  1. I think he has the same eye part/orange thingy that Vezon has, so his eyes light up.
  2. How did I miss this topic?!?! >:-( How dare you leave us hanging and go away on your vacation! >:-( That's a bad thing to do Hinckley! Boo! bad! Bad! Sure, you don't care, off surfing, or skiing, or, or, or...! Grr! Come back and do the comic or I'll have to... I'll have to... to... I'll actually have to mean what I just said! :-D :-D :-D Have fun on your vacation, Hinckley! Where are you vacationing, anyway? Anyway, on to the comic: Are there any words to describe this? Only these 'ikle fellers here: :-D :-D 8-
  3. Ooh, cool, I live in oregon. I live in Bend, to be precise. I'd say a really good stop would be to go to the High Desert Museum. But, seeing as that's where I work, don't take my advice. Really, though. If you don't like museums, there is also a Bird of Prey center, the desertarium, and the otter exhibit, not to mention the Desert Dwellers show, which is birds of prey and other animals of the High Desert. Actually, the show season ends in a little while, so now would be a good time to go. (Was that the cheesiest attempt at persuasion ever?! :-P )
  4. *Goes upstairs and pokes Hydraxon* The part is the same. Where the white part would be is hard plastic, and where the red part would be is rubbery. Just a different paint.
  5. Math sucks, By Jimmy Buffet.
  6. I can't believe wicket survived to round two... Well, he won't get into the next one! Wicket swings his sling (hm, it rymes...)and throws it. The projectile bounces of the Emperor's rear end. This, of course, makes him rather annoyed. "This little rat does not deserve to live," he thinks. "But how to kill him? The possibilities are endless!" While the Emperor is pondering, Wicket finds a glowing rock in his pouch of the type found in Battlefront II. He throws it, and the Emperor is unceremoniously thrown on his bruised rear. Wicket then throws his spear at the Emperor. Since the little furball has short arms and the spear isn't that big, The spear misses the Emperor's chest and stabs him in the leg. Now very annoyed, The emperor pulls out his lightsaber and punishes Wicket. The emperor wins.
  7. Party? Nay, this is a party: Someone tell me that's too painful for the eyes. :-P :-X Happy birthday snefroe!
  8. To me, it was a tie between PT and EU. OT has already been used so much, that there are releases, re-releases, and re-re-releases. PT has already been made once, but there is still so much space to work with in there! EU has the most room of all to start in, but most of the sets aren't that well known. So, PT all the way!
  9. Yesterday I was typing a review in some off time at my 'job'. My friends asked me if I was on Facebook. I said "no", and kept on typing. They looked over my shoulder and saw a picture of lego, and stopped watching. They checked my screen again, and saw some text. They read it, and had to ask me what it meant! :-D They, not being lego fans, were really impressed that there was a good-sized lego online community. Now, my friends do not think of lego as toys. Maybe you should buy a UCS set, such as the Star Destroyer. It should make you feel older. ;-)
  10. You're probably right, but it seems such an uncompleted job. They should have put another part on it. Thanks for the kind replies, everyone, and you'll be getting your $20 I just cost you in the mail. :-P
