Hi, i have not been on here for a very long time. But i have built this crane and it is one of my best models...everyone that see's this crane just loves it. Along time ago on this forum i asked if anyone had instructions to build it and Legonte was very kind to make the instructions for this model (thankyou very much for that) and Han now has the link for them on his site.I had the 8421 crane and scrounged the majority of the parts from my collection and only had to buy some extra pneumatics and chainlinks. I think this crane seams more in scale amd realistic than the original 8421. Thanks so much to you also Han, you designs and models are fantastic. I really enjoy building all your excellent models and carnt wait to see whats coming next. This is getting a little off the topic but, Hans 10 x 4 dump truck is probably one of the most technical and enjoyable models i have made and it too takes pride of place on my display cabnet.

Hi, i have purchased and fitted some third party tires to put on my 8110 mog. The tires i have fitted are the Rok Lox tires with the foam inserts, They look awesome and i was really happy. But after a few days, i noticed the back two tires where not standing up to the weight on the back of the mog, giving a sagging flat tire appearance to the vehicle. Has anyone else had this happen? I must thank all you guys for this forum, as it has pretty much turned my technic addiction into an all consuming life style. Cheers and keep up the crazy great work, Pete.

I am a huge fan of Ingmars creations and i see there are alot of his fans on this forum as well. I'm interested in building some of his awesome creations and i'm sure there are many more technic builders out there that would be interested in making one of his beautiful MOC's. I would like to ask the eurobrick builders to join me in asking Ingmar to make available some instructions so we all could build some of these great creations? I hope i'm not doing anything inappropriate here, i am just saying please and thankyou for such great work. I will add that i only took up technic lego 3 years ago and since then it has become quite an obsession. I will also add that i think all the builders on this forum do amazing and inspiring work for a novice such as myself, cheers Pete.

Gidday mee00rjb, thats an awesome job! Just from pictures you say? Great effort mate. Being a bit of a silly bloke, i don't really understand this MCLAD stuff, but it cerntanly seams to do a really great job in helping out the build. Cheers Pete Hi Bricksonwheels, it is great to be able to put faces to all you amazing lego builders.Be graet if you can post some more photos of your creations. You blokes have got the nac to blend realism wih function. Once again excellent job......more photos or sites that i can view please?? Thanx Pete Once again Blackbird, an amazingly great render. These are a beautiful peice of art. I'd like to put these in a frame they are that good mate.

Hey mate, around the grand mark is seriously pricey. Whoe i did'nt think it would get that high! As for the 8421's i scored one from the U.K for 250au and the second i'm still waiting to turn up from Asia, this was a big purchase of multiple items but each model worked out about 80au. So if it turns out i'll be stacked to the roof with parts......but the o'l storey, i ain't counting the chickens before they've hatched. Imagine what price the parts of Hans new low loader model will come in at??? When you say put up a 'wanted list', does that mean people will get back to you with parts of the list, or full list? I havn't been able workout that site.

One thing i have to say is, these mocs are just amazing in there detail and realisim. Ingmar and Han are the two guys that have re-inspired my technic addiction. I have always loved big prime mover trucks and trailers, and over here in Oz we have our far share of over sized road trains, b-doubles and now b-triples running around in our city streets. I think Ingmar's trailers,or a version of them will make a great b-double moc,.... my question is does anyone have some plans, or experience building these?

Gidday Benly, at the moment i hav'nt bought any parts from anywhere yet. Mainly because i'm having trouble working out what parts i need. Because i'm not familiar wih all these part no's and part buying sites i'm finding it quite confusing.I was lucky enough to pick up a good auction on ebay not long ago so when that arrives i will be the owner of 2x 8421 sets so i'm hoping the extra parts list will drop dramatically.I know from Hans list i need quite alot of the link chain, which i see on the U.S ebay theres a few stores that have 100 or so lots. Does anyone know if these are a resonable price range? Thanx for the feed back anyway. Pete

8421 xl building instructions
squizz replied to squizz's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Lego-j, you are the Uber Lego Maestro !!!! These instruction are fantastic. Thankyou sooo much. Absolutely brilliant! I really am very interested in the process you go through to create such magic......not that i would be able to comprehend it, but just interested in the steps that you follow to do this. Thanx again Pete -
Hi, i'm intersted in peoples suggestions for buying parts for the Aussie lego freak. After just reading the post on Designer Hans new truck build i can see i'm going to need some experts advice on some good parts sourcing for us downunder. I have looked at Lego itself but i find their parts buying section quite limited. I've never used Brickshelf and would like to know if Aussie builders use them with relative ease? Thanx Ludders for you Han post, i can see this being a real challenge, both the parts sourcing and the build. I carn't believe your timing, i was going to post a question to see if anybody had some ideas of motorising and remote controlling the crane truck but this is sooo much better. Thanx Pete

8421 xl building instructions
squizz replied to squizz's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Gidday Blackbird, thats a great picture you've created. It shows a very differnt angle that i have not seen yet. I have been studying the Brickshelf posts on the xxl 8421 but this shot shows me some intersting aspects. I really do not understand the process you guys go through to create these amazing renders. Thanx pete -
8421 xl building instructions
squizz replied to squizz's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Gidday Legolijntje, that sounds absolutely fantastic! Does that mean you could create some building instructions to turn original 8421 into the xl 8421? At the present time i have 2x 8421 sets and have been collecting extra parts needed from hans part list, then i realised there where no instructios that i could access with my limited comp skills.....so your offer if i understand you correctly, would be a really BIG help. Finding this forum has been a great find for me. Thanx for everybody's help so far, Cheers Pete. -
Hi , i'm new to this place. So i hope i'm posting in the right section? I am looking for help to workout how to get hold of Designer Han's building instructions for the upgrade of the 8421 crane to the xl crane. I have the parts list but am unable to download the building insructions. My computer skills are very poor to say the least, so i don't understand any of the tech stuff on his site. Any help in getting hold of these instructions would be of great help to me. Many thanx Pete
