  1. Gwen's torso was new, plus I believe the head used for unmasked Miles. Jeff's torso is reused from city though, so 8 total I remain doubtful for a new Spidey (unless it's a specific new costume for a one off), as for MJ I'm guessing the Jyn Erso/Black Widow head
  2. I don't think anything can ever live up to the hype surrounding the Morbfather. Absolute cinema! Can't believe that someone wrote that for British Academy Film Award, Golden Globe and Oscar for Best Supporting Actress winning, plus Tony Award and two time Primetime Emmy Award nominated actress Ariana DeBose to deliver... and she ISN'T being nominated for an another Oscar for this film?!? Snubbed! Would Mephisto actually be allowed to appear in a set? Not sure if any other theme have used a devil or something close to one, but I'm sure it would probably go against LEGOs rules, which I'm also still convinced is why we don't have a First Avengers set Another example of horrible planning, at least in the UK the Hoopty (3 minifigs, 420 pieces, appropriate as whoever priced that set was on something) is £10 cheaper than the Spider Man NWH final battle (9 minifigs, 900 pieces)
  3. Tell that to her mom who was researching spiders in the Amazon right before she died There's no notes about any of the other figures so sure, Venom could be a big fig, which would help excuse the price to a degree, but the more likely answer for the price is inflation Apartment figures: Spider Man, Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, Mephisto and Paul
  4. The Pepper figure is fine for Iron Man 1, but beyond that she wears a lot of white outfits and has her hair down a lot more. I think the Hermione hair piece would work well if recoloured (after looking it up, I'm surprised that piece hasn't actually been recoloured other than bright yellow for the exclusive Supergirl/CMF sleepy girl or gold for the anniversary Hermione) We need Gwen how she looks in the LEGO games. Since the Bugle figure felt more Spider Gwen civilian based, I tried to craft a regular Gwen with that green/purple colour scheme, but the best green torso I could find was Ginny from the Burrows. Legs I used Daphne from Scooby Doo, but all together while it was the best I could do, I wasn't completely satisfied with it
  5. I wouldn't have thought anyone could mistake Gwen (white suit and a hood... wait...) with Julia Carpenter (black suit with hair) but that happened. To the non-nerds who have watched Spiderverse or played Rivals, Peni literally fits the description of 'Spider Girl'. Not definitively saying it could be her though You know, I'm something of a mutant myself
  6. It's Kraving time! Technically there's 2 newish villains, Norman's not been seen since the yellow skin days, when he had no abs, just a plain yellow torso After the Venom car initially said Gwen would be included, but ended up being Julia Carpenter, not sure what to expect with 'Spider Girl'. Could be Mayday (🤞), could be Anya Corazon, could actually be a various Spider Woman, could even be Peni Parker
  7. Not a massive deal breaker, but why does Hulk have plain legs? The past few sets (all being cheap ones) gave him purple/green dual print That Thanos figure is incredible though, definitely the best when it comes to comic book Thanos (only mini fig scale though, 2016 big fig reigns supreme to me) I agree with this, the only way I can really accept the absurdity of it is just to picture an in universe demo derby where someone has designed a vehicle on Hulk's likeness. Pair it with the Spider Man monster truck for a good ol' face off
  8. Here's some stats on the set to consider before buying it Between 5 minifigures there are 23 pieces (not counting Iron Patriot's shoulder cannon), only 5 of which are exclusive (this is assuming Rhodey has the same face, otherwise this makes 6) Clearly the inclusion of Aldrich Killian and Iron Patriot would base this set around Iron Man 3... Yet the Mark 6 and 43 are both reused (we already knew this, but now it's a clear picture). Mark 6 I can understand reusing, there was no way this set wouldn't have repeats (why has Pepper not changed her outfit between Iron Man 1/2/3 or Avengers?), I can see the cost effectiveness here, the Marvel logo set had 5 new prints across the figures, and the only new part of the Mark 6 in that set was the torso. So at least for now Cap, Hulk and Thor are still exclusive, that's okay... WHY is the 43 here instead of the 42? That's 3 sets now, one of them was meant to be an army builder/battle pack, so some people might have a couple of spares already. This set features the villain