Figure I would do like I did with Flare again and just make the model now, get some pictures, then return the parts to the proper sets and get the real parts for this another time. Story wise, Rocket is one of the newer members of the legendary Hazard Unit. He wasn't even in the Legotron Army during the days when Stormer first led the unit when it was created in 2365. He study the events of the Galactic War, the war that made the unit famous when he joined the Legotron Army Academy in 2391. During that time he was trained by retired Hazard Unit member Nex in the arts of hand to hand combat. He became a specialist fighting with twin jointed swords and has battle skills with them perfected that he can deflect laser fire with them. He would often talk with Stormer about his days in the Great War (1720-1970) to how his old Terrorcon enemies were like during the Galactic War (2325-2367). In 2395 he graduated from the Legotron Army Academy and was shocked when active Hazard Unit commander Evac asked him if he wanted to join his unit. Since that point he has been a member of the unit as of the early 2400's. Personality wise, he's more of the less talking and more hitting types when there is trouble going on. When he is on no missions, he more talkative and has several friends. Such as his teammates and the retire Stormer, Bulk, and Stringer. Along with Gamma Unit commander Vapour. Stormer, Rocket, and Evac: Comannder Evac and Rocket gets ready for battle: Notes: The white and black color scheme is a personal MOC homage. Back in my older brick Lego transformer days, I had a character named Orbit and that transformed into an shuttle. Also the name Rocket is also a nod, one of my early Throwbot transformers back in 2000 was named Rocket but was never added in my stories. So the name finally sees action though a different character. The sword idea comes from Star Trek and Star Wars, I kind of like the idea for double jointed swords. As for the Bionicle era parts on it, I had to cut rods to make connect them to the HF armor parts.

Nice update for the character. But, why no extra yellow hand on the gun arm?

Evo 4.0 from the Lego store.

Ideas for new part designs
Nightcruise replied to Nachapon Bricks's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Wow, wonderful models. Here's something I was wondering if you could. Say like you are making an angle building with the normal bricks and instead of a flat side, you have edges. Would it be possible to take a single one dot brick, make one side flat and use that to fill in the edges and make a flat angle side on the building? -
I just find it odd to see Alfred with guns. Atleast with the Batman I knew from growing up, he would avoid guns at all cost. Yet now Alfred fights by his side, with the very same weapons that killed his parents. As for the foes, it does hurt to not see Mr. J as the main threat. But I can see the greatest version of him on my DVDs, but I'm just not sure about these guys at all. They could had just took some characters from Batman Beyond and made changes. Blight was created by Batman in that series, so it could had been like that with this series too. Blight would had made a great threat, just as much as the Joker would had and still could had fresh stories using that character. This Pyg guy just does not strike me as a real threat. Joker is insane and Blight is a walking meltdown, this guy just reminds me of the pig from Star Fox 64. As for the annimation style, I don't mind it all. I just wish it would had been like Young Justice, so we could start having several series under one universe again. Like the DCAU days in the past, instead its just several series with no connections to each other.

Now why couldn't Lego have done that? These are very good, would like to know how you did GL's shoulder armor.

The idea for Flare just came when I was looking at my old Throwbot figure. At this point the MOC is in WIP status as I'm still working on a better gun and the head gear is just a stand in. Also I had to take parts from other sets to do this, so I'll need to get some parts before its really completed. The character will be one of the first post war characters in my stories. My basic set up so far is that he's a new member of the Hazard Unit, either forty or fifty years from my latest story date. So either 2407 or 2417 as story year events. Stormer, Bulk, and Stringer (retired in 2367) and Evo and Nex (retired in 2385) are now part time members of the unit, often around to help train new members and go on missions every now and then. Evac was promoted to commander of the Hazard Unit by Stormer following the end of the Galactic War in 2367. Since then the new Hazard Unit has been made up by Evac, Static, Force, Flare, Rocket, Gear, and Lunar. The Terrorcon Army was crushed in the final days of the war, many were captured or killed. Since then a new generation came up with new ideas instead of galactic conquest and only wanted peace, they abandon the Terrorcon faction and isntead join the Cyberbots. Still the Terrorcons are not a thing of the past, one former general, Reaper (Core Hunter) escaped being captured and spent the years in hiding. He's just now came out with a small unit of his own, hoping to restart the war once again. Personality wise, Flare mainly acts lay back most of the time but can be serious when he needs to be. With commander Evac:

Would it really been that hard to make those parts on Hulk green? Come on Lego, I know the company can do better. As for Ironman, I see some parts on it that I'll love to get for mocs. Besides already getting Joker, I might pick up Batman and Ironman just for parts.
-
Yeah, I'm a bit lost with that. Chewk, this is pretty much wave number two under the breakout banner.
-
I like the new bad guys, but I'll just by the heros for moc parts. I kind of like to picture Stormer as somebody like Batman instead of this "Stormer Smash!!" Hulk vibe figure. Though I'm a little shock there is no new hero character in this wave.

