About Me
My Own Creations.

Hi,
My name is Jade and I started playing with these magical little bricks as a kid.......1980's so I was ripe for all the goodness about to unfold.
Though at this stage Castle themed LEGO seemed untopable and was my pride and joy but a few long years later ( Remember when years were long?) came the arrival of the Pirate LEGO theme, an instant new favourite.
Though my parents were far from well off they always managed to get us ( I have two brothers ) what we really wanted for xmas or birthdays.
I can still remember the excitement of opening the BSB and building it on xmas day. My next birthday bought me the Eldorado fortress and so continued my love of LEGO.
Many dark years were to follow these glory days...... until my son was born, this was the excuse i needed to play with toys again
.
So naturally I stared buying LEGO for him ( still in nappies and on the breast? ) ....Ok it was for me .
Oh how the years fly by, now at school my son's LEGO collection is impressive (mostly comprised of Star Wars and Agents) but dad has more. ![]()
A few months ago my daughter (oh yeah I've got one of those too)started to ask about the LEGO and so I started to show her.
She soon demanded I build her something so I did .
I hadn't built a MOC since I was a kid (just the sets) and some how the magic of it all had not changed from all those years ago.
I began to build small vigs.... then found Bricklink and started bigger projects. During this time I found the online AFOL community and Bam here here I am.
I live in Tasmania (hence the screen name TazManiac) one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We don't have savage beasts that spin at 100 miles an hour and eat through trees and the like but we do have Tassie devils. It's cold here half the year and freezing most of the rest so it's not like "Summer Bay" but you wont find fresher air or water any where so it's a fair trade off.
Now I build as much as I can and do my best to back up ISC in the history forum.