from Iron Man 3 and the secondary heroes new suit from Iron Man 3, why would they omit the main suit from Iron Man 3? Usually the exclusive Iron Man armours are the draw for the Armoury sets (who'd have thought) yet this one features no new/exclusive/updated actual Iron Man Btw I believe the suit display sticker on the right is the Mark 46/Civil War suit for those wondering Igor... the torso of the suit looks like a good improvement over the last one, however the arms use the same single mold piece as the mechs, meaning it has less mobility than the previous version. BUT the legs have the Mixel joints type build... so going back to my prior rant about the mechs, why can Igor have moveable legs but not arms? And if Igor can have moveable legs, why can't the mechs? And lastly on my unintentionally large rant on the negatives (my apologies if anyone has actually read this far to see this), the design has been slightly modified from the previous Armoury. Extension sets don't really work if you can't make your mind up on if the stands need a whole 2x3 elevation for the suits, or a different colour used for the base Personal positives for the set... Iron Patriot does look fantastic. And there's something about the simplicity of DUM-Es build that I really like over the previous ones. It's probably the size of him too, definitely more accurately proportional (when writing this I didn't realise he was in the Iron Man car Vs Red Hulk set, but my point still stands, the longer treads look better, though I am on the fence on if the black or yellow hand looks better) Edit: okay after posting that is definitely a lot, I know damn well I wouldn't read all of that so my apologies for all who encounter this 'mess'-age
  9. The verdict everyone has been waiting for... Iron Patriot DOES indeed have leg printing
  10. Picked up the Iron Man mech Vs Ultron today, I've never really cared much for the mechs themselves, typically just the exclusive figure/s, but I always appreciated them for what they were That was until they started using these pieces for the arms and legs https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=79846&idColor=85#T=C&C=85 From a play feature point of view they're just terrible. If Iron Man needs this mech to fight Ultron, he can't reach down to punch him unless he's doing the splits and his arm cannon can only aim in less than 90° direction, plus his torso needs to rotate about 45° to shoot in front of him. There's practically no point having a repulsor its his left hand, that needs to be raised in the air to shoot I spent so long hating on the large buildable figures, but you know what... they at least have mobility. I do also see the irony of complaining since a basic LEGO person can't raise their arms or legs outwards
  11. It's an entirely different suit and it will be the only non recycled figure in that set. Plus if that leaked low quality picture was correct and not using place holders, Iron Patriot and Aldrich Killian are the only exclusives in that armory (My argument for why the image might be a placeholder is for the quality, Iron Patriot's seeming no leg print and Killian's chest looked weirdly designed unless the intention is for an Extremis fire effect under his skin) Most building sets in Super Heroes sets have those bricks to connect, even the 2018 IW Sanctum and Wakanda sets, so yeah, don't know why everyone's only just spitballing that a deli of all things will have a connected set It would be pretty awful if it does, the deli build itself is only 6 bricks wide. Which to be fair would probably be expected of an apartment Peter Parker can afford The Endgame Iron Patriot could be the one to break that trend, it's SO bulky. And if they do for that, maybe they'll add a piece to the Iron Man 2 figure (seeing as that set will have a repeated War Machine, Iron Man MK6 and probably two of the same Hammer drone)
  12. Kaine would be an absolute dream, seems like the only place we could see him pop up. Tie that together with Ben showing up in the CMF series (and Spider Punk too). Villain wise, maybe THIS will be our chance at comic book Electro, Shocker or Lizard (at this point I'd be content with a minifigure version over a big fig), wouldn't say no to an updated Scorpion either <Yawn> now I've woken up from my dream, you're probably almost right with the expectations. Reused Spidey, Miles with hoodie, Gwen and Venom, updated Green Goblin and Doc Ock, then brand new Madame Web and Kraven figures Jokes aside, this year sounds like it could potentially rival the 2016 era of Spider Man sets I'm just glad after 6 years we're finally seeing the Endgame Iron Patriot. Gotta wonder what build they're going to barf up for this one though, everything's been covered at least twice (save for the portals) Someone update me if I'm missing something, but now all we're still waiting on is Ronin, Smart Hulk's jumpsuit and 2014 Gamora right? At least thinking of main characters, I've lost hope for Howard the Duck
