  1. Yeah! That mod does the trick! I like the set as an effective playset, but I mainly bought it for lots of grey parts and for Sabine... Plus I scored it at a pawn shop for $90. Thanks for posting. I hope you eventually are able to make this a larger MOC
  2. Man.. All great ideas. I personally think we are WAAAYYY overdue for Bossk and 4-LOM figs.. Sadly since we've seen a UCS slave I and the prelims for the (bloody awful) carbon freezing chamber, there's little hope we will get a real cloud city set any time soon, which might be the only hope for OT bounty hunters. In that vein of things, a updated cloud city Lando would be sweet. I would like to see a Quarren minifig.. maybe with a rebels set? ...wishful thinking... Even though the scout trooper helmet has held up well over the years, a more realistic update for that would be neat! ... Maybe not going to happen, but some more old republic figs would be excellent!
  3. Thanks! It took me about 4 months of on and off building, but I finished it an entire 14 months after I started. I'm new too, but I wouldn't recommend that. :) Done! Thanks for the heads up
  4. Great sense of motion!
  5. WOW! Gorgeous. Was this on display at Brick 2014 in London? I really enjoyed seeing this in person and I've always loved the ship!
  6. Good observation. There's a Wampa in there too if you look closely
  7. You've found a solution to the impossibly unnatural curve of the original's engine panels. Kudos!
  8. I admire the scale of this thing. Looks like it was fun to put together, though a little greebling can do a lot to break up the monotony of an ostensibly endless supply of 2x2 tiles and grey bricks. I think you should replace those fighter jets with some imperial craft. Nevertheless, some good humor is even better. Keep up the great work!
  9. Studly! Sturdy too, I would hope
  10. Looks great! they really fell short when it came to making the wings realistic.
  11. Thanks everyone for the great feedback. It's interesting how much my standards for brick cleanliness, localized levels of detail, and modular design have changed since I built this. If I did it again, I would pay much closer attention to those things. Unfortunately the only modular part of the MOC was from the top of Padme's balcony to the upper floor of Palpatine's chambers. Since the only thing separating it from the carpet was a 2 cm layer of cardboard, the black plates on the bottom accumulated a tremendous amount of dust, not to mention our dog's tendency to smash his tail against the greebles... I had a few freak incidents where speeders fell down the meter-long chasm, demolishing everything that stood in the way. Since I am new to eurobricks, I'm still getting the hang of embedding Flickr photos and I will revise the gallery with resized images. Thanks again!
  12. This is the first mosaic I built. Greyscale makes it a whole... lot... easier.... Enjoy, Finn Tk-421 by fineusscottneff, on Flickr
  13. This one was tricky as far as design is concerned, but I love the finished product. His left eye is in shadow (try blurring yours) Enjoy, Finn Smeagol by fineusscottneff, on Flickr
  14. Two whimsical lego creations that got me back into the swing of things my senior year of high school. They don't represent anything but two shoddily constructed towers which house the "bad guys" and the "good guys" Enjoy!
  15. I started this massive project in the summer of 2014 but took a year-long hiatus to let it collect dust in my parents' house, only to finish it a year later. I had the most fun trying to fit all of the scenes I could into the buildings. It was challenging to light the whole thing, as well as finding a way to build it as tall as possible. In addition to inspiration I drew from the prequel trilogy, the Old Republic video games provided some neat ideas, mainly in the likeness of the citizens roaming the streets and a couple of the rooms. I tried to echo some of the classic visuals from Blade Runner and similar "cyber-slum" design motifs. Enjoy, leave feedback, and if you want to see more, hit that Flickr link! https://www.flickr.com/gp/124383383@N04/Y5eu42 Cheers! Finn Yours truly!
  16. Hey Eurobricks community, My name's Finn. I'm a TFOL, born in Canada and raised in California. I lived for a year in England for an internship and was afforded the chance to tour Europe, seeking out Lego where I could find it. I recently got back in to Lego, as I'm sure many of you have, so my portfolio of MOCs is rather small. I'm not sure when I'll graduate to other disciplines of MOC building, but for now it's just Star Wars. I endeavor to build where no one has built before, but seriously, who doesn't? Here's a preview of the kind of stuff I like to build...