Ransik is not evil, he's only with Deviot because he freed him. At one time Ransik fought as a gladiator against wild Raw-Jaws. He often would have special armor in the colors of the beast. One day he fought ten in one day, he thought all were dead and had his back turned to the crowd. Then suddenly his right hand was bitten off and he was on the ground. Since his sword was in his right hand, all he could use was his left hand. He ended up choking the Raw-Jaw to death and later cut off its head and wore its stuffed head on his right shoulder. Deviot had witness the event and thought he would make a great soldier. He tried to by him from his owner, when the owner refused to release Ransik, Deviot killed him on spot and freed all the gladiators. Since Deviot freed him, Ransik swore an oath to fight for him, regardless if the actions were right or wrong. While it took him awhile, he became a master at sword fighting with his left hand and learned to battle with his new club hand. Battle with Nex: The current enemy force in my stories: Ransik, Shriek, Deviot, Goldox, Firefly, and Joker. Notes: The helmet was used mainly because I don't have alot of red helmets. The latest red helmet I would have after this would be Furno 1.0. The black parts on the lower legs acts as leg armor and also a nod to the ancient Roman army leg armor. The animal head on right shoulder is a nod to Lio Convoy from the Japan Beast Wars II series.

Out of the spikes at the moment, but got the gold feet.
-
What would you suggest instead of the feet I have now? I'm open to changes if I have the parts around.

Goldox is the loyal sub commander of Deviot in his army. In fact, he's the only Deviot could trust for anything and not be betrayed. When Deviot pretended to have been killed, he set Goldox up as his replacement until he made his return moment. Never once during that time did Goldox ever really tried to take over. Goldox and Deviot first met in a odd way. Goldox had been a bounty hunter and the Legotron Army had paid him to take down Deviot back in 2315. The two met in battle and no matter what he did, Deviot never went down. So instead, he ended his mission and decided to train Deviot to fight better. He had remained by his side for years, until late 2366 when he was sent off by Volcanex (Fire Lord) for a special mission. During that time, Deviot's ship was nearly destroyed and only he survived. Goldox found the ruin ship and Deviot laying on the ground with his right arm blown off. Goldox was the one that gave Deviot his new hook arm and and fought other Terrorcon soldiers who tried to take out Deviot. Which during that moment, he got a new battle helmet after throwing out the head it was with. When Deviot took over as Terrorcon leader, he was given the rank of sub commander. When Furno flew the battleship Matrix into Deviot and his super weapon in early 2367, Goldox searched the debris field and watched over Deviot again. During that time, Deviot wanted to appear to be killed to catch his enemies off guard. So he placed Goldox in charge, knowing that spies would fall for it. After he made his return, Goldox gave up the act and returned to his sub commander rank. Unlike most in his power, Deviot considers Goldox a personal friend. As a former bounty hunter, Goldox is a skilled fighter and all the death blows Deviot knows came from him. Evac against Goldox: Notes: The name Goldox is a pun of the Power Rangers character Goldar. The design was inspire form the Transformers War for Cybertron Grimlock model. As for the Fangz helmet, I wanted a more stronger connection. So instead of rubber bands, I used super glue. I have no plans on taking apart the MOC, so it make the choice a bit easier. I got Rocka XL only for the reason to build Goldox.

What was the last movie you watched?
Nightcruise replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Was watching Jurassic Park earlier. -
Much better than the old leaked pictures. Set looks really color and I love the color choices, but I'll get it for parts. Just one question about the sword part, is the green hard or soft plastic?

