17th Combat Engineering Squad: Mission 2 at (+12, -5, +8)
Mr Man replied to LEGOman273's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I love the shaping and debris around the blast hole. If they are pined down why not walk out of the 4th wall? This is the best one so far Legoman273. -
Really great build of Gasgano, much better than TLG's, where are the arms from are they just BD arms because they look a bit too curved? The pod is really great, nice work on the engines especialy.
-
Is a bear a catholic? Yes we would .
-
Nice job stark mark 5, just two minor points, shouldn't it be green or purple? I don't remember seeing any blue speeders, and the engines should come out a bit further, the intakes need to have a clear line of sight down the body.
-
It wouldn't be a great comparison as the old Malevolence was a midi-scale and the new one system-scale, it would be like comparing the midi Falcon with the new system one.

Wow they would look strange, Rex would be the best though. I don't think the helmet would fit with the shoulder armour plates. -
Nice job on the Stormtroopers especialy CC-0666Grenade, I like the little red design on the helmet . I'm not sure about eyes on the final trooper though, they make them look a little thick, maybe change it to a blue stripe above or below the black dividing line.

Well lower canon, I was simplifying, but the quote form Fallenangel could do with been highlighted, as I sick of people complaining about TCW because it contradicts their favourite comic book etc. Incidentally where do the Ewocks and Droids TV shows come in this? Are they T Canon as well?
-
No the Clone Wars just adds to canon. The EU so beloved of fans here and else where has plenty of examples of god like Jedi / Sith, who can survive all sorts been cut in half is nothing to them, but they aren't canon TCW is.

Give it a green roof and see what the Nabooians did with the droid bodies in the aftermath of the BON . This is quit inspired ACPin .
-
Thanks for the link. I love the amount of blue in the Malevolence, it'll be coming apart to build a Providence though. I want to see an image of the Fury-Class though.
-
Oh no I found that link I did mean the most wanted planets sets page. Maybe some more Naboo planets with more sets like a royal starship in pearl silver .

A chrome scout would make a great radiation trooper . -

Well the Chrome Stormtrooper magnet as well. -
This is an incredible costume Nuju Metru, I think the armour should be darker but the use of the longer legs and arms is great. How was the helmet made?

I can't use the search function my self at the moment but we have a topic for future planets and future general SW sets already in the forum .
-
The examples you picked aren't really that great as examples other than been the same bases. The new versions of the first two are bigger, more complex and have new moulds, the third one is a better comparison, but my version of the JSF+droid was £25 when new, so a £10 increase over time is to be expected.

I think the Scythe would be a better choice, if it was the Katana, it would just look like a droid holding a Katana, i.e. like a costume or something. -
I disagree, The Duel of the Fates was the least choreographed duel in the saga, it looked perfectly natural, the only one that beats it in terms of realism is the Duel on Bespin in ESB. (BTW Darth Maul + double bladed lightsabre = win!! ).
-
Yeah but Out of the Jedi left Obi was a incredible sabre master, and only as old as Qui Gon was in episode I, The chosen one and his son, the embodiment of the Darksidetm who fought Yoda to a standstill. The argument of them loosing power or something only stands up pre-prequels.

I've built mine on LDD already but BS is down .
-
Wow this is really nice trooper 278, I think I prefer it to the Munificent, some really great parts to it like the engines and the front's shaping and greabling.
-
Ordinarily I would say they would be short but Jedi have superhuman endurance and stamina. The Duel on Mustafar was one between two of the greatest fighters of the order (At least Ani is meant to be ), they are pretty evenly matched, so it has to be a duel of attrition.
