Typically most companies let a lot of it slide because of the scale of the operations. This is the rare time I have seen someone unhappy with customizers and level them on the same line as those "compatible minifigures" The likes of Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, etc... have had to long combat unauthorized IP use that goes far beyond minifigures, custom fan produced stuff is not really worth it for them to fight as it can quite often be more of PR problem. Think of the ire that Star Trek recent received for trying to shut down a fan film.

Most of what you mentioned isn't covered under TLG designs and you could make the argument that the game designs are from TT games and not Lego themselves; they likely just sign off on them. I highly doubt we'd ever see a doombot or kurse bigfig.

Staff views on knock-off discussion and promotion

Based on what was written above the rules are written and applied in regards to official TLG product designs not IPs. Any discussion would mean understanding the parameters of what is allowed which would amount to any NON-TLG designs. -

Well as mentioned before I think we can create a thread with TLG copies not mentioned, those discussions can surely just be brought to the various subreddits in place currently that will likely blossom now. -

I think a new thread with rules outlined at the beginning to ensure that no Copies of TLG figures or sets are permitted would potentially please the new rule change. With many regular posters I think it could be easily self-policed. Despite some of the Chinese companies reproducing TLG sets and figures; XINH and POGO specifically have been making figures than will likely never see the light of day from TLG whether its Suicide Squad and Game of Thrones for its Subject Matter or X-Men and Fantastic Four because of Marvel's issues with 20th Century Fox. Do the Mods think that such a thing could be possible? -
Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?

As its DLP I doubt it, they seem to be in the same boat with SY and Decool where single sales seem to be outlawed for some reason. -
LEPIN brings out Monster Fighters HAUNTED HOUSE (16007)
CaptvirgilHilts replied to ericb's topic in Community
The thing to note is that they only are legally going after Lepin, not the other manufacturers that have bootlegged sets for years now. This likely points to something specific Lepin did and I imagine it would be a certain IP holder that was unhappy over the reproduction of their set and I would hazard a guess it was also a high value set. The Ghostbusters HQ is a probability but I would bet that Porsche was unhappy about the GT3 RS getting duplicated especially on the scale and the quality of the packaging. -

I actually saw those up on Ali the other day. One seller had actual pictures of the Star Wars ones, I was really tempted. -

As a DC nerd I also agree. Although that Namor seems like the perfect head/hair for a Black Adam and swapping out the legs for green could give a great Amazo. -

Quick tip: if you go through the web and select the "view detail" on the order in question and then click on the product name under the Product Details column and it will show you a snapshot of the product page at time of ordering. -

Looks like the same dirty blonde that POGO used for the suicide squad Harley. -

Robin is a copy of the OLS version of the Robin memorial from the BvS Batcave. Saturn Girl is a rip from the Lego Cosmic Clash movie, no indication it will be a TLG figure any time soon -

Personally I use credit card and haven't had any issues with it. It does work different than something like eBay, the seller doesn't get the money until you have confirmed that you received the package. I've had a few cases where I have had to open disputes because a package didn't arrive but they always show up eventually for me, sometimes an extra 30 or 60 days even. Pricing can be tricky, it helps when you know exactly what set you are looking for as sometimes you can find the one seller who his selling it for way less. eBay prices have skyrocketed because there are only a few sellers who carry them now. -

Beyond the single sales I think one of the better things is that they do a lot of characters that TLG hasn't done and likely wont do unlike the slight modifications and rehashing we used to get from Decool and SY. -

Yeah slowly but surely over the last months they've done alot of them, I would bet they will likely get the rest of the Legends of Tomorrow done in the near future. -

The Robin Memorial is definitely a copy of an OLS figure that doesn't seem to be up for sale anymore, but I found the old listing here :http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LEGO-custom-ROBIN-MEMORIAL-justice-batman-v-superman-batcave-6860-76052-/252435486305?nma=true&si=L%252F%252FB95k1TlsWRAlhht6ZiJOukXM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 -

Found this morning on AE: Kind of disappointed I pulled the trigger on this one with out pictures first. For when Rey goes to the fancy trading post? Looks like SY are upgrading the Mighty Micros and then made their own Cyborg vs Brainiac. -

Totally it is yes, forgot about that change. One listing i found mentions that there are maybe metal figures inside? Translation error maybe? In regards to your issue, if you received the wrong set it's technically correct to say the item didn't arrive. One arrived but not the one you ordered.
