Heartlake Heartbreak - Day One: Heart to Heart
Darkdragon replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
OK, I'll play along. I'm an innocent Townie. Am I lying, doctor? What? Me too. My favorite types are bendy or twisty. And I like sucking milk shakes. Good to hear that you're noyt crazy. Now, what the megabluck are you talking about? Excuse my potty mouth. I learned English from the internet. I'm interested, but if they're non-sprinkled, then they're just vomit inducing and that doesn't sound fun. I think you should fully explain what the hell you've been talking about. OK, horse-mind-reader, what was their motive? Don't let it vex you for too long. I don't think it's anything meant for you to mull over for too long. What is this? Is this your first day at life? What are you expecting? God to come down and point the finger at a Scum and say "Vote for this person!" You think someone has info to share on Day One? What a very odd thing for you to say. Oh, what's this? A note! That's weird. Some invisible lady has a thing for hedgehogs. I'd like to hear more about that too. Ping. I didn't ignore it! Hedgehogs are notoriously observant! Nobody is denying the accuracy of the statement. I just wanted to point out that the futility of pointing out the obvious could be that you are in a different mindset than the Town. I think the Town should note that. If you're Scum, just ignore it. It's hard to breath in all the shit you're stirring for yourself here... -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day One: Heart to Heart
Darkdragon replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Recovered Posts (in order of entry) Why are you so eager to vote yet? Do you have any clues who has killed our beloved horses? Or do you just want to start off some scummy move? Heh? You make strange announcements. Are you sure you are a doctor? Maybe you are in need of one. I was looking at your firm black ... hide earlier and could see just how tense you are. Why don't we go somewhere a little quieter and enjoy a bit of comfort in these trying times. I'm a law enforcement official. Making sure things are coming along alright is my whole bag. Are you suggesting not voting? It's the law that we do so. And on top of that, it's common sense. We have nothing to go on in future days without a voting record. And by all means, as we have nothing to go on, the sooner we get it started, the more time we'll have to get feedback from everyone else and try to work things in a sensible direction, if that's possible. Or maybe that's just the donuts and coffee talking. I love it when people talk to me and tell me things! You can call me Danny, Dan, Dansmith, Cutie, Horsey, Adorable, Late to Dinner, or any combination of names! You're the best! I am of somewhat the same mind. It's hard to tell whether she's being serious or just babbling. If it's the former, why has she said anything? Baking's the kind of thing one ought to keep to oneself and after time to those one trusts. It's most certainly not the sort of thing one states in public though. If it's the later, then why has she said anything of this sort at all. Things are serious now. 2 of my best friends are dead! A bit of joking and chatter is fine and expected, but giving us all false hope just makes me sad and confused. I am somewhat inclined to believe it is the later, but it's still very confusing. My first thought was that she's just young, and doesn't really know what it is she can do. On the off-chance that she's telling the truth, I'd like to propose this idea to everyone again , since it was ignored the first time: everyone say "I'm innocent" publicly. Like this: I'm innocent If she has a lie-detector, she'll be able to check any of us anytime. That's the law and order way to do these things. And it's the least you can do while you're not voting. Please. I walked right into that one; it is not however impossible (however unlikely) that last night's murders were committed by 1 individual acting on behalf of others (as it has been seen in these games of life), and therefore my "killer vs. Killers" reference is accurate. I understand the need to explore every little detail on the first day but know this; I love horses, they are my bread and butter without them there is no me and without me there is no them winning races; they need me as much as I need them and I would NEVER EVER hurt a horse, or a human for that matter. While I think she's just babbling, I agree that taking chances is ill-advised: I am a Townie. I am innocent. -

"Hybros, I'm not so sure about leaving a man behind. What if something happens to him? What if something happens to us without him to aid? One essense will always heal one team member, so why leave him here?" Cinna searches the room with her first turn for the round. -
I take care of my precious torsos. They are all precious, I even have classic space with gold print.
-
For MK, no. Reason is that the enchantment risk (eating all the ether) is a good offset. My totally unbiased opinion.
-
Just because. I don't want a level 10 weapon...not really sure why but it bothers me. I'm sure I'll figure out why later.

