Linerton? Pilotville? The ones which self-reference are often the best, ie Shakleton's town of Shackleton)

I love it so far, and above all I can't wait to see why the majority of the orphans look so terrified! A sea monster, p'rhaps? My favorite orphan, by the way, is the one with the blue jacket and the sad Jester face. This is a grat head that I hope to use a lot, should I ever become a brick comic maker or brick filmer. Great work so far, can't wait to see the final version!

AFOL and their approach to the hobby by theme
Steel Dragon replied to Legoist's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I use my Pirate and Castle collection to MOC, wargame and roleplay. I "army build" and MOC with my Zombies and Survivors. (Town) I hope to do comics/movies with both collections eventually. -
I recently bought the stellar Drawbridge Defense, though for a bit more than the MSRP, and have just started cannibalizing parts from it for MOCs. I noticed that the two pearl-gold pennants included in the set looked odd. Upon further inspection, I found that they were waving the wrong way! My question is, has anyone else noticed a difference in the pennants in recent sets? And does this seem intentional? I think Lego may be phasing to a new style.

This made my day. NO ONE HAS TAKEN THE THIRD VILLAGE? Uggh, I don't think I could pull off a 16 x 48 village, but it doesn't look like anyone else is interested. Here, I'll give it a day. If no ones taken it by this time tomorrow, you can put me down for ALL THREE islander villages. ( , , , count 'em.) ...what have I gotten myself into...

Is the new Castle line making old ones obsolete?
Steel Dragon replied to concreteasflesh's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Oh my goodness gracious, I had that set! I've since msplaced the hat ( ), but it sticks in my mind as the iconic Classic Castle. I personally think Classic and Modern castle figures blend beautifully together, so no, I don't think Classic Castle has been obsolesced at all. -
I would pay any exorbitant amount of money for a chrome King Kahuka.

Above all else, I hope for the return of Forestmen. But this thread is for specific set ideas, not theme suggestions, so I'll get back on topic. I think a small town square set would be nice, with a few market stalls and a well, or maybe a cart. A gypsy camp would be cool . Overall, I think lots have pople have said "more civilian scenes", and I agree. My Crownies have nobody to protect! I also liked the story-driven feel of Knight's Kingdom. This is a theme that I think gets too much of a bad rap for some less-than-stellar accessories, when it was actually quite nice with the cool structures (prison tower, boulder bridge) and awesome figs (Shadow Knights, Guardian ). So what I'm saying is, a Castle line with more distinct characters and a cool story (a la Pilgrims Road, I like it!) would be good.

I sense a speed-separating challenge in the future of EB events! I own two Brick Separators, and though one is sufficient for most jobs using two to "plier" apart plates is immensely satisfying.

What is the funniest things you have heard said about Lego?
Steel Dragon replied to Sisco's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Made my day! Some of my fellow FOL friends say Legos, and it's gotten to the point where I think I must just be desensitized to it. -
AAGH! I've had this idea FOREVER! It's so cool, though, and good to see SOMEBODY do it. If you haven't already, you should approach a Community Build organizer and try to get a spot! I'm sure they'd love it. Again, great work!

Protector by The White Stripes! I suggest it, one of the better songs off their first album.

Man, no one loves the Islanders... Could I take a #48 adjacent to the one I'm already down for, and do a 16x32? Thanks in advance!

Real Time Strategy it is. Sorry for being vague/offtopic. ONtopic, I think the idea of elephants is a good one. They may be hard to come by, though... I only have two Trorcs (love that name!), so mounts aren't exactly necessary. Plus one has a horse anyway, being a "sensitized" trorc fellow.

Newer pirate sets, are they worth getting?
Steel Dragon replied to Aquila D'oro's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm considering buying a second Kraken Attackin' for a second Kraken... the Dark Red octopus is as of now exclusive to this set, so I'd think it would be worth a multiple purchase. I'm no collector, though. -
I own this set, but it hasn't been together in a while... and the stickered pieces are useless for MOCing besides a blatant MickeyD's MOC. The car was nice though... ~Gargamel

Removing pattern from road plates?
Steel Dragon replied to escortmad79's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As I said, I'm new to the idea of removing printing. Excuse my naivete. -
Hello everyone! I need a new wallpaper for my computer desktop, and thought it should be another Lego-themed image. So I've made this topic to ask for suggestions, but also as a place for people to find and share fun wallpapers relating to our favorite hobby! I'll start it off with a few, including my current wallpaper and favorite minifigure of '09, the Jester! (more from Brikwars HERE) Sorry about the sizing, but they're harder to use otherwise. So go ahead! Get posting, and enjoy!

I grew up with PlayStation (my first videogame EVER was the original Spyro the Dragon, an amazing game), and have the PS2 now, but hope to someday own a PS3. I voted for both PS and PS2 due to backwards compatibility .

Yup! I wish I had chosen something easier to build for a sig-fig, though!

Axxon. He was just plain awesome, but he was funny and sensitive too. On an aesthetic note, he had the first posable fingers I can remember, so bonus points for that. "I'll give you till the count of five... One... Two... FIVE!" Besides him, I also liked Keetongu (gentle giant) and Gali (caring sister). And no one can dislike Pohatu or Lewa!

I'd like to register for one #48, Islander Village, to start with. Are we allowed to sign up for/submit multiple different builds? 'Cause I may just nabthe House of Ill Repute ( ) or the Dentist as well.
