This is the truth. I just sent something out yesterday, the smallest packet and cost to the UK is now $14.50. The worldwide market is becoming less and less feasible.

Suckers! But yes, anything to save a step is helpful. Time is money! Anyone saying sorting by hand is free has a lot more free time than I do.

I'd like a small machine, no bigger than a home bread machine that would sort by color. I like to sort by type and by color within type It would great to dump all my 1x1 round plates into a machine and have it sort those by color so i could bag them up separately. Also if it could count too. Let's not turn this thread into a "how to sort" or argument over sorting by color or type issues. There's already a place for those discussions.

FABUpunk! Mafia II Sign-ups
Darkdragon replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
What is your favorite FABULAND animal? Monkey Should LEGO bring FABULAND back? No, they'd mess it up What is your least favorite Mafia role? (Can either be a generic role you don't like to see including in games or a specific experience in a game) It's a tossup between bulletproof survivor and treestump that cheats -
FABUPUNK Mafia! Conclusion—Heresy!
Darkdragon replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That makes perfect sense of course and viewing it as the host or as a dead player it seems perfectly clear. As a living player with no idea how/why on game mechanics, it's not really clear to us at all and that's why I had brought it up. Even in my game, players were getting pretty mad that the last day happened - they didn't know the mechanics behind why and I realized that and tried not to take it too hard when they got mad (though it did make me question things and I had to make sure I was not making a mistake) - it all becomes clear to everyone at the end. So when I brought it up in the game I only had the information I had, tried not making any assumptions or getting upset at the host over something (that i couldn't fully understand yet) not being fair. For all I knew, it was part of the setup that the town find the trickster and keep him/her alive long enough to get all the actions we needed to find scum. That doesn't seem broken, just another thing to figure out. If this doesn't happen to the host at least once per game, is it even mafia? To be fair, bob said it was insulting to the host and you said it was a broad assumption, both comments together triggered me which is why I included both. -

@Bob & @Hinckley Is this about my post on day 3? I notice you guys didn't bring it up here in the conclusion. Broad assumption? What else would a person have to go on? Now it's insulting to post thoughts and ideas and play the game with the information we have? A lot of insulting things happen in these games and I'd say ruminating about how things will go if we lynch the only way we know of to get actions is the least insulting thing that a person could post. Not pleased. Not pleased at all. -
FABUPUNK Mafia! Conclusion—Heresy!

I liked the idea a lot. I know if I was scum there are some ways I though of to take advantage of the setup. They didn't seem to do much with it, but like you said it's pretty different concepts for EB. I think making the trickster an absorber hurt that character a bit though there were some ways to talk us out of the Lynch possibly. Could the town have won with the trickster alive? -

Great game, fun setup, lots of fun comics Omrom is so adorable. Once it was apparent that the town had only trickster roles I felt like the game was very scum leaning, but we did a good job picking them out just from posts. I guess it all worked great in the end Thanks for hosting! -
End of an Era on LEGO CMFs reviewing for WhiteFang
Darkdragon replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well it's not just this incident, they have new community management and have been pulling out of supporting anything that isn't trendy social media. Giving away a few boxes of CMF or a few sets for early reviews is not very expensive for them from a marketing standpoint. The new team doesn't want to support forums at all anymore even though Eurobricks always gave them the top level of support that any fansite could. It is very disappointing to see things change, but that's the way of the world. Change or die, I suppose. -

This is a very sad thing to see. I think TLG needs some sense knocked into them over it, honestly. You said it! -
I love everything about it, but that play kitchen is simply awesome! nice job.

Not an illegal technique. They've used it in modulars in recent years. -
Very nice, love the tree. Been trying to find a way to do bulbous trees like that myself, never thought to use those slopes!

Blood in the Grass: Conclusion
Darkdragon replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I don't mean to pick on the vig but I think that if the investigator (dietician) hadn't been killed on the first night this would have gone a lot different. Scum might still have won but i don't think it would have been such and insane blowout of death after death. Removing the only investigate action on night 1 really caused a major problem for the town and I don't think that is a fault with the game layout. I think these things happen sometimes, dumb luck that causes the whole game to weigh over to one side. I checked the stats on this layout and it was similar to any other layout as far as what team wins on average. I feel that the scum team deserves a lot of credit for never really getting put under any scrutiny, specifically Fazit was even being defended still on the dead board - so obviously the win wasn't just dumb luck. I was a bit leery to run a game with so few town roles and so many killing roles, but I figured it might be a fun fast game and you can't deny it was fast! I think if I were to run a similar game in the future I'd maybe trim one of the SK abilities and add an extra role such as tracker or watcher to the town. I'm not a numbers person so i didn't want to mess with the wiki layout much at all, I did feel the scum should not know the role of a kill - based on how games are played here - which is why I removed it. When using the wiki to plan games, which I think is a fine way to go, it is important to know how games are played here vs how they are played there and adjust as needed before the game starts. I also really rather host with a partner, hosting by myself is insanely stressful - especially when all the best players/hosts are playing the game and I can't get opinions fairly. -

Oh neat, molding accidents. Reddish streaks are very useful. You might offer them up on Bricklink in the forums for store credit, some folks collect those. -

Blood in the Grass: Conclusion
Darkdragon replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yeah that would have been fun. Even then, there were more great players dying than day to award. Also it would have been bad if the scum only killed rewardees after they got the reward, even if it wasn't planned that way by them. I mean, would have been bad for the host. -

Game Details The way the game was created was in this order Chose format (Donner Party) Wrote film Created film & Minfig characters Randomly generated background info for characters Randomly assigned characters to players Randomly assigned roles to characters I did everything in that order so that nothing would affect my subconscious while writing character bios or doing any of the filming. I love the way the characters turned out. Unfortunately due to time constraints I had to cut a few great lines from the animation. I was just dead and couldn't animate it anymore. I hope y'all enjoyed the film though. Full Film Script: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1URZT0bZAjaudybnpHswQzdtnwYjggjDV/view?usp=sharing -
Congrats to the Raiders, Scum team Fazit & Quinn! Thank you everyone for playing! I hope you had fun. I really am happy with so much roleplaying and I wish so many of the people I wanted to award hadn't died! Basically everyone did an awesome job and it was a pleasure to host. Anyone can post in this thread, you can use game or regular account too.
