I refuse to believe that
Are you sure there are no more opportunities over the weekend for LEGO to reveal the set?
I don't know how much in advance official information for the other modular buildings was released but come on ... only 4 weeks to the potential release date and still no info?
EDIT: Admittedly, after looking at the agenda of AFOLCon it really looks like there are no more official events over the weekend.
That's what I wanted to say
I'm looking forward to the new building for the two reasons you mentioned: a nice large build with interesting building techiques which will result in a beautiful piece of architecture.
I think I've once read that it's a feature of the modular series that the minifigs have classic faces.
The title of the thread is really misleading - I've read "new pictures available" twice now although it says "no pictures available" :D
I totally agree. First, as has been mentioned before, this makes the street look more natural with narrow and wide houses and not only huge buildings like the GE or FB. Secondly you can choose how you want to arrange them. I'm sure it'll look great as part of the whole modular series.
I just cannot imagine how the interior of a petshop would look like. Lego animals aren't really that small so in order to get two or three of them in a "cage" you would need quite some space. So there will be many small rooms with the different animals?
On the other hand the building instructions (and I believe the box as well) of Green Grocer clearly show Green Grocer in the middle of Cafe Corner and Market Street which shows that Lego DID see it as a coherent series.
I put the two pictures together, left and right of Berard's head, and removed what was left of his head - sorry Jamie ;)
Two things I find strange:
-The height of the building doesn't fit that of the other modulars.
-I think we're looking at the back of the building. Otherwise it would be an inside corner building which I find unlikely.
I'm really looking forward to the next modular building. However, which animals would it contain? We have a dog a cat and a mouse in other modular buildings. And horses or apes don't seem too likely What other animals are left then?
