  1. Just2Good has the capacity to be wrong. Everyone has the capacity to be wrong. I just don't see it being very likely because LEGO is the biggest toy company in the world and LEGO videogames are among the most popular platformers at the moment. I don't think LEGO Dimensions will have a year four but if I were a betting man I'd bet anything that they'd follow through with year three. Doctor Who does. Wasn't the case with Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, E.T., Gremlins, Mission Impossible, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, Portal etc... You've got to be kidding. LEGO is much bigger than Funko. That sounds like a better description of LEG to me. How do you explain the fact that Playmobil are producing figures of franchises that have their building toy rights owned by another company then? Playmobil clearly must be sharing Funko's rights to produce figures of characters. The idea that The Simpsons is inappropriate for kids is ridiculous IMO...but not anywhere near as ridiculous as the idea that E.T. is also inappropriate. E.T. is literally the perfect family movie. It is still considered a U by the BBFC. And how many kids exactly haven't seen E.T.? It's a timeless classic that is shown to every age group, from toddlers to the elderly. I've never heard one person before now even suggest the idea that E.T. is not appropriate for children. Disappointing if we don't get Ron as well though to complete the trio - and I don't mean just by having Hermione unlocking him (how lame would that be?).
  2. LEGO Universe and Minifigs Online didn't have well-known IPs like Doctor Who and Ghostbusters. LEGO Dimensions combines IPs for everyone - you've got Legends of Chima for kids, The Simpsons for older kids and E.T. The Exta Terrestrial for adults - and who doesn't want to see LEGO versions of their favourite characters? LEGO Dimensions isn't only the biggest toys-to-life game, it's the biggest game ever. There's no way it wouldn't be successful enough to warrant a third year. Also: Playmobil only have the rights for figures, not for actual building sets. It's a joint deal with Funko, who already have the license for figures, so they might even be sharing Funko's rights. Now that is definitely nonsense. Of course there will be LEGO Ninjago Movie Dimensions sets. I will be shocked if they don't announce a LEGO Ninjago Movie Story Pack.
  3. Too many times they portray all enemies as just enemies but here it looks like they've got it totally right. Batman and the Joker, like the Doctor and the Master, are definitely frenemies and not plain enemies. Friends within enemies, enemies within friends.
  4. There's no way there not going to do Year 3. Sorry but anyone who thinks that is talking rubbish - even Just2Good, even if he has sources that tell him otherwise. LEGO is the most popular toy on the planet - it's impossible that their toys-to-life game isn't making them more money than had they not decided to make LEGO Dimensions, and if it has stopped making them money it's their fault for not exploiting the Year 1 franchises they had enough. I would be shocked if there wasn't a Year 3 featuring returning franchises from Year 1, including Doctor Who, Jurassic Park/World, The Simpsons, Scooby Doo and maybe Ghostbusters (they could release Gozer and Dana Barrett). I don't have sources (as Just2Good has had occasionally) but I don't think they're always reliable anyway. I trust my instincts more than any source that claims that LEGO Dimensions content is somehow coming to a premature end.
  5. The concept of a hybrid console is new. There hasn't been a game console that becomes a handheld when you take it out of a dock before - and certainly not one where you can play big home console games on the go without the need for a constant Wi-Fi connection.
  6. I was surprised they didn't release more Wizard of Oz packs. A Team Pack with Dorothy and Toto would have made sense.
  7. I couldn't care less about any of that personally. It's just nice to be able to play as Bart. I see no reason why LEGO Dimensions would be stopping any time soon...
  8. I hope 'It's raining dads' will actually be used later on as a full blown song parody of It's Raining Men.
  9. I've always thought of The Simpsons as a primetime family sitcom that happens to be animated, the same way as Doctor Who is a primetime family drama.
  10. I couldn't care less about specs personally. I'd rather have a console that does something new than just the same as the PS4.
  11. Why didn't you think he'd be very popular? The Simpsons is still the most popular animated series of all time! I don't think Just2Good is right. Those are all first year packs; they won't be as popular as the new year two content.
  12. I guess Bart Simpson's not proving as popular as you'd have thought...
  13. They should do more LEGO Doctor Who before they take on another new franchise.
  14. You'd think it would be unlocked straight away. Making it so you have to complete the Story Pack first is weird.
  15. Many do though. It has always been a family drama, at least here in the UK. It used to be on at 5:15pm during the classic series and a few modern day Christmas Specials have also aired in that time slot.
  16. Doctor Who is definitely appropriate for 12 and under. It's a family drama.
  17. I doubt it, they'd have probably got him to do it before if they wanted Ralph Fiennes to voice Voldemort.
  18. To be honest I doubt anybody would be hoping to play as Poison Ivy anyway. It was only speculation.
  19. You can't say that. The LEGO Dimensions Dalek/Cyberman Fun Pack was only last year. The other two LEGO Doctor Who sets came out 2015. Something may be announced for 2017. LEGO would be stupid not to turn LEGO Doctor Who into a line given the huge success of the Ideas set and the Dimensions packs.
  20. Better value for money if she is playable.
  21. If LEGO don't launch a Doctor Who theme, then they're making a huge mistake IMO. There's 53 years worth of material they could use for LEGO sets. They could do a Dalek Saucer set - that would sell millions worldwide - or a big version of the K9 mini-build from the LEGO Dimensions Level Pack. They would have to be stupid not to do it.
  22. Probably that the Joker NFC figure will appear as the LEGO Batman Movie Joker in the LEGO Batman Movie Adventure World and Poison Ivy is a playable character who comes with one of the LEGO Batman Movie NFC figures like the Ghostbusters 2016 characters and Abby Yates.
  23. There's not really anything else that would sell for BTTF though, whereas there's still plenty that could be done with Doctor Who. Plus: Series 10 this April.
  24. I bet this is a sign that they're planning to release a LEGO set based on the 10th Doctor's TARDIS interior - or something similar.
  25. Yeah, but Pixar can pretty much do anything.
