Well some old sets had simple instructions at the back for alternate builds, others just want you to imagine, try TLG website for a digital copy of the original instructions and see if they are in there.

I really liked Genesis of the Daleks, i? wish they would do similar less complicated episodes now. I agree about your point where DW gets a bit heavy handed or intense, but that's part of the fun. I also really love Sherlock.

My local TRUs and Toy Master both have it and so does ModelWorld all round about £65. I'm also thinking of getting it (mainly for the AT-ST ). Try a few smaller toy shops out of town, they tend to have some quite old sets, I got a ROTS AT-AP from one a few years back for £30.

Just by eyeballing my boxes I see about 90% SW and a bit of Classic space and some old spider-man.

At the moment I only buy sets in my price range (Battle of Naboo, BP's etc), but someday when I get some more disposable income I want to 'Catch 'em all' so I'm grateful to people who sell them on after their run is over but I really hate paying over the odds for them, If I did sell for the money I would only charge a modern inflation on the sets.
