Thank you! Trust me, I am a purist too and was happy I had the pieces laying around to create a Western guy. For reference, the hat came from the Green Tractor Polybag, and the head/beard combination are from Series 4 Gnome (although the Fisherman from Series 3 would have worked too). Hello! This is my entry for the Wild West category 3. I call it the Casual Settler. He is someone you would see settle in either Northern California or in Oregon after going down the Oregon Trail. His minifigure accessories are a LEGO Shotgun and his hat. In his picture he is standing in front of one of the local county stores. This is a 16 x 12 Vig. Welcome to the neighborhood!

I always thought they were Duplo as well. I picked Mickey and Pluto up at a local LEGO reselling store and was pleasantly suprised to find them to be LEGO.

Are you refering to this guy? If so, he is actually LEGO (just larger scaled minifigures), but no his hands are not removable.

Toys R Us has a pre order ship date of 8/16/11

TRU's latest shipping date on the pre orders in August 16th. For Series 3, Fred Meyer stores in the Pacific Northwest had theirs out a week and a half before TRU. I think it is hit and miss and total luck of the draw. With that said, I had my local TRU check the system and they said the distributor does not have them yet. Looks like I'll be hitting up all my local Fred Meyer stores :)

Yes I did/do. I am still adding some more here and there. Mainly to get the pant pieces to create an opposing team and more bats for them. I also use the torsos and hats for fans :) My local TRU's get their trucks on Thursday nights. They have been saying S5 is in the system, but not showing in stock at the distributor. So I plan on calling Wednesday night to see if that has changed. The hunt is on!

I love the way you designed it! It reminds me of many of the Mexican Restaurants in San Diego. I love the detail with the brown going around the top of the building.
