  1. hehe, hadn't played any shooter for years.... oh, and haven't any license.. :P... and finally no pc where any recent game would be playable.... but i wouldn't have any reasons against some half life deathmatch or some counter strike game!!! ;) *installs and excercises half-life*
  2. jipay, you haven't seen that star trek voyager episode with the kazon boy?!? :P oh, and actually jipay lied... i have already locked two topics.. ;)
  3. lol.. me too... ;)
  4. oh yes... i'll be so cool!!! there were several stargate mods for half life in progress (at least two), but i don't think any of them was ever finished... :( they looked both really good... but i had a multiplayer map for half life, featuring many rooms of the sgc (the gate room, control room, meeting room, corridors,...) and you was able to go through the gate and visit a alien (egypt) planet with a sarkophag.... that was so cool!!! :D
  5. hey fellow stargate fans, recieved a newsletter from MGM.com today... its about the upcoming Stargate SG-1 Video Game!!!!! Here is the link to the page, you can win something there!!! (but look at it before going crazy... ;)) http://www.mgm.com/sweeps/sweeps_355/index_355.html
  6. wow, looks great!!! whats the size of it?
  7. i think i got one or two in a bulk, but most of them came with sets (e.g. the trading post and some pirates hideout)
  8. LOL, i'll consider this for sure!!!
  9. lol, its not completed so far... i hope to finish it this week, and because i will get a digicam soon ("ordered" it by some french guy... :P), i hope to be able to shoot some pictures of the finished set soon...
  10. oh yes and there are new 1x1 slopes included!!!! :D
  11. till i joined the AFOL (and KFOL) community, i thought i would own MANY lego parts.... but since that day month ago... i know that my amount of parts isn't much for a afol... ;)
  12. Recent?? What are you on about?? King Arthur is an old legend or folk tale that has been told in Britain for hundreds of years.. I very much doubt it is based on any recent findings. It is as much a story as Lord of the rings.. except it is actually based in England. Jon. oh... there are said a few words at the beginning of the movie... they say that the arthur legend is based on a real "hero" (the roman commander "arturius"), and they say that there was these "recent" new archiological findigs that show this (correct me if this was wrong, please!) but they don't say if this archeological findings are true or just fiction to make a different looking arthur movie... (has anybody facts???)
  13. Noooo!!! you guys don't understand what i mean.... :$ <_< i don't talk about the story or whatever... i ONLY talk about the design of the things... the design that hadn't came with the original legends (i'm pretty sure nowhere was said the thin, tall guinivere wears a blue elegant dress and suddenly has a bow in her hands) i know that tolkien (from GB!!!) was much influenced by england's / great britain's history and legends... i don't wanna say ARTUR is a copy of ARAGORN.... i wanna say that the makers of the movie used several similar things to the LOTR-MOVIE... e.g. characters look like elves, behave like characters from the lotr-movie, have similar character traits (i'm sure there is much place to be filled with additional character traits, that aren't listed / viewable in the original legends)... you know, i talk about THIS movie.... i would never say that any guy from "excalibur" or "merlin" (with sam neill!!!) would fit in the LOTR movies... but most of the "legend of arthur"-guys would... AND i say that this hadn't happened by chance, the directors /script editors/producers made it that way, because LOTR'ish movies are MAINSTREAM and almost everybody tries to get on it, to make money... the same with troy... it hadn't happened by chance that suddenly many, many "historical" (or at least pseudo-historical) movies are appearing at the theaters.... if people (producers) see, that one kind of movies has success, they try to reproduce the success as ling as people are interested in it. look at the super hero movies.... the last 20 years, there came out a super hero movie every three years or something like that... and suddenly people see that you can earn much money with good superhero movies and BANG there is a spider-man series, batman and catwoman are returning, "the incredibles", the fantastic four, daredevil and many, many more (e.g. the thunderbirds) are making their ways to the theaters... so please don't think i'm saying anything against the arthur legends... i love this legend, i have seen "merlin" more than 7 times, i hope to get "excalibur" on dvd as soon as possible and i read at least two books about that theme.... BUT i still can say: this movie, this INTERPRETATION was not good.... AND i can say that the producers has tried to surf on a wave from another movie... AND i can say that they failed i hope that made clear what i think about that movie, about the legend and (not at least) about the movie industrie... ;)
  14. now let me make this thread going completly off-topic: do you do MOC that aren't related to your comics??! and what about the MOCs IN the comics? (e.g. that trooper shuttle using the imperial shuttle cockpit window) do you make separate pictures of them? i would really like to see such pictures!!!