If she ends up with Enchantment, Cinna will enchant Naginata this round. If she has no ether on second turn, Cinna will attack Cave Dragon with Mauryl from the back row. -

Day One: Heart to Heart "Good morning everyone. The time has come to find those responsible for killing our horses. You've all been given your duties, I am expecting this to be solved quickly and efficiently. Don't let me down or the guard dogs will have a word with too...and they don't talk." "What about the event and preparations, dear?" "Of course that will continue. I'll be working around the stables, still getting things ready. I expect every staff member to keep doing their job here, in addition to finding the killers." "Will there be a bonus then?" "You'll still have a job, Jimmy. I think that's a great reward in these hard times. Don't you agree?" "Yes ma'am." "Now, if there are no more questions..." "Good. Let's get started then." Whether you are still playing or have already died, if you are contacted inappropriately, please notify the host immediately. Violation of this rule will result in instant mod-kill and probably something worse after the game. You may not edit your posts. Editing your post will result in a 2-vote penalty. VOTING THREAD Voting Rules: Only members who joined before the official start of the contest (3 Nov. 2012) may vote. Members who joined after that date are not eligible to vote. You may not vote for yourself. You will have three (3) points to allocate. These can be divided any way you like between 1-3 entries. You may give all three points to one entry, 2 to one entry and 1 to another, or 1 to three different entries. Votes must be in the proper format. This makes it easier for votes to be tallied. The format is the Entry Number followed by the Entrant's Username, a dash and then the Number of Points allocated. Here are a few examples:42 by Hinckley - 3 points OR 86 by Rufus - 2 points 57 by WhiteFang - 1 point You may, of course, follow up with why you voted for those particular entries. People like to be told why they are awesome. Once you have voted, please do not edit the post in which you did so. It may have already been tallied and it could be seen as trying to manipulate the vote. An entry should win based on it's own merits. This isn't a popularity contest. Attempts to campaign for votes either on this site or elsewhere will not be tolerated. You may put a small picture of your entry in your signature as a way of promoting but that's as far as you should go. After seven (7) days of voting, the votes will be tallied by staff and the results will be announced shortly after. Be patient. We're volunteers. Above all, play fair. Cheaters will be tarred, feathered, ridiculed, and then disqualified. Staff reserves the right to disqualify entries if it discovers a form of cheating not covered in these rules. There's one more thing. By voting, you'll be registered in a raffle to win one of these four Super Hero minifigs: That's right, four of you lucky voters will win a cool minifig! If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host using your role PM. All other forms of communications will be ignored. Since some people have asked, I will go ahead and clarify a couple points about the rules. This rule is completely valid and in force. I will not be changing any rules for any reason. Everything has been laid out since the Confirmation & Discussion thread went up and if you had a question or issue with any rule, you should have addressed it with me before Day One started. There was plenty of time for any perceived problems to be brought to my attention at that time. It appears that some folks are concerned about two of the rules in particular, so I will clarify them for you all right now. Just to make sure you completely understand. I don't want anyone to be confused by any of the rules, and if you have questions feel free to ask here or via PM. Some people seem to be confused as to why Day One was closed "early". It's pretty clear right here in the rule that once the majority is reached the day is over. Obviously, if majority vote happens while I am not around I won't be able to tally and lock the thread. I will not be locking the thread retroactively and deleting posts, so expect things to happen just as they did yesterday: If there is a majority vote when I am available to tally the votes, the day is over and the thread will be locked. Another rule people seem to be struggling to understand for some reason. The penalty for not voting is incurred against players who fail to vote on a day where a conviction isn't reached. I know this is obvious to most of you, but there have been a few questions, so I thought I'd clear that up. I thought it would be obvious, but just to make sure this is also clear: keep in mind that if you unvote, it is the same as not voting at all. I hope any misunderstandings have been cleared up now, this isn't rocket science Have fun everyone! The Players Oscar (Hinckley) Oscar's family has lived on the Heartlake Stables land for nearly twenty generations, long before humans settled the area. He is a very clever Hedgehog and has spent his life learning the ways of the humans and animals that come and go on his family's land. Wild Dragon (Dragonator) Wild Dragon has been a racehorse practically since the day he was born. That was many year ago though, and this champion has arrived at Heartlake Stables for his final race. In his prime, he won nearly every race. His last three races though, he's