  1. Train layout is awesome, and the city buildings are amazing. Well done!! Just a great layout all around.
  2. Awesome job!! Anytime you can work a bare-butt cannonball, and such nice water rippling techniques, you have a winner . There are some really nice building techniques throughout, well done.
  3. Just had to contact them about a couple of missing pieces. I received an email back in less than 2 hours, and the pieces in 6 days. Can't complain, and the email was nice and professional, much more than you get from most businesses now a days.
  4. Hope there is a force shield around your astromech, poor guy doesn't stand a chance up front... Seriously, I saw this over at FBTB, and thought it was one of the better entries. Really like the clean look, the guns are really nicely positioned, and the radii is detailed well. Best of luck.
  5. I was sure you would be selling Vegamite behind the counter... Seriously, it looks great, LT. Are you looking to add a garage off the side of this building? Or is that more of a US deal, convenience store and service station combo?
  6. WOW!!! Glad you noticed them, I hear the smaller they are, the nastier the sting. I had no idea that scorpions were native to Germany, would have thought it was too far north for them to survive.
  7. Great MOC of a great ride. Always nice to work a stormie head in to the skull mix The detail of the walls looks really nice. The fact that there is no PSing other than the lights is impressive.
  8. Wanted to give a thumbs up to the rock work also. Obviously your eyes are drawn to the rounded walls and tile work of the castle, but the rock base and it's detail is stunning. Overall, just a beautiful build!!!
  9. Thanks for sharing this. In a word, awesome!! I wish I had the patience to create instructions like that....or a MOC that detailed
  10. Looks great, LT. I would definitely go with a logo above the door. Maybe down the sides, not sure if that would get too busy looking. Personally, I'm not sure about putting a hanging display between the fridge and counter. Again, too busy? Or maybe I'm not envisioning what you are, so...opinion -grain of salt and all
  11. To echo BC's comment from 9 months ago...crazy bump. This was a great theme, and in my opinion the best set in the theme. Of all of my sets from the mid-90s, this is my 7 year olds favorite, and he will get it out and play with it often. Some now rare pieces, old style shark (still my favorite of the designs), the manta ray, and dolphin. The undersea lab is really the cornerstone to this set, but the boat design is very nice as well. I had actually looked at this review not too long ago, glad to see others liked it as well as I did, and my son now does.
  12. Just saw this myself. May not be quite as appealing now. Kind of sad, it would have been nice to get a truly exclusive fig, or at least a torso.
  13. Beat me to it. Brickdoctor. I guess for a few shorts, plus the minifig, the price point isn't too painful. Personally, I'm hoping for the non-corrected name on the shirt, I couldn't tell from the poster which way it read.
  14. During the summer of 2010, I had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. The Dr encouraged me to do hand exercises, squeezing stress balls, etc. I decided to dig out all of my mid-90s sets and put them together. I had always looked at Lego when i was in TRU with the kids, but hadn't bought a set since the initial release of HP and SW, and these were just the impulse sets. The first sets I bought were Public Transportation, the Passenger Train, and the Airport. A hell of a jump back in, but no reason to ease back in the water.
  15. I know this thread is in-store PAB, but is it possible to buy k boxes from S@H? I don't think I missed it throughout the thread. Or is this a LUG only deal? Tried to search on Lego's site, but couldn't find anything. I'm 3+ hours from the closest store, and approx. 5 hrs from the closest group, so kind of stuck in no man's land for a store. Sorry to go off topic.
  16. He's talking about the rigging piece. It's listed as MdStone. If you look at the rear view of the ship, it is the pieces that make up the middle of the ship. They are listing for between 15-30$US
  17. Ok, so after reading this thread (over and over), I took a look down the parts list on peeron. The parts are doable, even the rigging piece only lists about $0.30 US on BL. The sheer volume of some of the parts is staggering, something like 110 3 X 6 wings (right and left combined). Think I may start doing some inventorying of parts this week, and see if I can some close to knocking out a percentage of the list. Looks like holding to 8480 shuttle may pay off for the technic parts. I am the poster child for needing to to this "on the cheap", so I hope to be able to give the folks on the french forum a run for their money.
  18. Great review, and a fantastic set. Sadly, it didn't survive from when I owned it in the 90s, odd considering most things did. It is definitely a must re-buy for me. Thanks for sharing.
  19. I've seen several people mention new sets after seeing them in this special (mainly Jabba). Is there some historical precedence to think this may happen, prior specials spawning sets? Wishful thinking?
  20. Must have dropped the smilie... (<--this one)
  21. I'll have to get the BR now, since I share the same name as the "menace". ..and my name isn't Han (so no fear of messed up history)
  22. "I fart in your general direction" (yeah, I could take the high road... ) Every one of these are great!!!
  23. Another fine job, LT!!! You have truly came into your own, doing the modern-classic Lego designs. Will be on the lookout for the interior updates.
  24. Nice railcar. I assume this would be for coal hauling?
  25. Will we be seeing any of these minifigs showing up in your Bricklinks store? The Pulp Fiction, and Clockwork ones in particular (for me ).
