Heroica RPG - Quest #27: Badger Badger Badger
Darkdragon replied to Darkdragon's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Alright, well in that case I must be going. Remember to watch your bags here." The party heads back downstairs, nobody has come or gone in the short amount of time they were upstairs. They find Eric sitting at a table eating and drinking, he hardly takes any notice of them as they sit down at the table. Tesni pulls out the scroll tube, wondering where they are to go next. That's when she notices the name and address engraved on it's side. Sir Favarious Kelram, Mistaria What will the party do now? -
Yes, the movies/toys are a fad. Of course the books are classics but people don't make toys or buy toys based off books (generally speaking).

I'm not sure how you can even start to compare these two themes. Friends is meant for girls who are not yet "into" lego, and for introducing cute new animals and other fun things, special colors, etc. Lord of the Rings is a license based on a move for teens and adults and consists of mostly tans and grays, and most of the characters are male or monstrous. I think that without even comparing the two for benefits or shortcomings, Friends will last longer because it is created to last longer and not tied to any fad or license.

All the little details and the overall styling of this is just great. I'm so surprised it didn't get as much attention as it deserved in 2010. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] I'm told it is ok to raise this old thread because it is so cool.

Today is Sacha's 12th birthday. Her parents are both working hard in the heart of Gotham, so she celebrates with a party. All her stuffed animal friends, her dog Wolfie, and her cat Stripes are there to celebrate with her. Nobody brought presents, but she found some fun cupcakes in the kitchen. I didn't buy any of these parts for this, I already have them. However, I will include what it would cost to build via Bricklink purchases. Hair: $0.75 Head: $2 Torso: $20 Legs: $0.80 Total: $23.55

That is simply not possible.

All very valid. You could take Brasso to the back Also you don't have the green one?

Yeah of course, no problem. I had originally thought he was more suspicious than Robbins based on what he was saying and how he seemed to be trying and stop people from giving any accusations at all and not saying anything other than about coffee and washing (roleplaying). I'd even already said that I suspected him moreso than Robbins a few pages back, and even though I do feel that Robbins is a strong candidate for being scum, I don't think I should vote for him over my first choice at this point - I don't want to fall into a bandwagon mentality or secondguess myself yet. That said, I do think that Robbins is either scum or a totally useless townie who is going to get too many of us killed (by gaining all the townie focus and thus letting scum slip by unnoticed) if he is not lynched or killed very soon.

Vote: Lt. Joshua Wright (AwesomeStar)

Just a quick note to say that I've updated my list with quite a few figs from Series 1 through Series 6. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=52683&view=findpost&p=1052475 -
Heroica RPG - Quest #27: Badger Badger Badger

He walks over to a large chest at the end of the bed, unlocks and opens it. After searching through for a moment he pulls out a packaged wrapped in plain parchment and tied up with a string. Taking the receipt from Tesni and handing her the package, he gives a wily grin. "Well, I guess that settles it then. I'll be glad to get out of this place, I've customers waiting in much cleaner places. I'll tell you something, no extra charge, don't stay here. I've already had things go missing from my room, luckily the thieves couldn't get into the chest because it's protected by magic. This whole town is rotten with criminals." With that he shuts and locks the chest. "Is there anything else I can do for you? I'm very good at locating items if you are in need of something special." -
oh, my bad then. You're awesome. (no seriously, I mean it).

Next year we should remember to ask for more table space. I was going to put some more stuff there but man was the table crammed full. And to think I was worried about being able to fill it initially (since so few of us were comeing to BW). In the end it did turn out great and I think its really cool that you guys were interviewed. I wonder where I was when that happened...oh well, I'm super camera-shy.

"Oh of course, being careful is very important. The only client I have in Eubric right now is Began Drakes. He notified me that a small group from Heroica would be coming to pick up a package for him and that they would have the receipt as proof." -
I don't think that Robbins has been attacked much at all, except that initial Janitor-is-a-janitor thing that was pretty much dropped right away. Wright on the other hand seems to be getting scrutinized more all the time and I for one think we are on the right track here. Every time you say something, Wright, you just look more and more guilty. You didn't realize tensions were high? Really? How is that even possible to not notice. This is a life and death situation we have here.

The man leads the party up the stairs into the inn. He stops halfway down a musty hallway and unlocks a door. Opening it, he reveals he is leading them to a small room. It seems tidy enough but there is an overall lack of comfort and safety in the room, it smells slightly of wood rot and the bars on the window do nothing to easy the mind. "No need to be so nervous, I'm a businessman not a scoundrel." He chuckles before poking his head out the door and closing it tightly. "I just try to keep my business a little quiet, never know who's listening around here. I trust you have the required paperwork?" -
You can always find instructions for purchase on Bricklink, and (I have not checked for the set you mention) you can download PDF instructions directly from Lego.com under Support/Instructions

It was great to see this finished at Brickworld. I wish they had an Architecture category, you would have definitely won that one.

The problem is: today what can we actually base accusations on other than someone's reaction to being accused? If you have an idea on how to find out some actual facts today, I'm all eyes.
-
Yeah good point. Other factions could be scum or town then perhaps. Hmm, but on the other hand it might be a bit early to concentrate all of our efforts on this. Like Falcon said, probably more important trying to find out who is actually Purists and get rid of them first, while keeping on the look out for other factions.

"Eubric, you say? Well I might just have what you are looking for. Not here though." He looks around again at the other patrons, then downs the rest of his drink. Setting the mug on his table he stands up. "If you'll follow me?" -
Very impressive. All the little details you put in really capture the scene from the movie as I remember it.
