A bit off topic, but you just made my day with this comment, apparently my favourite movie of all time came out on my birthday (A fair few years before, but still)! :D I have been trying and failing to connect 4 of the 2012 Batcaves together for a while now with lots of grey bricks and the large rock pieces, so I concur. The '66 cave was still just a rather over done playset and failed as an actual "cave" imo.

There's a fairly expensive set in the upcoming Han Solo line that people are speculating to be a system scale Falcon, but it is by no means confirmed.

Well, now that I've seen the TLJ wave up close, I know that I can safely leave them on the shelf and keep my money for the Falcon. :D

I think it's mounted on one of those 2 x 2 tiles with a single, central stud.. so, unlikely I fear. Also means that it's slightly out of scale with a minifigure too. This is such a minor gripe though, I won't care when this thing is sat on my kitchen table! :D

While I agree that it'll be nice to talk about something else, what exactly is more interesting than a freaking UCS Falcon?

Shame that the top hatch is just a round tile, was hoping that it would be able to be opened. Freaking amazing looking model though! :D

Sorry if I caused you a headache man, not my intention. Personally, I don't think that a FO TIE Microfighter would be all that unexpected, seeing as we have had the resistance counterpart in the form of an X-Wing recently. Still curious as to why LEGO chose Grievous' speeder from that one CW arc, it's quite possibly the least memorable vehicle I've ever seen. Extremely excited to get a Mace Windu figure though, as I missed out on the previous one.

I like your point about indirect sales, if it is indeed the Falcon it will draw all sorts of attention to LEGO stores anyway.. a kid just has to say to their Dad "Hey, shall we just go and look at the Falcon?" and you have potential customers in the door. I think that depending on how well this set is done, it could mean either a very shrewd decision on the part of LEGO, or a very, very poor one if done badly. September 1st will indeed be a very fun day for Star Wars and LEGO fans alike.

This ^ very often on eBay you get people trying to clear out their old collections. If you can filter out all the re-sellers there are some good deals to be had.

It's in almost exactly the same place as the TFA Falcon's cockpit is on its box.

However, if it refers to the price, it would be £109.99 x 4.86 = £534.50. Assuming a licensing cost on top of that, we can assume it would be about £600, which was how much it was rumoured to cost.
