  3. Hi! Here´s a little review of the new 8017 Darth Vader´s TIE Fighter - enjoy ! Set Name: Darth Vader ´s TIE Fighter Set Number: 8017 Price: Probably $29.99 US Pieces: 251 Minifigures: 1 Stickers: 1 sheet The box First we start of with a picture from the front - beautiful shiny box with the Dark Lord in the right bottom corner. In the upper right corner there is the classic picture from the original design from 1999 - nice tribute ! The back shows some features and the upcoming 8014-8016 sets. The same 1999 logo can be found here also. Darth CopMike makes a push for the environment friendly windpower for some reason ! One shortside with the same pictures as we seen on the above, nothing new. The other shortside is just the same old "Made in ....." etc and the item number 4534752. Now we check out the backside a bit more. First off is a closer look at Mr Vader with his so new nice print - same torso as the Death Star one. And we get to see that he stores his ignited lightsaber on the outside of the ship during flight . Here we can see that the cockpit opens like it usually does, so he can get out, that´s heavy dude! There seem to be a serious lack of instruments and stuff though to pilot it, maybe it´s like a homing pigeon and knows where to fly? With the index finger (not included) you can push on the fire mechanism and ....... - Ze missile is launched. Eat that you Rebel scum ! As the last shot of the box you can see the MasterTM and his apprentice DV getting down. That was the box. Now we open it and find ....... NOTHING ! It´s empty!! It´s a trap!!! I´ve been cheated - it´s a mock-up box! Well actually I knew that, because the box is a store display one, used for the near release of the set. And in Sweden you get an extra Darth Vader if you pre-book your set ! And that has been done3! Well that was all for now - I´ll be back! CopMike
  4. Nicely done ! I like the clean Snotty look! As snefroe said, now we want to see the big version ! CopMike
  5. Thanks for the feedback guys ! I´ve looked into that as soon as the orange 5x6 hexagonal flags were availiable but there are some stuff missing still :Tile 1 x 8 Wedge, Plate 8 x 3 left & right. CopMike
  6. I admit it´s not much of a MOC MOD but still pretty neat to have on the shelf. Thanks to the 7644 MX-81 Hypersonic Operations Aircraft we now have white 5 x 6 Hexagonal flags ! Next time I´ll even put on the stickers ! CopMike
  7. Yeah, like KimT said - you need to click it one more time (step 5 in the tutorial if you read it through ). So bring on the pictures! CopMike
  8. Hi! I´m not sure how much info on this that is availiable now, even before the actual release of the sets! But I´ll give it a try! Until then, here´s some other Castle info from Classic Castle. CopMike

And grab a couple of when it´s over! CopMike

    MOC: Speedboat

Hi Moose! Pretty cool little Moc you´ve made there ! I like the height over the water line that you added compared to the other smaller boats. Get´s a good view from the boat! But .......... I really think you should invest in one of these before posting pictures next time : Keep up the good work / CopMike
  13. You beat me to it Andrew ! We´ll keep you updated! CopMike
  14. How is this a "eBay madness, Post your crazy ebay finds here!" - since you´re just making a bump for your own auction?CopMike

  16. Very nicely built!! I like the clean design and that it actually looks like some of the post offices I´ve been to in the States. What it´s that silvery thing behind the cheese slope in the securty cam? CopMike
  17. Original work thinking outside the box= ! Is there a Pamela A fig on watch also that we could see, please ? CopMike
  18. Sir N - you left us in the FabPack way behind with your new design - it ROCKS ! Now that´s one ugly-/cute looking bear! Love the cheese, good use of the roof part and the rubber bands! CopMike
  19. Catching up on the the action here on EB - sorry for being late! Nicely done with the mud and the different parts of you that gets kicked in! Looks a bit like the chocolate river in Willy Wonka. Now I want to see more of course, especially with Ras promising words let hanging in the air ! - You better belive it!CopMike
  20. Well done there Dr S ! I need me a copy of that to read in bed before John Blund drives by with his magic powder. And ordered ! Keep writing so I can get me part 2 soon! CopMike
  21. Hi! After posting the review of the Ramboll oil platform I got a bit of a bad conscience about promoting carbon based energy sources . So therefore I built a micro Vestas windmill: Now I feel better again ! CopMike
  22. OMG ! Really nicely built! I love the details on the outside, and the details on the inside and the ......! Nice choice of colors, the outside reminds me of the movie Metropolis by Fritz Lang: Just back from New York I can´t but agree with the Art Deco style being really the most beatiful style to build in. The soda & pop corn desk, the theater itself with it´s colors ....! Well done / Copmike

  24. Hi! I´d thought I would make a review of this set because it´s not likely that everybody would stumble upon their own copy of it. So here we go: Setnumber: Unknown, though it says 10-99 on the box Setname: Ramboll Oil Platform Cecilie Released in: 2008 Number of parts: 225 + sticker Number of figs: 0 Price: Not buyable First we´ll check out the box: It´s 19x28x5.5 cm in size, quite small actually! When we open it we find the parts in one big LEGO bag: and if we look closer we can even see the sticker: The set is basicly built into sections, first of is the base that stand on the ocean floor: Then comes the first & lowest level of the platform itself: Notice the orange emergency rescue boat! Close-up: Followed by the middle level: And at last but not least the upper level with the heli-pad: In the middle through the diffrent levels there is a bunch of thick pipes: Here are all the different sections: And let´s put everything together : For my rescue there is a small helicopter: The instructions are printed on thick glossy paper, a real classy one actually : Well that´s about it for today. It was a fun build and I like the different colors also. There´s no new pieces in this set, everything is already done in other sets. Here´s a picture of Ramboll´s big version - built in scala 1:50 and 160 cm high & about 18700 pieces: Link to more info on the big set. Hope you enjoyed it ! CopMike
  25. I have no problem with the use of technic in sets. But I think the same as Kim, I want it covered by ordinary pieces where it´s possible. Here´s an example (bad maybe) of how I think: To me this is not something I´m the least interested in. It´s just a skeleton for futher building. I want something like this instead: I love when TLG use technic as frames, for example in the UCS Falcon. We get sets that wouldn´t be possible to build otherwise. But only technic - No way, José (insert attack from Sinner here!)! CopMike
