It's amazing! (How will I decide between Alex and you!? :'-( ) I really need to show this to my dad. He's, well, crazy about beer. He has a food science major, was a brewmaster in the Olympia Brewery for 23 years, made wine at our vineyard before we sold it ( :'-( ) and is currently the Brewmaster for the Deschutes brewery in Bend. Maybe I should send you some pictures of the brewing equipment so you can expand. I especially love the bottling section. It looks just like a brewery, albeit simplified slightly to fit. Now all you need is a pub to go next door! 8-

I was browsing EB today and I came upon SirNadroj's miniland version of himself. That inspired me to make one of myself, doing what I love most; working with Raptors, or Birds of Prey. The birds I am with are 1) Hera , a Raven, sitting on my hand, 2) Slim Pickens, a Turkey Vulture, on a perch to the left, and Chance, a Harris Hawk, land on a perch. Front: side: Me: Slim. in the wild, he was feeding on roadkill, and a truck blew by him. He was caught up in the wake and his wings are broken. I know people think of vultures as ugly, but we (at the High Desert Museum) think he's cute. *wub* Chance. I struggled with this. To me he doesn't look like a Harris Hawk, but otherwise I like it. Hera. I love Hera. She was found in someone's backyard, and we later found out she was blind! X-O It just goes to show how intelligent ravens are, because no other bird would survive being blind. Now, we don't have this bird at the museum, but I, caught up in a building frenzy, built it anyway. I present: the majestic Harpy Eagle!! I think this MOC turned out *wub* I don't have as many picures as I want, because I was forced to use mocpages because BL is down. |-/ Now, a size comparison. In real life, a Harpy would pobably be a bit bigger in the comparison I have. They weigh twenty pounds (twice as big as a Bald or Golden Eagle!) and is equipped with five inch talons, which are the same size as a grizzly bear's claw. Anyway, to show how formidable they are: HEEEEEEELP!!!! So, what do you think? Comments are apreciated! After doing this, I want to challenge you to build a miniland version of yourself, doing what you love (yes, you can build yourself building lego) and put it here! This isn't a contest, just having fun. Is anyone interested?

The "Broken Spoke" Gold Mine: A Wild West MOC
Corvus replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
How 'bout a scene? A stagecoach ambush would be intesting, robbers hiding behind the rocks... -
Ah, sounds fun. Bring beer, everyone! :-P

Maybe (hopefully) two... I'd love to go, and meet EB members in person, but I have two obstacles. 1) I live in Oregon. Long trip. My parents might not be willing to spend X amount of cash so I can meet a bunch of geeks ( :-P ;-) ) and talk about lego. 2) I'm fifteen. If I traveled by myself, it'd cost less, but my parents probably won't let me go alone, as they don't know any of you and they have no idea if you are responsable and trustworthy. So, long shot, but I'm hoping. What happens in an EB event, anyway?

Great entry, SirNadroj! Excellent pirate you have there. ;-)

:-D :-D I was just about to ask "Strange, no one commented on this, what's funnier than jellie aliens in Jell-o?" But now this comes up! :-D

A seaplane! :'-) No, not that one... How wonderful it would be to have a seaplane set. :'-) I think this (a grumman goose) or this (a beaver) would be excellent. *sweet* flying boat on

The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus issue #2

He might need "more-fin" so he can reach his sailboat. ;-) -
Can you find a picture? Looks like an interesting set. 8-|

Staunch; a Resolution medium transport on a recon mission
Corvus replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I think it looks excellent, not much to comment on, but I couldn't see where that "airlock" is. :-P -
That's fine with me. I was starting to think you were being sarcastic. All right, now I'll know what to watch out for- thanks for telling me.

The "Broken Spoke" Gold Mine: A Wild West MOC
Corvus replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Beautiful MOC! I love how you built the buildings into the mountain, and the water slough is *wub* !! I only have one complaint, and that is the cactus; that 1x2 ridged tile seems out of place. -
Now, I've been wanting to do a review of these...things (no offense!!)... along the lines of what Hinckley and UB did in their hilarious reviews of the ice cube tray. But I simply couldn't figure out why someone would want to spend their time looking at them! Then, during dinner, it hit me. I present: A jelly's natural habitat! :-P Unfortunately, I had eaten all the Jell-o before I thought of taking a spit take! :'-( And after dinner, a horrible trajedy occured*! What a waste of good wine! :'-( An no, I am NOT taking a spit take of wine! Waste! Waste! Waste! *No jelly aliens were injured in the making of this review :-P

Float, walk, whatever! :-P

Your attitude doesn't seem all that great here. I don't know if you're trying to or not, but it seems almost like you're trying to make fun of me. :-/ Are you?

Good! There is an entry thread; it just hasn't been pinned yet. You'll have to scroll down a bit, thought I need to link it to here.
