  1. Some countries are cheaper than others for shipping. Poland is generally one of the cheapest I've found. Small packets can be ok...large packages can be quite expensive, especially from the UK. On another note...I updated the Fairview PAB inventory on Brickbldr...
  2. This is beautiful...I love the dragon and the "stepping" of the neck.
  3. Good MOC...but I'm wondering if you could bring it to the next level by changing it to an 8-wide vehicle, with the same height to capture the proportions better.
  4. This is nice. Can you post a bill of materials, and instructions to make it? ...just kidding. Beautiful work. I really like how you captured so many elements of life while still maintaining the sense of openness of the forest. Great scale on the trees - they're huge!!
  5. No...you cannot buy all of the bricks, as some of them are not available anymore like the dark blue arch, or the white hose in the Market Square...hence the $23 price tag on BL. I got all the dark red parts off of a combination of Lego customer support, and BL (many parts are MUCH cheaper on BL...it just takes a lot of time to do the research). The other thing to note is, that if you are buying a lot of parts that can be had on the Shop@Home Pick A Brick thing, they will tell you to go there instead of going through the phone service. They will also only allow for something like 10-15 items searched on the phone, unless you have the element IDs handy (not the BL part numbers). Going by email, they have no facility to confirm what you ordered if you have a big list, so it's a bit of a crap shoot what you'll get, given you're sending them just element IDs for larger orders.
  6. WOW...incredible. On its own without zombies, the arc is stunning. Beautifully sculpted...with the zombie scene...it's amp'd up that little bit more. I like the touch of the survivalist garden at the top. Very nice!
  7. I've done the same thing as you with S@H customer service for the rare dark red parts, and didn't bother with the booklet or box. I'm still working on the dark blue parts!!
  8. ...don't forget the Pet Shop and Town Hall now!! I think the Green Grocer and Grand Emporium are the tops!
  9. This looks good...totally recognizable. Like others have said, a smaller or "zoomed out" picture would show the image better. The larger or more zoomed in it is, it becomes more "pixelated" and not as nice to look at unless you add in more subtle shading which is hard to do at the size, and also with availability of some rare and expensive colours(e.g. sand red, dark red, reddish brown AND regular brown, etc)...unless you want to take that on as a challenge... ;) Good job!
  10. Amazing video...amazing story. The nice thing is they did this with the known risk of not being able to retrieve the cameras or anything. Very clever work.
  11. ...sure it could...if it was mine...Mine...MIIIINE!!! Just kidding...this is supreme awesomeness on so many levels. I love the shape and look of the alien, the road, the selection and posing of the minifigs...truly FANTASTIC!!
  12. I think you might be one of the only people to use the bump codes!! Feeling is much faster than trying to figure out the bump codes, especially with variances in batch numbers. Once you figure out the accessories to feel for, you can eliminate things pretty quickly when working through a box going by feel.
  13. They had the CMF's behind the counter when I was there for Series 5...so never bothered going there...I hadn't factored in the loyalty points in the equation...hmmmm...I should have I guess. :(
  14. Just got my series 6 CMF's in Toronto at the Mt. Pleasant Mastermind Toys. They were $3.49 each...and I was able to feel my way to a complete series and then some.
  15. 2012 catalogue just arrived!
  16. The white 45410 and 45411 are sort of special. They were available in a few sets, but were generally limited to the larger more expensive sets, so hard to accumulate in the larger quantities without investing a good chunk of money.
  17. The beauty of sales is needing good timing. Yup...definitely on the sale tables/shelf...nothing there. Oh well...next time perhaps!
  18. Great job indeed...love the colours and the look...and you chose wisely to print a trans-black visor rather than printing right on the face...
  19. I was sooo excited today to get there early...to find nothing. You got a great deal...oh well, we can but try. You sounded guilty at making the purchase...I can help out...I'll buy them from you for cost + 10%.
  20. Nothing there today...NOTHING. They had a few current sets for 15% off...but it looks like you had the great timing!!
  21. TRU at Yonge/Eg in Toronto has lots of the Portal of Atlantis sets on for $65 (50% off)...pretty good deal...I'm still waffling on this one as the price is great, and the parts selection is pretty good, but I'm not a huge fan of the set and I have some pretty big Christmas orders in already so I'm trying to practice restraint...
  22. This is a great looking character...nicely done.
  23. This is AMAZING...can you PLEASE post more details on its construction????????
  24. ...I agree...what a great idea, and great execution. Everything is great...the sculpting of the arches, black roof, decay...wonderful!!
  25. I love the flying off hair on the scared guy...very nice humorous touch.