Batman had Joker, Superman had Lex, Optimus had Megatron, Stormer has Deviot. He's the main reason why I won't be doing anything about the new HF wave in my stories, no kidding on that part as I list why below. Deviot is not the strongest, but he makes up for it in other ways. He can't be killed, he's a master at battle strategy, he's manipulative, and he's sadistic to his enemies. His story starts in 2292, when as a Jetcon he was shot dowm by Maximal forces over Cybertron. It was then he was changed forever, they needed a test subject for a secret operation and he was the perfect subject. They experimented on his spark, trying to clone the anceint Decepticon, Starscream's indestructible spark. He was the first test subject under Project X, but he later escaped. It was at this point that Deviot discovered his new gift, when he could not be killed by Throwbot soldiers. In 2365, he became a Terrorcon and was a general under Volcanex (Fire Lord) private army. When he took over as Terrorcon leader, Deviot was promoted to general of the armies in early 2366. Later in the year, he was badly damage in a space battle against the battleship L.S.F Matrix. Which at the time, the ship was under command by Surge and was heading for Quatros to rescue Stormer and the others. Deviot's ship came out of warp and attacked, but his ship was no match at all and was nearly destroyed. Deviot only could watch his crew die in front of him and then his right arm was blown off. Just days later, Volcanex was killed in battle and he wanted to take over. But Jetbug also wanted to take over as Volcanex's second in command, the Terrorcons enter a civil war. But that was short live as Deviot tricked Jetbug and his followers and they walked into a Legotron Army testing range and was captured. Once he had full power, he wanted revenge and he gave no mercy. Deaths/Near Kills: *His forces captured Surge and he tortures him. Cut out his voice box and cut off his right arm. Then sent his stasis locked body into a shuttle and blasted into a black hole and prevented Stormer's rescue. Months later, he shows Stormer the holographic video of the "operation" and enrages Stormer, who was nearly killed. *Kills Breez in battle after setting up an ambush, who dies in Stormer's arms. *Beheads Rocker (Rocka) after he get's seperated from the others in battle. *Kills the traitor Rotor on the same day, who died protecting his brother Vapour. *Captures the legendary Grimlock and orders the deaths of the other 149 government members from Legotron and it's allied planets. *Repairs an anceint Quintesson super weapon and tried to destroy Earth's star and take out the humans on Earth, Mars, and the moon. Was prevented by doing that in a last ditch effort plan by Stormer, Expect, he was knocked out by Furno and placed into an escape pod. Furno flew the battleship Matrix into the super weapon and saved trillions. *Thought to have been killed, but was still online. Made his return a month later on the planet Ion and shows Stormer what happened to Surge. After beating Stormer, he explains his immortality to Stormer and Vapour's shocked troops. Then while still enrage, Stormer strikes but Deviot stabs him in the chest. Deviot and his army retreats thinking Stomer was dead, but he was too enrage to die. The two foes: Notes: The name Deviot and some of the features of the MOC are homages to one of my favorite Power Rangers bad guys as a kid. The helmet was selected because it looked close enough to the face that the Power Ranger bad guy had. It was recolored using the same colors, black, gold, and silver. This MOC was built back when 3.0 first started, he's one of the first when it came to making up my own bad guy characters with the HF system.
-
Don't know why, but the helmet reminds me of something from a 50's sci fi movie. Good review, but I'll be getting this for parts only. Rocka kind of lost his head in my stories.
-
Both, you have to make cut for it to be able to be use for resealable use.
-
Meet Joker, as you can clearly see, it's not a MOC of Mr. J himself. This is a newer character in my stories with a few characteristics of the Mark Hamill Joker. But besides those, he's a complete different character from the DC version. His backstory starts as a Jetcon soldier in 2313 and was shot down over Earth by Throwbot forces. During his six months hiding, he went mad after going paranoid in the ruins of Los Angeles. When we was finally located by Throwbot forces, he was found laughing uncontrollably. Over the years he was known as POW #4479 in the Legotron Police data records. He had escaped countless times and got to the point he was placed in isolation. That drove him even more insane to where he lost all knowlege of who he was before. In 2365 when the Jetcons became the Terrorcons, he escaped once again and worked together with the future Terrorcon leader Deviot. But he was soon captured during a battle with Maximal and Predacon forces, while Deviot escaped. In April 2367, he escaped once again and located Deviot, much to his dismay and joined his army. He's insane, but highly dangourus. His tall can zap enemy soldiers and steal information from them before electrocuting them. He's also strong enough that he can choke somebody he grabs. Notes: The helmet is from a Bionicle figure that broke on me. POW #4479 is a nod to Heath Ledger as he was born on that date. The design is almost a nod to Beast Wars Scorponok, who would had been in my story universe as I have G1, Beast Wars, and Beast Machines set in the past.

Maybe flashfreeze starts out as a hero under the name Freeze and becomes evil as a result of something. I may be wrong with this, but I think duplo bucket is some type of Lego system for younger fans.
-
Or perhaps a villain that uses fire as a weapon.
-
Perhaps they could suprise us and make Stormer as some store exclusive for this wave. Probably won't be the case though.
-
That's the good thing about creative people, they can do away with the old and start fresh. Perhaps Grimlock thought he was a weak leader and took over for himself. Then Dinobot and him become bitter rivals and he joins the cons. Its all name only, its not like they are the same characters as before.

Don't know about that one. The Power Rangers series came from Japan and I think our first series took place in Japan in the 70's. So there could of been some nod by the time the first Transformers showed up. Though I really want to to see a certain raptor added to the group.
