  1. Yes this^^^. Maybe a cable stripping shovel like the Marion Mountaineer, or The Captain, or something like that. I wish Lego would make something like that.
  2. Fantastic work. If it isn't rude to ask--a parts list & instructions some day would be awesome. I really like these older machines-bulldozers in particular.
  3. I think Sariel's hamster will like that yellow 136t ring gear.....
  4. Arocs and crawler crane are on the shelf at TRU in Vancouver, Canada. $269, and $179 respectively....... Got shoulder surgery scheduled in the winter, so will likely get them then-its a long recovery, apparently......
  5. I like the heavy equipment, so I think a large cable shovel along the lines of the Mountaineer or Captain would be kind of cool, especially if it was R/C. A retro set along the lines of 8858 perhaps set up as a huge diesel generator set incorporating a transmission of sorts might be fun, too.
  6. Very nice indeed! How do you work with styrene?
  7. Yes--It would be neat to have one real "Old School" studded Technic set every year or so.
  8. That's really nice! I second the request for instructions.....please!!
  9. What a rotten deal--Always someone has spoil things! I'm very old-school, so a print-only book wouldn't bother me a bit. Thanks for doing what you do in spite of the nasties. My wife got me your book for Christmas. Fascinating--I wish I could visualise Lego construction half so well!!
  10. Solid looking piece of equipment! Looks like plenty of fun indoors as well as out.
  11. Tedbeard-----From the Island initially, but living in the Lower Rainland!
  12. Yet another mystery cleared up....interesting! Makes sense, as the fit limits of Lego are somewhat elastic, and stressed plastic will break much more easily.
  13. I can see the Lego truck budget may be cutting into the Jeep budget this summer.....hmmmm.......
  14. For me it was 8453--the small front end loader. I bought it in 2003 on a whim for myself along with Kopaka Nuva for my 5 yr old son Kopaka's bits & pieces still see the light of day, and 8453 is still in original form holding pride of place alongside numerous larger sets.
  15. Hello from the Wet Coast of Canada! I build mostly Technic--as a machinist, I enjoy making things that work, and really appreciate the engineering, design and manufacturing that goes into Lego.
