I got out of my dark ages when I discovered the new studless technic LEGO and dived into that. Over the course of time, I realized that the best models are those that combine technic with regular bricks. Unfortunately, these are scarce. In fact, to the best of my knowledge, JKBrickworks are perhaps the only designers that do this. Since I have developed some skills and designs in technic, I am now focusing on regular bricks. See for example the Tauntaun and the fish. Hopefully, later on, I find inspiration ( and acquire the bricks ) on how to join technic and regular bricks.
