  1. I see and understand now what you are saying. I only needed it once for this particular model (and probably once-in-a-lifetime) LDD project I'm doing. Otherwise, I only model in LDCad / LDraw and use Stud.io to render, make instructions or use it to make a good wishlist for Bricklink
  2. OK, got it! Still works. Thanks!
  3. Ok found it! I think…. This: Didn’t look hard enough if there was already a topic. Hope this still works, since the article is from 2017 😬
  4. Is there a way to overrule the collision detector to force a brick in to place? I have this project I have to do in LDD (cannot use LDraw or Stud.io for this one, don't ask me why...) But, I am sure a certain piece should fit, but LDD won't let me because it thinks it does not fit. Tnx
  5. I just downloaded and copied the files. Opening the 240120.lxf file gave no errors for me. Thank you!
  6. Great! Thanks. This is more easy than I expected it to be. Especially adding my custom print to “DecorationMapping.xml” ;-)
  7. OK, so now that I am into doing some modelling with LDD again, I have a question about making a tile with custom print. Is there a guide for this? I have a PNG image file for the print on a 1x2 tile. Thanks!
  8. Thanks! It just came back to me that 4.3.12 does not work! And I had that version :-( I did a complete clean and reinstall of 4.3.11 and all is working now. Including update version 20240504 and the file with those parts working good too. Thanks again for all the work people put into this.
  9. Hi all, It has been a while since I worked with the custom parts and I just downloaded and extracted the complete update. All in all it seems to work just fine, however, opening the lxf files that have all parts of a certain update, most of them keep deleting a few parts that are not found and some that are not placed correct. What could be wrong about that? Further more, some new parts are not correct in the pallette and do not load. For example the part plate 3x3 (partno. 11212). The xml file is present in C:\Users\Jaco vd Molen\AppData\Roaming\LEGO Company\LEGO Digital Designer\db\Primitives I see a 11212.xml file that I assume is the definition of the 3x3 plate. However, in LDD Extended the part can be found in the plates palette, but shows as a vague 2x2 brick with an exclaimation mark and cannot be used. What could that be? Thanks for reading and answer.
  10. Though I like LDD with all the new parts, have you ever tried LDraw? Even more parts there and some good software too. I use LDCad to model and Stud.io for rendering and sometimes for instructions.
  11. OK, great. I will await patiently then. Thanks again.
  12. Is there link to download all new parts in a zip or rar file? The last post I can find in this thread is from September 11, 2021. I have a feeling that since then a lot of parts were added but in this thread here, I can only find a link to loose files. Thanks to all who make this possible. Though I am a "hardcore" LDraw user, I ever so often need to turn to LDD for my digital models.
  13. OK, didn't know. My main tools for digital LEGO are LDraw based and lately a bit more Stud.io. I love the feature in Stud.io where you can find bricks you use that are not available in the color you want, but Stud.io can search and replace those with colors that (nearly) match.
  14. I guess that is heritage to the very beginning of LDD when you could model and order a design. I think in the basic mode back then were bricks that were actually available to order. In the extended version for instance you can make any brick any color I think. In theory you could not have ordered that design back then. Now I think there are still only bricks in the basic mode there that actually exist in the available color.
  15. OK, I see. I have checked with 11477 which is not in the normal basic version, but is in the Extended version. I cannot post better screenshots, but here is the normal version filter on part 11477 you see it is not there. The second screenshot is the Extended version filter on 11477 so you see it is there.