been upstaged by a young stallion. Dansmith IV (Dannylonglegs) Dansmith IV was born and bred to be a champion racehorse, and has been doing a good job fulfilling his role in life. This will be his fourth race at the big Heartlake Championship Race & Show. He has no doubt he will win, no horse has beat him yet. Patty (DarthPotato) Patty is a beautiful show horse. Bred to be the perfect specimen of the modern [horse]. Her white coat glistens in the sunlight and she radiates beauty. Carl (CallMePie) Carl is Julia's loving, devoted husband of 15 years. His day job is in business, mostly trading high-risk stocks in the Heartlake Financial District. For the last five years, he takes the week off work to help his wife prepare for and run the annual horse show and race. Walter (WaterbrickDown) Walter has been groundskeeper here at Heartlake Stables for over ten years. He knows the grounds better than anyone and takes pride in keeping them looking their best. Unlike some of the staff, he keeps the place looking tops even when there isn't a big show or rich folks to impress. Dave (Piratedave84) Dave is probably the best jockey in the business. Everyone knows that he means business and does not back down in a race. He treats the horse with respect but is not afraid to use the crop when required. He always has a shiny red apple for a deserving horse. Fred (def) Not much is known about Fred because he just joined the force last week, but he is eager to serve and protect. Cece (Cecilie) Cece is the daugher of the Heartlake Stables owners. She was raised around horses and helps to run the show every year. She's been the student body president at her school since the 8th grade and homecoming queen every year since she started highschool. Everyone loves Cece. Daisy (Scubacarrot) Daisy is not only the top animal groomer in the area, she is also the full-time groomer for Heartlake Stables. There's nothing she likes more than making animals look their best, except perhaps teaching others the fine art of grooming. She also runs a grooming training camp for underprivileged girls in a nearby town. Trisha (TrumpetKing67) Trisha is the top veterinarian in the city. After moving here a few years ago, she has helped many of Heartlake's animal friends recover and stay healthy. Everyone in the city loves her and her office is always busy. She's also known for creating new medicines and bandaging techniques to quicken recovery and even help older animals with better alertness. Ginny (Captain Genaro) Ginny is new to being a jockey, and to the horsey lifestyle. She seems eager to prove her worth though. It's too bad about the horse she was scheduled to ride having been killed. Tammy (Tamamono) Tammy has worked hard in the jockey circle to come up from nothing. Now she is riding one of the most promising horses in the business. Horse owners are keeping sharp eye on her for possible recruitment to get their own horses into the winners circle. Penny (VolcanicPanik) Penny is tough broad. Sharp as a tack though, the Lieutenant is known throughout Heartlake as one that solves crimes. No matter how large or small the case may be, she always finds a way to get it closed. Shadell (Shadows) Shadell is the middle daughter of the Dasseurobrik family. One of the oldest and most powerful families in Heartlake, the Dasseurobriks control mining operations throughout the surrounding area, providing all of the coal used to power the city. Shadell herself spends most of her time abroad, but always comes home to enjoy the annual horse show. Billie (badboytje88) Billie is young but influential. Her last husband died suddenly in an accident over the Rocky Mountains during a helicopter trip. She was grief-stricken, but managed to take over his multi-million dollar tech firm in uptown Heartlake and keep his memory alive. Amy (iamded) Amy is the owner of Wild Dragon, the winner of the Heartlake Race the past four years in a row. She has been coming to the race with him for seven years now, and is always willing to help out the owners of the stables in any way she can. Katie (PsyKater) Katie is another new one to the crowd, but her horse has been winning races since they came onto the scene. She's young but seems to really know what she's doing. Zara (zakura) Zara is a bit out there in terms of personality, but everyone seems to like her. She can usually be found talking to the groomer about keeping coats shiny. Heather (fhomess) Heather just arrived this morning from a far off town. Riding the bus to Heartlake didn't seem to dampen her spirits, and she was an instant hit with the animals. Matilda (Zepher) The ever present help, Matilda has worked for the owners of Heartlake Stables for over 25 years now. She cooks, cleans, and even took care of Cece when Cece was a wee child. Sara (TheBoyWonder) Sara is a great mechanic and has worked on everything from the family toaster to the RV engine. Anytime something breaks down, she's called right away. Jane (JackJonespaw) Jane is arguably the best horse trainer in the area. She always seems to be on top of new developments and her horses win. It can take months to get even one session with her. Jimmy (JimButcher) He's young and small, but he does what it takes to get the job done. Everyone in the stables knows the animals will always be kept fed and stalls clean when Jimmy is on the job. Mike (Bob) When driving on the highway, nobody want's to see Mike's lights light up behind them. He's one tough cop and he doesn't even care when women cry.