  13. The last one was a SHIELD Quinjet based on the first Avengers film, with this one including Quicksilver it'll be based on the Avengers Quinjet from AoU which is very different in design all together https://screenrant.com/quinjet-mcu-variants/ (Sadly though the site has upgraded visually, I still can't post a decent photo link, so that will have to do)
  14. I'll spare the massive details on the sets, but they're around on a 'fateful' Instagram page 76312 The Hulk Truck Vs Thanos Figures: Hulk (with helmet) and Thanos (with Infinity Gauntlet and Tesseract) 76323 Avengers: Endgame Final Battle Figures: Captain America, Iron Man (with sword and shield), Scarlet Witch (with flame elements), Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Ant Man, Iron Spider (with four mechanical arms), Falcon (with 2 stud shooters), Thanos (big fig) and Chitauri (with arm mounted canon) Giant Man mech included
  15. Two Face had a new hairpiece, which feels like the kind of piece that could show up again somewhere, but with it only being half there's not a lot of opportunity for it (Also I'm aware he has appeared once post TLBM) Evil prediction, just to make myself public enemy #1; Arkham is Dark Knight Trilogy based Figures are repeated Batman, Joker, Two Face and Scarecrow and new Commissioner Gordon, Ra's Al Ghul (reusing Doctor Strange's head) and Rachel Dawes (reusing Vicki Vale/Jyn Erso's head, and Pepper Potts' torso. Also includes the Hermione/Pepper Potts head to offer a Maggie Gyllenhaal recasting play feature) It's also a Shadow Box, but this one is dark grey "Some men, just want to watch the world burn"
  16. Not like there wasn't already enough opportunity for LEGO to make it (comics and now official Spider Verse sets) but it's yet ANOTHER media featuring Peni Parker and Sp//dr, whose design might be my favourite across media for the character Also if they run out of ideas for new buildable Groots... there's always Jeff Even if unrelated to the game, I want to see a lot of the base characters pop up in sets. Cloak & Dagger, a comic book Adam Warlock (preferably Rivals design though) and Squirrel Girl
  17. I really don't get this Red Hulk figure, his angry face looks like the average General Thunderbolt Ross Red Hulk, but his alternate head has sunglasses and a moustache, which takes more inspiration from the Robert Maverick Red Hulk. There's only a small time that Ross as Rulk has kept his moustache, which was in a Captain America comic from a couple years ago Unless it's meant to be Ross midway through transformation, which really shouldn't be on a red head, it should be on a flesh head like how Bruce had it
  18. That's the hairpiece I've used for my purist unmasked Spider Gwen. It's available in yellow too He'd need another new head if that's the case, there's not a single shot of Winter Soldier smiling in that film outside of flashbacks/war footage. It's surprising to me he actually got a new face and didn't recycle Poe Dameron's I might be in the minority here, but I'm fine with his outfit being inaccurate since he wears a plain black jacket. His previous CW figure was based on concert art that gave him a more exciting costume Should the figure be reused in a CA:TWS set, there would be serious redemption points for the lack of arm printing if a new head featured his mask on both sides with the goggles on one I'm also really glad I still have the original Civil War sets/figures, so I have a spare printed Winter Soldier arm to add to this figure
  19. When it was confirmed Wolverine would be in the S2 CMF there was plenty of backlash, but I was on board because I knew it would be the best Wolvie figure we've had so far (and probably ever will), which it was. I feel the same about Gwen in this circumstance, we'll get the best version of her, likely with arm printing to highlight the pink/blue web design, plus leg printing to feature her blue dance shoes, maybe if we're lucky a new detailed hood with the pink/blue web design on the interior, which at least to me is comforting despite the amount of Gwen's we already have. I hope Noir is excluded since the last figure (which yes is no longer available anymore, so I understand why he'd be desirable on the current