  11. It wouldn't be as bad to drop. :-P It's so cute! *wub* I really wish lego would continue making them...
  12. Ugh, a Lego fashion show. Just don't want to know what Hinckley would be wearing... :-X :-D
  13. Hooray we have something resembling an order! :-D
  14. I not only know how to spell Crepuscular, but I also know what it means. So there. :-P When does the contest end?
  15. All right, the review is done! Feel free to comment!
  16. All right, My local Fred Meyer has (finally) gotten the new themes, so I managed to snag a set, Hydraxon. While going home, I decided to do a review, because 1, I have never done one before and 2, I am finally happy with my picture taking methods! :'-) Here's the reveiw (Part 1) The box: I don't have any pictures of the box, because I forgot to put the memory card in, so of course the pictures save to the internal memory, and I have no idea how to get them to the computer. :-$ Anyway, I'm fairly impressed with the box. The front shows a picture of Hydraxon with his arm raised, firing his Cordak. The back shows Hydraxon again, a close-up of his hands, Mahri Nui, and the other titans Warriors. The parts: Hydraxon has a fair amount of new parts. So, even if you don't like the set, you can still buy it for the MOCing potential. Here are all the new and recolored peices I could see: There's his Cordak, Two Hewkii blades, two Matoro scythes, a silver Pridak blade, a silver Kalmah thigh peice, Two short blades, two of the new tubes, his mask, eight (not including extra) Viking horns, and six gunmetal grey exo-force robot arms. His mask is better than I thought. I originally thought it would just be a boring silver mask with a breather and two boring eye slits. However, I was wrong. The eye slits have some depth to them, and that makes the mask so much better. There are three bags labeled 1, 2, and 3. And yes, it is sectioned- why I don't know, because it's only a twenty dollar set. :-/ But I suppose it was slightly helpful... The build Hydraxon has a very simple body. His bare skeleton looks very similar to the 2006 toa, and doesn't look as promising as Maxilos does in the early build. A few steps later, he looks a little more promising. When I first saw this step, I thought it was hilarious. The tubes that go around his torso are at first only connected to the front. He looks a bit like he has wings. :-D Then, the tubes wrap around the front to connect into a a part in the back. Then, something interesting happens. The tubes that connect to his mask bend away from his body and attach to the back. At first I was a bit worried about how this might turn out, but it adds some depth to the completed set. And then, the Piraka foot attaches. People complained that the foot wouldn't work, but I think it works just fine. Next in the build come the legs. The leg itself is relatively simple, but I still don't understand the logic of putting this part on the leg. Anyway, the leg itself doesn't have much of interest, but it looks okay. The legs do look a little long without the arms when attached to the body, but they look fine later. They are also relatively sturdy. The hands are probably the most innovative building in this set. They were different than I thought they would look like, but they look great, and they don't make the arms droop, like Axonn. The arm itself is simple and light. It looks good, and allows the arm to support the weight of the weapons. Because of the foot attached to his arm, he looks very powerful. Looks like he's been working out... The completed body: The weapons look good. On his left arm, he has a beautiful triple-blade thing. Anyway: On his right, he has a Cordak blaster. Since we all know what it looks like, I won't post a picture. Hello, Mr. Kalmah... I'm sorry, but you must be punished for escaping your cell... Completed Owing to his light arms, Hydraxon is a pretty stable guy. His arms don't flop, and he's pretty flexible. He can get in some good poses, too. A gunfight with the outdated Squid launcher. "Haha! Your's can't shoot! Mine kicks a**! The front: The back: Comments: All in all, I thought Hydraxon was pretty sweet. He has a well rounded build, and the only design flaw I can think of is that his shoulder armor wobbles a little, and only when you poke it. Also, he looks dangerous- Not only is he buff, but he has all the weapons. He just gives the impression that you wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley, Whereas the Toa inika were skinny and had a hi-meet-me-in-a-dark-alley-and-mug-me type look. His color scheme was great, though the red of the Cordak looked a bit ugly, especially in the back. The blue connector rods didn't spoil his look much, and I think that it might actually look nice. :-$ A good set, I'm going to have to give it an 8.5/10. *y* The Gallery. (When available)
  17. I had to say Apo. The Yoda-whack was very funny. :-D Sir Dillon, how did you make your Hinkley stay in midair?
  18. :-D I agree. better yet, say: 'Go space yourself' because it fits better in the star wars universe. :-D Tyranus wins!
  19. MM, reporting to you coordinants, Lord *vader*
  20. Jar Jar, being a clumsy fool, 'accidentally' opens the hatch on his pod thing, and all the blue grenades fall out, killing Han before he can even draw his blaster. Later, at his funeral, no one comes because he is flesh-toned... X-O Jar Jar wins! (Must be karma....)
  21. New contest! new contest! Flush-a-boat! :-D Edit: wait... Wasn't this somewhere else? Did the topics merge?
  22. It was really hard to choose. I ended up choosing MOC 1 for the playability as well. It also reminds me of the Republic Cruiser. :-P
  23. Boba uses the lovely tools on his printed arm to let loose his flamethrower on the Gamorrean. He then has a well done steak afterwards along with some red wine. Boba wins!
  24. Something funny, I know that. :-D
  25. It appears I've been bumped out. But not to worry! Since this was a bit short notice, maybe NEXT time we can PM each other to choose which sets to get, and start the topic when we all have the sets. So this time, I'm a bystander, but I'll come in next time. ;-) EDIT: PSP, try retaking the pictures outside against a white peice of posterboard, and turn the flash off; it only takes about five minuites to do. Also, try moving the pike weapon to the other hand so it doesn't look, well... Like something else. ;-) If my avatar is going to be humiliated, I want to have quality humiliation. ;-) :-P
