If you want to reduce some cost, i did the following. So far 60% built, and it looks ok. - The body is mainly constructed by plates in various size and 1x4 modified bricks, in black/tan/brown. So, all these parts can be replaced by any colours that you have. They are hardly seen outside. - Interior is mainly dbg tiles, and exterior is mainly lbg and very little tan colour. If you don't need interior, you can replace most of the parts with any colour, and ignore those dbg tiles. If you need interior, you need to have dbg tiles. - The engine is partly constructed 88930 slope. You can replaced with 15068 x 2 with some random plates, if you find hard to find the slope. - The body is not modular, it is not possible to open up to admire. So the body interior is not important, unless you choose to install the light. Those inverted tiles can cut at least half quantity. - The lbg inverted tile is located at the bottom of the ship. They are not easily seen and can be added easily in future. I think can ignore them at the moment, until the part get more common and cheaper. - If you do not need the stand, can ignore quite a lot of parts. - If you have your spare parts sorted, you can build them according to your available plates. The body is constructed by mixed of 20+ level of stacked plates/ modified bricks. I think it can be replaced by any size of plates that you have, and it will still be very solid. By doing these, I can salvage about 90% of the parts from my spares. It took me less than $100 to collect the remaining (assuming you have the cockpit). Parts that are important are - lbg slopes 50950, 15068, 93606 - lbg tiles in different size, 22385, 27263 - cockpit, parts from the rear engine. - lbg hose

It is very costly to do this, I doubt plastics toys worth to do that. A fig that cost 100bucks in BL, would have the same material cost for producing a cheap city fig.

Production line can be automated, but definitely there are manual machines for engineering prototyping / tests or small quantity build, before it can be transferred into fully automated.

I have some of those. They are all printed with lego wording. If they are from China 3rd party, the quantity would have much much more than what is available now. If someone can easily print lego wording on parts, well known knock off brands would have done so for their products since day 1. My guess is done by night shift worker, just like some BL sellers can sell specific minifig from official lego set in bulk quantity and you are sure they wont part out that quantity of the set.

May I know how’s the light bricks work? Seem that it needs 4. They will light up together or have to individually pressed?

If I dont care about interior, is it colour other than LBG can be substituted by any colour? Stand excluded as well.

Seem that you are using 3rd party bricks to construct people MOC, and still do some posting on original creator page? I just feel something not right. No offend.

Extending the pin means replacing the pin (4274) with pin (6558), when connecting to the bricks in step 699. For step 488, i dint change anything. I find it easier to build directly onto the ship piece by piece, instead of building the panel separately and mount on it after completion.

If you took 45min on step 488, you probably took 90mins each on step 699 and 714. And they going to drop down when you fix step 801. :) I end up mod a bit and extend the pins to hold it more firmly.

The pictures are in the Bricklink. Part 58247 and 57889 I am quite firm that I have "©" on the trigger like photo in bricklink, so, should be genuine Lego part. Thanks for the info..

Anyone knows if SW short blaster (BL no: 58247) from older sets as "Lego" wording on it? I received some parts from BL order that looks exactly the same as the 58247 bricklink photo, which without "Lego" wording, and only has "C" wording on it. It is genuine Lego parts? As far as I know, all SW blasters from recent sets are with "Lego" wording. Similar question to part SW long blaster 57899, is it genuine Lego parts if without "Lego" wording just like the bricklink photo?
