LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
benderisgreat replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Because it will take them about 2-3 weeks to restock sets. Why would you wait that much time, when you can buy them on release date? It's not like they will be on discount by Christmas, in fact the closer tho Christmas the harder it'll be to get this sets. So it's best to buy them on release day. I had experience of not getting Ps4 on releases date back in 2013, had to wait 2 months for another chance to buy it. Another example why you should get sets on release day: in February when Avengers 2 Hulkbuster set was released I rushed to the shop and bought it for 30$, the next day set was sold out. Now this set retails at around 50 $ on Amazon and is hard to find in store. So Ep 7 sets are day one purchase for me. -

You can preorder sets at your local shop? I wish my shops offered preorder option. -

The sets could sell out quickly in some areas, but I don't think they will be impossible to find. Shops in big cities like NY and LA will probably be out of sets by morning of 4 th, but in smaller cities I don't think this will be an issue. Also I think Lego know that SW sets will be in high demand, so logicaly thinking they should have produced a lot more of these sets than they usually do. On the Scooby-Doo topic I think sets were sold out because lego underestimated the demand for this theme, but they know that SW is their bread and butter and it could make this financial year for them. Personally I am going to get my sets morning of 4 th instead of going to midnight event. -

thanks for the link. As for review itself, I quite enjoyed it, but it reinforced my not so positive thoughts about set. Plain looking, feels incomplete without landing gear, not enough space for the minifigs, little bit overpriced . But it's nice to see some great minifigures, especially Kylo Ren. So overall thoughs on this set: only get it for the minifigs. As much as I'd like to get Kylo Ren minifig, I am going to wait till January wave and see if he is included in other sets. So for September 4 I am going to stick to my original plan: buy set with Captain Phasma, and small set with Rey. -

I don't want to argue about this topic, so I am just going to post what Wikipedia says spoiler is.A spoiler is an element of a disseminated summary or description of any piece of fiction that reveals any plot elements which threaten to give away important details concerning the turn of events of a dramatic episode. Typically, the details of the conclusion of the plot, including the climax and ending, are especially regarded as spoiler material. It can also be used to refer to any piece of information regarding any part of a given media that a potential consumer would not want to know beforehand. Because enjoyment of fiction depends a great deal upon the suspense of revealing plot details through standard narrative progression, the prior revelation of how things will turn out can "spoil" the enjoyment that some consumers of the narrative would otherwise have experienced. And to be honest trailers for ep 7 contain no spoilers, unlike that Terminator Genesis trailer that spoiled the whole movie with that plot twist. On this note I finish this argument and hope we can go back to discussing Lego sets. -

I understand a sentiment of not watching trailers, but they have no spoilers! It's not like if ep5 trailer had "Luke I am your father" in it. Just a bunch of images. So for most people sets have no spoilers, just vehicles with some characters. -

so you think sets contain spoilers? If you've seen trailers you know all the characters in the sets. So sets contain no spoilers. -

I agree with this 100%. The best way to stop the leaks is to Oficially unveil them! That's what Lego have been doing all this years at NY Toy Fair. But for some reason Disney didn't allow them to do this year. But now we've seen set pictures and they have NO Spoilers! What's the point of hiding them if they don't spoil the movie? In my opinion that's just bad marketing on Disney side, which harms Lego. I hope they won't be doing this again for ep 8. -

that's great news. It probably means that Lego youtubers such as Brichshow and Jangbricks are going to start reviewing this sets soon. Can't wait! -

So this CW wave of sets will be much cheaper to get than this years Avengers AoU sets, which is nice. I spend a lot of money on this wave but got a lot of repeats, seems like next wave will only have repeats of Cap. Good. Even though I love Iron Man, I think we had too many of him this year. As for sets themselves it's nice we won't be getting another Quinjet. Maybe more buildings than vehicles this time around? -

good point about Phasma. But it doesnt change that her minifig will look weird with blank black head. And it was understandable why they used blank heads for Stormtroopers for a first few Lego Star Wars years, but in 2015 it's just ridiculous. Personally I'd rather have Phasma with Gwendolyn Christie's face and it been incorrect to the movie, rather than blank head. -

New pics of Hamburger shaped ship are pretty good. Interior is slight improvement over 2011 version, but cabin is still horrible. Overall this version of falcon is nothing exciting , same design with some improvements. Play features are the same as before + spring loaded shooter. Minifigs are just great. -

New images of ep7 minifigs show a lot of details. The biggest dissapointment for me is that Captain Phasma has a blank head with no printing. That is so outdated Lego, can't you print Gwenline Cristie's face for Phasma? As for other minifigs it now officiall , all Stormtroopers and Tie pilots have generic angry clone face, as expected. Rey and Uncars thug booth look pretty detailed and nice. -

this very well might be the case, but I still think they won't fold out. While I am not interested on the shuttle set, because of how it looks, if the build will be interesting and play features are there it migh change my opinion on the set. So far the only good thing about this set is Kylo Ren. -

Baron Zemo and Crossbones are obviously going to be made in new sets. I mean Zemo is THE main bad guy of the movie, and if rumors are true than Crossbones plays important role as well. As for the rest we will probably get Black Panther, Winter Soldier, spider-man, new versions of Cap and Iron Man. Also I hope rumors about set prices are true then I will probably get all new sets day one. -

if you've seen photos of this ship you'd know they don't fold out. Wing of the shuttle only fold in landing mode, but I guess the wings mechanism could be modified. -

agreed I really dislike how Kylo Ren's lightsaber looks. I've seen some great designs across the web about how his sabers hilt should look like. Obviously the best solution was to combine standart lightsaber hilt with Ninjago nunchucks handle. But for some reason Lego choose different route. I just hope they improve Ren's lightsaber hilt in the future sets. -

I highly doubt it. From what I've seen on the back of the box, the wings only fold in when in landing mode. I just can't see how that vehicle can spread its wings like in a trailer. -

This new C3PO polibag is just phenomenal! I hope he will be available as a gift for buying new ep 7 sets, I mean that makes a lot of sense right? Considering the fact that Lego didn't include him in any sets this wave, he should be gift for buyin new sets.
