  1. After a dozen years I got back into LEGO at the beginning of this year and found a ton of Friends sets mostly at 50% clearance, making my late start into the series a bargain (all new unless specified): * 3185 Summer Riding Camp ($125... still much less than it goes for now) * 3315 Olivia's House ($35) * 41000 Water Scooter Fun ($1.50) * 41001 Mia's Magic Tricks ($5) * 41005 Hearlake High ($25) * 41007 Heartlake Pet Salon ($13) * 41013 Emma's Sports Car ($7) * 41015 Dolphin Cruiser ($35) * 41028 Emma's Lifeguard Post ($5) * 41030 Olivia's Ice Cream Bike ($5) * 41034 Summer Caravan ($15) * 41035 Heartlake Juice Bar ($15) * 41036 Jungle Bridge Rescue ($15) * 41039 Sunshine Ranch ($40) * 41050 Ariel's Amazing Treasures ($5) * 41051 Merida's Highland Games ($9) * 41052 Ariel's Magical Kiss ($15) * 41053 Cinderella's Dream Carriage ($15) * 41056 Heartlake News Van ($13) * 41075 Elves Treetop Hideaway ($35) * 41094 Heartlake Lighthouse ($26) * 41095 Emma's House ($50) * 41097 Heartlake Hot Air Balloon ($20) * 70816 Benny's Spaceship ($50) * 10228 Haunted House ($140 used complete w/ box and instructions) * 10662 Creative Bucket 600 pieces ($15) * 31018 Highway Cruiser ($5) * 60036 Arctic Base Camp ($45) I've sadly had to lower the bar because it seems that this was just some great luck. I'm still holding out for the new Friends sets to displace many current ones and send them to clearance.
  2. Hi, I'm Prairie. I played with LEGO sets when I was little, took a dozen-year break, got a few more (mostly Belville), took another dozen-year break, and over the past few months really got into them again, focusing mostly on collecting Friends sets. I enjoy the high quality, thoughtful designs, countless details, and everyday situations in these sets. I'm really glad LEGO made Friends because others only mildly appeal while Friends is irresistable. A few exceptions that I really like and got: Haunted House and Benny's Spaceship. This has turned into my second major collection after Groovy Girls dolls and some Care Bears. Both of these collections I've made tap into a happy fun place for me. I've always been creative in various ways. I sometimes make electronic or software projects to help with practical things. I love exploring and understanding things. Since I was little I tend to open everything of mine up to see how it's made inside. I also enjoy diagnosing problems with things and trying to repair them. I hope to post pictures of things I make, share stories of the LEGO deals I've found, and post some informal reviews (my first is already written, but I frustratingly can't post it until I've made ten replies).