market) did him perfectly, but if we were to be included, I hope he could include a smaller scale Spider Ham (like Loki with Throg), which would clear up another slot. Also a rubix cube, it would be nice to get one in Lego form Also if D&D can include multiple heads to change the characters gender, any relevant Spider-person NEED to include an extra head & hair for unmasking On a separate note, not sure who suggested accessories could include the comic covers for each variant that appears in the film, I would love to see that happen for the series, but imagine if we ever had another comics based CMF (another meaning either DC or Marvel) where each figure had a comic book tile of either their first appearance or an iconic cover, just like Bat Mite with Detective Comics #27, or Avengers Tower and the X-Mansion with Avengers #1 and X-Men #1. This theme is so saturated with the films, it shouldn't forget where it came from
  20. I meant books from the Super Heroes theme, I should've specified
  21. All I care about is Spider Punk. I was thinking he might've been the exclusive figure in the upcoming book (either comics or ATSV based) since the upcoming wave are giving us a new Spider Woman figure, I thought new Spider Verse variants are back on the table so what better way to sell the book than by including one of the most popular new characters from the second film Also the exclusive book figures never seem to be villains, so it's basically guaranteed to be a Spider Man variant anyway It wasn't exclusively Batman suits, there were 5 suits, one Batgirl, casual Dick, Barbara and Commissioner Gordon, a reused Joker from Arkham (new face), nurse Harley and 9 new villains The only reason I bothered listing them all is so we can reflect that both TLBM series had 20 figures. I understand chasing down 20 figures could be frustrating, but imagine if both Marvel CMFs had 20 Series 1 could've filled out Agatha, USAgent, Zemo, Strange Supreme, Infinity Ultron, Yellowjacket, Zombie Scarlet Witch and Watcher (beast mode) Series 2 could've had Ms Marvel (in place of Agatha), God Loki, Daredevil (yellow suit), Scarlet Scarab, Kahhori, Talos, Nightcrawler, Jubilee and Cable
  22. Not sure just yet what to think just yet of the Spider Verse set, need better images, but I love the Spot! Also Jeff being included as well is really nice, mainstream superhero sets don't include regular, non hero/villain side characters anymore, so it's great to see a change to that Seeing Julia means Venom car is an instant get for me. I'll definitely need to Bricklink a couple of her torsos to make some custom female Venomized characters. It's also a cheaper way to get black/white dual printed legs, which as of yet have only appeared in the Bugle. Since she wasn't previously confirmed to appear, does anyone remember if it was originally reported to be a different character or just Spidey & Venom? Iron Man's car looks nice (though also like something outta Fortnite). We know this Red Hulk would be a minifigure, but it's a MASSIVE suprise to see Robert Maverick/Tom Selleck Hulk instead of Ross. Quite an obscure decision, but if they were to make him into a big fig, I'd hope it would be based on him wearing the Iron Patriot armour in the No Surrender storyline
  23. Sticky Fingaz? I would unironically love to see a Kingpin mech, but specifically based on ITSV, where the mech itself is just massive, near D2C Hulkbuster size, and in the middle of the chest is his head in moveable big fig head size Also including a plaque with a quote on the stand that reads "It's not always about the money Spider-Man... It's about the mets baby, love the mets"
  24. I hope a moderator decides enough is enough one day, and organises a mass intervention with everyone's loved ones Every time I return to this thread loony bin I'm usually 3 pages behind so skip some vital lore, then whatever insanity is on the most recent page makes my brain play Sum 41's 'In Too Deep' I... Urm... Wha... I rest my case your honour But what if he was called Jingles and was a single dad of 3 (Abner, 37M, Matthew, 8F and CAT GP25N Forklift, 3F) just trying to make ends meet by selling balloon animals on the corner of East Street? Piece count: 96
  25. What if it's Blade? I'm sure there's no way it gets postponed for ANOTHER script change or ANOTHER director dropping out... Right? If Spider Man can't even feature Electro in his comic book sets, what chance do the Fantastic Four have at including him? (ready to eat my words in 2026 with "Mister Fantastic's Fantastic Four Helicopter versus Magneto and Electro with Monster Truck")
