Help with a new car
Luc2000 replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There is a difference between an elise and an exige. The elise is the standard car, with less power. The exige is a hardcore roadlegal racecar, with a more powerful engine and stiffer suspension. The biggest difference (from the outside) is the spoiler and the air intake on the roof. Just google some pictures. I just built a small scale elise, with suspension, steering, 6-speed gearbox and fake engine. I forgot to make an eurobricks thread, going to make that right after this. I really enjoy building smaller scales, and I'm currently trying to make an RC Evora, with RC gearbox in the same scale. Body will be made of hoses, with maybe some panels, instead of the creator-like looks of the elise. -
REVIEW: 8236 Bike Burner
Luc2000 replied to Ferrik's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice review, but you built the model wrong in the first picture. First, the black parts on the side are mounted upside down. Second, you forgot 2 axle connectors at the front, which prevent the green tubes from sliding -
TSATS: Micro Port
Luc2000 replied to Luc2000's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I made a new presentation topic, so a moderator can close this thread now -
And here's my finished entry: A small port, with 9 functions, all powered by a single XL-motor, and just 17x21 studs small! You can control the functions with the switches in front of the actual port. Each switch resembles one function, but all switches are powered by the same motor. Hope you like it Micro Port 2 by luc.2000, on Flickr Here are some pictures and a video, all pictures can be found at flickr, at higher resolution. Micro Port 1 by luc.2000, on Flickr This micro port has 9 functions. 6 are controlled by driving rings, 2 pneumatic, and the last one is running constantly. I marked all of them at the picture below. 0. XL-motor - white 1. Left crane back and forth - purple 2. Left crane up and down - green 3. Left crane open and close (pneumatic) 4. Right crane up and down - yellow 5. Right crane turning - red 6. Right crane open and close (pneumatic) 7. Transport car back and forth - orange 8. Boat forward and backward - blue 9. Pneumatic pump - pink Micro Port 5 by luc.2000, on Flickr And don’t forget, you can find more pictures at my flickr set. I can take more pictures of details on request. Edit: Here's the original topic.

TSATS: Micro Port
Luc2000 replied to Luc2000's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for all the nice comments I'll try to finish it and make a video, before next week. -
Well, here's my entry. I'm not completely happy, but it's OK. To do list: - make some sort of micro-ship from the front thing in the water - make some sort of train/cart/thing from the rear one - replace the "water" by some smaller pins - make a video of it When it's finished, I'll type a new post with the "official" description, video, and additional picture's Don't expect too much, since it's just around 20x20 studs. It has 8 functions (2 pneumatic and 6 motorized) 1. left crane up/down 2. left crane move left/right 3. left crane open/close (pneumatic) 4. trainthing move left/right 5. boatthning move 6. right crane up/down 7. right crane turing 8. right crane open/close (pneumatic) (9. the pneumatic pump) Some pictures (more to come in the final post) There wasn't much space left Ten points to the one that sees all functions

Hm, not so sure about that. It's not really something creative. About the time: I agree that 2 weeks is to short, but isn't 6-8 weeks to long? I think 4 or 5 would be better. Especially if there's a limit (part or size), I guess there's not that much time needed. Part count is a good idea, but I'm not sure if I want to count all parts. Would you like to count 1000 parts, without destroying your model? Maybe a size limit is better, something like 40x40x40 cm

Cool A technic competition is always good to have. I hope I can enter something. For the voting system: I think your idea is very good, I like it. Maybe, instead of choosing a theme (like supercars, boats, airplanes or theme park rides), you could also do something like: building a crane that can lift the most, build a bridge that supports the most weight, or make the fastest car with just 1 M motor. Next month is great, I think february is better than march.

Reverse engineered 9392 "MOC"
Luc2000 replied to Nazgarot's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I used the axle connector 1 at the rear, and I locked the engine with a T-beam (Picture 1) and an axle 4 (picture 3). The last pictures is a detail of the front, with some parts deleted. Download the LDD-file here: click -

Here's my entry. The back was really difficult, I think. Feel free to build it, you can download the LDD-file here. -
Roller Coaster
Luc2000 replied to Luc2000's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you very much! I'm very happy with all these kind replies -
A real working LEGO Roller Coaster It has 5 functions, all of them being powered through a gearbox by a single XL motor. The station has 4 moving parts, and the last function is the main lift hill. I guess the video says it all. Some pictures at the end of the video and at flickr.

My entry for the Technic-Challenge of September! This is the replacement of the Unimog! Inspired by the Mercedes-Benz Hexawheel Concept, this off-road truck features full independent suspension, and front axle and rear part steering. All the six wheels are driven by three 2-cylinder pneumatic engines. The Power Functions are used to drive the compressor and fake V4, steer the vehicle, control the valves and turn on the lights! Mercedes-Benz Hexawheel Concept by luc.2000, on Flickr Since I'm going to London tomorrow, I can't check if I'm selected. If so, please vote me!

Let's swim!
Luc2000 replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The props are pushing, the side with 2 canisters is the front. Actually, the rear canister wasn't even necessary, that's why I removed it in the third version. Links to unedited videos of version 2 and 3. 3 works a lot better. Complete set is in the previous post. -

Thought I'd upload some pictures from last year: Boat 2 4 by luc.2000, on Flickr -
And instructions like those are exactly the ones I meant Also, maybe it could be a site where everyone can show their instructions, so not everyone has to ask for money. Oh, and sorry for my (probably bad) english.
