Different parts have been made in China for many years - just check a couple of your older boxes. The reason that TLG now has started making more parts and complete sets is that they want to expand into the Asian market. You can read more about it here.

Hi guys! The program is starting to get organized! There will be a visit to a Lego workplace situated outside the park. The final details of that is in the works. We´re also trying to set something up for inside the park! Evening competitons with prizes are also in the pipe. Bad news for me - I won´t be able to make it this year ! It will be the first time since the 2006 event (number 2) in Windsor that I miss out! Work, going into the business of buying/building a house and more has made it a no-go! I´m sure you guys will have a blast and under the professional guidance of Holodoc & Rolli this will be a great event as it always is! Hi guys! The event is coming closer and it's time to update a bit! First of all - The event has since the start been an opportunity to meet other members IRL and have fun together. Doing fun rides at the park and in the evenings eat, drink, build and hang out with the friends. And maybe a competition or two ;-)! And on top of that we always try to arrange something fun and cool that's Lego related, what depends on which park/town we are at. Last years 10 year anniversary in Billund will be hard to top (at least for a couple of years)! But we're trying to set up some fun stuff for this year! More info closer to the event!