  15. welcome!!! :D hope to see all of you often around here!!! (y)
  16. no no no!!! thats not what i meant.... MY problem is: i think that the makers of king arthur used all this similarities to ride on the LOTR-wave... its just to attract the people that loved the LOTR movies (and that were MANY!!!)....
  17. LOL!!! i saw it yesterday.... i have to say three things about it: -> 2 hours battle. -> no plot. -> many things copied from LOTR so... im VERY disapointed.... the only good points of the movie are that the characters at the beginning (the first half hour) develope nicely. but when the invasion of that bad guys ("sachsen" in germany, no idea what the english word is) begins, the whole movie is becoming a big bloody battle... :( the LOTR similarities: - guinevere (please can any admin correct the spelling, i've no idea... :P) is some elfish girl (bow, the blue dress) - lancelot is legolas (bow skills, the two short sorts / scimitars or whatever) - artur is aragorn (majestic, but living a honest and simple life) now, my two cents, there were several other details (some good, but most bad) i could mention, but that would mean spoilers... :P
  18. this man spoke the truth!!! :D so welcome! its always nice to see new posters here!!! :) oh, and your mocs are really cool! i saw them a while ago, i think i clicked on your fbtb profile or whatever.. ;) really impressive work! especially the landscape and plants at the corner tower (like jipay mentioned, too) impressed me much!!!
  19. but this would mean that e.g. the life of a murderer had only sense if he really murdered someone... then it should be the question: is it GOOD to try to achieve your life's sense? had the murderer a moral life if he murdered somebody??? and if not, are these people who can't find any sense in there life people who has "bad" senses???
  20. but... where do you know from that you can try? and much more important: if you try and fail, where do you know from that you failed? is there a way to see if you had success though IT LOOKS like you hadn't? (in case you had success without of knowing it) and finally who should pretend things to you? god? beings on a higher level than human race? aliens? what kind of guys does Plato mean if talking about the beings making the shadows WE see in the "hoehlengleichnis" (sorry, no idea what the english name is... :()??? and if the things we have are only shadows: WHAT are the 'real' things? and this 'real' things: where can we and that other beings know from that they aren't only shadows, too??? its a vicious circle we never can escape from. so maybe the new question should be: what is the origin? where is the origin? what is the sense of it? why has it a sense? and even: has it a sense? and another important question: why is it so much important to know the sense? and why is the english word "sense" the same word that is used in german for "scythe"? is it a hint to the death, so the only sense is the death? where do i know from that english is a language that exists? maybe i'm just a guy in a LARGE laboratory and all the things i can see are just invented to see if people can handle such "crazy" things (crazy for the scientists, not for me, everything in this world is usual for me). and maybe we can now understand the sense of things like spam mails, feet fetishes and even george w. bush. they are situation made to confuse me / us and to see how i will react. my 2 cents
  21. i think the problem is: IF there is somebody, who THINKS that he can do something, but he can't do it. where could he know from, that he can't do it? and more important: if he knows that he can't do it, but still think that he can, where does he know from that there isn't anybody pretending him that he can't? maybe he can, but he thinks that he can't though he thinks that he can!
  22. a bit offtopic, but what do you think is the reason for the screaming of that guy??? (and i don't want to hear anything like "he screams because he knows that he is a victim of robbery!")
  23. Thank you for welcoming back!!!! :D :P I will lock thsi thread to beware it of going offtopic... ;)
  24. so 2 bronce are better than one gold? :loul:
