Gotham City Mafia: Day One
Professor Flitwick replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, ask you've previously told me, these situations vary from each other. I'm sure peoples abilities can too. Whether she's tellin' a lie, or tellin' da truth, well find out in da mornin'. If either Pengy, or da Joka, confirm Dolly's story, den we'll know fo' sure if we can trust her. An rememba, if she is lyin' it's gonna be a short lived lie, 'cause if they don't confrim her story, den she'd be a prime suspect! -
Peanuts! In character! "True, though we can only hope they pick Rogues to try and balance out the team." "Oh... you poor lad. You must feel quite uneasy, sharing this Hall with so many Mages. But, is it really justifiable to hate all Mages, just because of the destructive actions of one. Although, I do agree that some of their styles can seem impersonal and ungentlemanly, such as Lady Wren attacking us from rooms away."
-
"Should I press the matter? Seems to be a rather touchy topic, hm... "Ah, good to see you, Mr. Sicariul! I do hope they take Rogues; be rather unfair for to Mages just to take other Mages." "Mr. Sicariul, I couldn't help but overhear... what exactly have the Ziegfrieds done to offend you?"

Having since bought a better whip off Mr. Gibbon, Thotwick sold his Black Whip for 20 gold to the grouchy looking Blacksmith.
-
Thothwick look crestfallen at the list of accepted heroes, and conversed with himself inside his head. "A darn shame I couldn't get in, though it is nice to see several new heroes go out and quest together. It's good that they all get to start on the same foot." Thothwick looked at the remaining quests, with one Ziegfried quest left over... "Hmm... I suppose it doesn't say only Clerics and Mages. Well, only one way to find out!" Thothwick signs up for Quest #14: The Family Recipe.

Gotham City Mafia: Day One
Professor Flitwick replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Dey started out with five. Da sixth was converted, which is summat dat ain't always possible in dis sorta situation. I prefer the term hypothesising. At the time, we were all hypothesising about the pro's and con's of lynching a random person. I was using statistics we've all faced before to try and demonstrate a point. Exactly, da numba of infiltrators is dependent on da numba of people ova all. Dere's more than sixteen people here, which obviously indicates dere's more dan four. Wha? Ain' we talkin' 'bout fractions here? Again, just hypothesising using previously reliable knowledge to help form a conclusion on random lynchings. -

'Ow many where dere ova all? Yeah see, it's the job of da person in charge of da infiltrators ta make sure dat dey make up about one fifth of all da members. In dis case, us 24 would let as reasonable educate person da guess deres about five. -

Professor Flitwick replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
You're right, it doesn't. Nowhere did we say it was definitive, and we were using the best information we had on hand to help us justify a random lynch. Bad reasoning? Dats rich, considerin' your pokin' da finga at us 'cause we used past experience! I- uh- what? Is the only reason your Riddles are unsolvable due to bad wording? -

Professor Flitwick replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
My master and I have been in situations like this before- Some of our guys thought dey could rat us out to da cops! We had 24 suspects, and five of them were infiltrators. Being the smart guy dat you are, I woulda thought dat ya woulda learn a thing or two about pattern recognition! That's true, sir. Riddler, didn't you once partake in a similar event recently, with similarly stacked numbers? -
"Can't say I've seen a Mage up close, nor a Cleric; neither classes were allowed to partake in the Quest to the Arena. However, I hear tell of them, and they sound fascinating! I dare say you won't be out of a quest before too long! Are there any particular factions with whom you'd like the chance to work for? As I aforementioned, the Arcane Arts fascinate me, so either the Ziegfrieds or the Guild of Invasion. Although, any faction would be an honour to work for!"
-
"Oh, I hope you don't think me ungrateful! I'm glad I got the chance to take part, and I'm very grateful that my team mates showered me with support and loot upon our return, I just wish I could've been more a help to them." "Saved countless lives from a plague? Fought Werewolves? Defeated a cult? You speak those words with such nonchalance! Oh, and you needn't worry about offending me, Mr. Gibbon. I learned the hard way that not all Metasimian are as kind as Byblos." "I'm glad to hear you;ve enjoyed your experience, Mr. Gibbon! I don't suppose you know what you're going do to when you reach level 15 your roguish career starts to branch out more?"
-
Taking both the invitation to pick up his purchase, and partake in a conversation, Thothwick timidly sat in a seat near the rogue. "Hello, Mr. Gibbon, I'm Thothwick. I've seen you around the hall a few times, but I alas, we've had no extended communication. Until now, of course!" "Yes, I was at the Arena. Well, depends how you define 'at'. I was there at the start, but got knocked out by that Barbarian who tried to start a ruckus with the chap in the vail. Would seem he doesn't like Rogues! I woke up in a cell, and was apparently there for several days, before Mr. Hybros (the short Imp gentleman), Sir Daggerfall (the Knight, with the Golden armour) and myself were rescued by the rest of our party. I've no knowledge as to how the other two ended up there, but I can only assume they too lost in the Arena matches. We all attempted to escape, when we were separated from Mr. Cronk, our party leader. A short while later, we faced a utter scamp by the name of Draco. I can't tell you how it ended, because I was knocked out in the last round of that fight. I awoke later, with the rest of my party, in a field. It would appear I spent the majority of the Quest unconscious!" "When I left these halls for the Arena, I remember you were still here. But when I came back, you were nowhere to be seen. At first I thought you might of left these halls for a less reputable living. My fears were groundless; you've returned, so you must've been on a Quest! What was it like? Anything like your first Quest?"

"Aw, I feel so useless! I'm just gonna sit on the bed, with Ash ( )." -
See this notice, Thothwick knew exactly whom the notice was referring to. He had enrolled in the hall long before Thothwick, and had already completed a Quest before Thothwick had signed up for one. He had also watched the gentleman walk into the saloon, moments ago...! "Excuse me, Mr. Gibbin. I don't believe we've met. I mean, I know who you are from your quest, and I - ur - Oh, look at me, I'm blushing. Anyway, I was hoping to ask you... if you'd... ur, sell me your chain wipe". Thothwick threw his coin purse on the table, eagerly awaiting the Chicken-tamers reply.

Well, Heroica is basically one continuous game. Each of the Quests act very much like days or chapters in Mafia games and Mystery games, respectively. We don't have separate forums for each Mafia/Mystery game, so I think one for Heroica would be pointless. Sorry if I'm starting to sound like a grouch on this one, but I really don't think this is a necessity. -

I quite agree. It's better to go into a night against these undercover agents 5:19, then risk it being 5:18- Yeah! We gotta tink about da odds, jus' like at da track! Yes, sir, quite, sir, if only you ever won, sir. -

But the library has links to all the previous and current quests, as well as to the bestiary. Just use it as the index it was made for. -

I don't think it's necessary. There's only about 50 or-so active heroes out on quests, with only about 7 quests on during one time (there are four other threads - The Library, the Heroica Hall, the Discussion topic, the Questmaster Lounge - bringing the average total up to about 11). I doubt that any active Mafia, Mafia School, or Mystery games, will be buried under them, unless the Quests start catering for just one character! -
