  1. This is really great! Nice work! I like the details like the coat and the paper towel roll in the kitchen. I also really like your parking tower on your MOC page. Do you usually keep your models long term? JFG
  2. Thanks for the answer! So they "close" with a space of a tile between them? Do they work with a "standard" Technic pin? The two round parts don't really look symmetrical?
  3. Hi, I am trying to rebuilt some sets from the Classic Space era, and I have two questions... What would be the best replacement (in term of functonnality and available on Pick-a-Brick, but I don't need the same length) for the 'Hinge Plate 2 x 9 (Complete Assembly Shortcut)' (3324c01). Is Medium Stone Grey the closest color to the OldGray color of Classic Space models (like 6970-1: Beta-1 Command Base)? Thanks! JFG
  4. Hi! I'm trying to rebuild sets from my blocks, so I try to identify the sets from special blocks. I'm looking for the names of those four pieces... The car grill looks like 'Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille Chrome' (3010p20c) but there are no blocks that are 1 x 6 with that print. Thanks! JF
  5. Thanks for the help! It is a sticker, and I had not thought that it could be on a different tile. It must come from the 6372-1: Town House, because we have a big green plate like the one from this set. JF
  6. Hi, I'm currently trying to rebuild sets from our big box of Legos. I found a tile that I cannot identify. The pic is here : http://imgur.com/KFwnCz6 It's probably this one : 3068bp93 : Tile 2 x 2 with 3 Black Dots Pattern, but peeron.com doesn't have a set where it would be included. Is there a better source to try to get that info? Thanks JFG
  7. I really like all your photos! I'm separating my copy of the Beta-1 Command Base from our big Lego drawer, and I have less luck than you. Many small pieces are lost, many plates broken because the plastic is really brittle... I'm sure your trio of spaceships will look great!
  8. Thanks for the explanation, it was very helpful! JFG So I could enter the number of the parts in the textbox instead of finding them in the submenus. Pure laziness on my part! Thanks! JFG
  9. Hi, I'm trying to make a model of the Space Shuttle 3367, using the part list in the instructions, but the numbers are different than the numbers in the LDD. For exemple, the 1x12 plate is given as 4514842, while in LDD, it's 60479. Is there a translation guide somewhere? Thanks JFG
  10. Hi! I'm new to MLCAD too. You can find a good list of LDraw files on www.cubiculus.com if you're more interested in playing with the models than in building them. I haven't found one, but I have noticed that when you change the grid (Corse, Medium, Fine), the angle of rotation for the six "Rotate" button also changes. For the Fine Grid, the angle is 15 degrees. Lower than that, and you probably have to use Edit -> Rotate -> Keyboard, which is not user-friendly and isn't supported by the Undo Function. If you want to rotate several pieces, you should make a model with them, then import it in the big model, and try to rotate it there.
  11. Yes, so there is no way to rotate several pieces at the same time in a complex model, but I understand now that the software is not designed to work this way. - You must build piece by piece, and flip the view when necessary (View Angle --> Top or Bottom) - You must use a model for each "part", for exemple one for the ship and one for the base. Regarding the different views, for the bricks below, there is no way to select them all in any view, you must use the list of parts. Thanks!
  12. I have a "stack" of two 1x2 plates connected on only one "stud". On the top-down pane (x-z), I can select both pieces and move them around. If I put them exactly on one another, the selection only works on the top one. Is there a way to select both? Am I missing something? Thanks!
  13. Yes, that was it! Thank you!
  14. I have seen a post (on another site) claiming that there are instructions for new models made with different MINI Star Wars Sets. These instructions were on the Lego Club website. Do they exist? How can we access them? Thanks!
  15. Sorry, I missed the "squigly" lines in the index. You can update at your pace, I'm in no hurry! Thanks
  16. Hi, I'm playing around with the MINI STAR WARS sets made by ADHO15. The 4486 MINI AT-ST & Snowspeeder doesn't open in LEGO Digital Designer 4. (Link) (Unable to load file, Parsing of the file was aborted due to an error in the file) Am I the only one to have this problem? I would appreciate it if one of you could check it... Thanks
