Is there any news on the snowflakes front? "hint hint"

I dont think there's a right or wrong answer. We don't keep any boxes and only keep one set of instructions in a filing cabinet for any set. Only a few sets have been built and kept as-is, such as the Green Grocer, Town Plan, ImperiL Flagship and tower crane. We do have some duplicates though. Others have been built and then disassembled for parts, which is primarily why we bought them.

Pinky came across the end of a box of S2 minifigs. Unfortunately most of the good figures were apparently taken, but we thought we'd offer them up for sale at cost (£2) plus p&p before taking the remainder back for refund. Up for grabs are: 5 lifeguards 6 weightlifters [1x reserved] 5 mimes 10 judo guys 2 skiiers 7 policemen 3 surfers 2 ringmasters 3 popstars [3x reserved] 1 pharoah 1 explorer We'll be returning the rest of the figures in a couple of weeks.

Following on from last week's swap at Westfield, we suggested the next would be at Bluewater. In the same format as last time: 1pm outside the Lego store in Bluewater shopping centre on Sunday 6 February. Shopping time then head for a drink somewhere to swap? Please give an idea of what you are particularly looking for and what you may have to trade. Pinky and I are pretty recognisable: I'm the short half Chinese girl, he's the guy (probably in a hoody) with bright pink hair! Note: we'll try to arrange the next Westfield swap for the first weekend in March!

I really enjoyed this competition, both getting creative with my first MOC and also seeing the amazing designs everyone else came up with! Next time I need to give myself time to do my photos properly though...

Was really great to meet you both today! What do you think about monthly swap meets, alternating between Westfields and Bluewater? Second Sunday of the month?

Nova and Pinky

My main character's screen name in Eve Online was Nova Z, which ofc was always abreviated to 'Nova' in conversation. Pinky always refers to me as his little star, so I have always joined subsequent forums and games under the name NovaStar (cue mass 'awh' ) (Nothing to do with the european pop star!)

Is there anything in particular anyone is looking for? Not sure what is really useful to bring to swaps?

Amps - I started a new thread in the Events section for this so it can be discussed there properly Pinky and I will be driving over from Mitcham if anyone wants a lift from the general SW area! Re Minifig Series 3 dots - we bought some a couple of weeks ago from Bluewater, and I had no problems in identifying 3 out of 3 packets from the dots. I've got the cheat sheet on my ipad so I've always got it to hand

Splitting out from the discussion started in the UK Sales thread - anyone else interested in meeting at 1pm outside LEGO Westfield on Sunday?

That's pretty much what Pinky always says - it's often those who are least happy, who are most negative about others...

I dont think Lego is any more nerdy than games consoles or online mmo games, but its probably a little more unusual for girls to play with both. That said, i infinitely prefer spending my money on Lego than many other things and I take some pride in being a self confessed girlgeek (Pinky and I 'met' in Eve Online...)
